I've always noticed how Eminem pronounces the short "e" sound like a short "i" sound. I think he has the "pen-pin merger" which in linguistics means that he pronounces those two words the same, even in natural speech. It's an actual thing that happens in some parts of America (Source: I'm a language nerd). Words with the short "e" sound the same as words with the short "i" sound. It definitely gives him the advantage when rhyming those words and he uses it for the whole rhyme scheme haha.
