    Hi, thanks for the video! I'm wondering if I can free up my two front instrument inputs (one for my guitar) and using TRS cables from left and right from Reverb pedal to balanced line inputs on my interface? will that still work? Thanks again man :)

      Hey! Running the output of your reverb pedal into a line input should work. That said, for the best performance, usually you'd want to use a DI box or line isolator. Like this one: www.walrusaudio.com/products/canvas-stereo-dual-line-isolator-d-i?variant=42416441688299

      @@lukezecchin Hey thanks so much Robert! I have the Meris mercury 7 reverb hooked up to the rear and now front two inputs are free now for two XLR's coming from the line outputs of my Fender twin. So nice to be able to add that stereo reverb seperate from the dry guitar tone. Sounds much clearer. Thanks again man

    can you use distortion pedals as well? or it only works with pedal that does have kill dry mode?

      Yes, you can certainly use distortion pedals! You just have to double-check the phase when you're running two dry signals in parallel.

    This is a great walk through of how to do this. Thanks for sharing! I’m in the midst of trying to get my Eventide H90 set up for this to run guitars and vocals through it.
    Quick question - at 16:50 when you create the track to record the wet signal, should the track input be the FX Loop Bus rather than inputs 1 & 2? Does using inputs 1 & 2 bypass the latency calculation that the I/O plugin performed on the FX Loop Bus, or is that still factored in somehow?

      Hey! Yeah, the H90 is the perfect pedal to set up as an outboard unit. That's going to sound awesome ; )
      Great question. I've never had any issues capturing the direct output from the pedal. That said, the latency on my system is extremely low. And I'm also capturing the delay or reverb at 100% wet. So there's no real chance of phase problems with the original track.
      However, if you're having issues, the other way to do it would be to send the output of your FX Loop to a new Bus. And then record it from there. Like this: ua-cam.com/video/5wnEIGeZcZA/v-deo.html
      Anyway, I hope that helps!

      @@lukezecchin thanks very much! I’ll experiment with both of these methods. Take care!

    Hi, great video but I haven't gotten it to work. Does the interface need to have a balanced (XLR) Out? I have a Focusrite 6i6 and it only has unbalanced TRS outputs.

    • @lukezecchin
      @lukezecchin  11 місяців тому

      Hey! Yeah, a reamp box can accept line level from either XLR or TRS. That said you may need a TRS to XLR cable if your reamp box only has an XLR input. Hope that helps ; )

      Thanks, I just purchased a reamp box, hopefully that will take care of it!@@lukezecchin

      Thanks for the reply. I got a reamp, it's just feeding back a lot. I can hear the effect, but it's really faint and it's mostly feedback. Even when nothing is playing in logic. @@lukezecchin

      I had the same issue when I went direct into the pedal without a reamp.
