I Realize not all of your readers will appreciate what I am About to tell you that I found At this very thrift shop. A few years back I dropped into the first thrift store that you mentioned and found a full-length mink coat. There were other furs there that day. I bought this milk fur. When I travel north, I take the coat because it truly is the warmest thing I have ever worn.
I lived in DFW for 30 years and loved thrifting there. You hit some of the great spots in this video! I would also add the Salvation Army on Inwood in the hospital District for great furniture and Metrocrest Thrift in Addison for its curated collections of furniture and clothing. I lived in Carrollton for the last 21 years and heard there were some great spots popping up in Frisco, too, but have not checked them out. We live in Texarkana now and are busy checking out the thrift stores in this area!
New subscriber- thanks for sharing 😉 wish you would show prices of items so viewers could get an idea of prices I’m in north Dallas & can’t wait to ck these out!!
I went to Thrift World and St. Vincent today 😊 I realized as exited the hwy that I have been to that Thrift World just last week for the 1st time. St. Vincent had 50% off furniture today, and I scored an entry/sofa table for $30 and a garden potting table for $12.50! I went to the Thrift World right down the street from St. Vincent and scored a vintage 100% cashmere wool coat for $16 ❤
At Saint Vincent thrift store I was there as I observed one day.. so as the staff brings out pieces of furniture one at a time ..there’s already people there waiting and whoever is first to grab the price tag.. gets to buy..people are there waiting for hours and they are pros at it ..we’re talking about the good pieces… and if you get into an argument or a situation ..they will not sell that piece. They’ll put it back in and bring it out later.
I’m a pro video editor and I live in Dallas. I love going to thrift and vintage shops. Editing suggestion: clean cuts are much better than all of the wipes. They are very distracting and something we don’t use. If you have to use a transition, can’t go wrong with a dissolve. 👍🏼
I live in Fort Worth too and you’re right! Have you ever gone to Harvest house thrift store in Burleson? They have nice things and they price them reasonably
I just found u! I live in N. Dallas & will check these out. I also like ACO in Allen on Main and Lifesavers on W. Campbell in Richardson. They are small venues.
I like ACO too! They had 40% off the entire store the other day and scored a burgundy (trendy color this fall/winter) Cole Haan suede like purse or $10 😊 I go there for the furniture mainly.
Definitely going to check all of these out. I have been looking for new thrift stores. I live in the Oakcliff area so these are all pretty close to me.
Hi new subscriber here from Irving neighbor. I think it would be really helpful for us locals if you'd mention which location you are referring to. For instance you say "Thrift Giant" but there are several in our area. I love the Genesis purpose but it's like shopping retail honestly. Spendy but for a good cause. Out of The Closet is another one along these lines.
We used to used those cocktail-margarita glasses for serving Louisiana shrimp cocktail-hooked the shrimp aground the edge and had the dip in the middle- I didn’t even know those glasses meant for alcohol until I was grown! 😂😂😂😁🎄🙌 thanks for the tour- new where and this helps so much. Subscribed.
Would it be possible for you to include the prices you see and pay for items you look at next time? Having an idea of how a store prices their items is beneficial to many of us. Thank you for these recommendations. The YELP reviews for the Thrift World on Forest aren't very favorable mainly due to overpricing in the opinion of those commenting. Have you been to Thrift Giant? There are a few locations around town. They mainly have clothes but I've found some good items (clothes and otherwise) at fair prices there.
If you bought that painting I thought you would want to know that it was signed. Don't know if it was valuable but the signature was a little above where you were pointing and hidden in the grass.
But thank you for pointing that out. I always do research on artist paintings. I never paint over signed art and I see they have collectors. I take them to antique stores to sell.
I did lots of decor in Dallas and it's so nice to see them moved away from Old World. Mid Century back then would have been a big no. I think you're a gem. So fun so midcentury transitional. Years ago, I lived off Forest Lane. Your moody color in your room is fanastic!!
I took some actual vintage clothes to Dolly Parton about 20 years ago, but at that time all they were interested in was t-shirts. They just wanted funky t-shirts.
Loved your shops you went thru wish that you had more time to film the jewelry up close an slower to look at the pieces better but enjoyed your video thanx
@ What?! Where in CA?! I must not live next to the good ones although you’d think the Bay Area would be good since there’s so much money there. We’ve now moved out to a more country town, and I had high hopes, but not here either. Maybe I’m just not seasoned enough as a thrifter and haven’t fine tuned my eye for things.
1. Hear the word that the LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel. 2. This is what the LORD says: 3. “Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by the signs in the heavens, though the nations themselves are terrified by them. 4. For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut down a tree from the forest; it is shaped with a chisel by the hands of a craftsman. 5. They adorn it with silver and gold and fasten it with hammer and nails, so that it will not totter. 6. Like scarecrows in a cucumber patch, their idols cannot speak. They must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them, for they can do no harm, and neither can they do any good.” 7. There is none like You, O LORD. You are great, and Your name is mighty in power. Jeremiah 10:1-6
So many of us have survived by giving and shopping thrift stores. It irks me that now upper class & hipsters are visiting...driving up the "thrift" prices, making it so "happy". BS

You should try White Rick Center of Hope Thift Store on Garland Rd. They help the homeless and they have food drives too.
I’m so happy to find thrift shopping videos in the dfw 😊
I live in Fort Worth and wish we had this quality of thrift stores. I would love for you to share prices!
I live in Fort Worth too and you’re right! Have you ever gone to Harvest house thrift store in Burleson? They have nice things and they price them reasonably
I’ve been shopping at Dolly Pythons for 25 years. They always have beautiful real fur and ostrich feathers ❤
I just found u! I live in N. Dallas & will check these out. I also like ACO in Allen on Main and Lifesavers on W. Campbell in Richardson. They are small venues.

Yep ACO my favorite!
Came here to recommend ACO too! Best home section in Collin County.
Thanks for sharing. My daughter wants cowboy boots and Dolly Python looks amazing for those.
I was just there the week before Christmas and wanted to thrift. I found some good stuff but didn't know where to go. Now I'll know for next time
I'm in Mesquite and a couple of these stores were new to me so thanks for sharing!
Love Genesis. Great cause, great stuff.
Thanks for the heads up! Very helpful info! Prices? That is the bottom line in “thrifting”.
I live in Fort Worth and wish we had this quality of thrift stores
Hi there, I am in Dallas and I shop at all these stores. So fun! Thanks for sharing. :-)
You are so welcome. I hope to run into you one day!
I live in Quitman, about 1 1/2 hours east of Dallas…. I’m going to save this video so I can come check out those stores😊
I'm going to venture out to these stores tomorrow! ❤ I'm decluttering too but need a dresser or a sofa table!
Definitely going to check all of these out. I have been looking for new thrift stores. I live in the Oakcliff area so these are all pretty close to me.
The first two are my faves in the area too! I had forgotten about Dolly and Genesis, haven’t been there in many years, but will have to check it out.
Salvation Army in Dallas Harry Hines/Inwood 1/2 price Wednesdays is my favorite
Really great furniture!

Thanks for sharing, love to thrift shop ❤❤😊
Very interesting! I live Dallas TX and I have visit a few of those stores.
Maybe I will see you one day shopping!
Appreciate your video. Thanks I found one new place.
Love this video! Thanks ❤
Thank you! Very helpful.

Lots of great stuff
I was SVDP on Saturday. Found a beautiful 10 cup CorningWare percolator in the Spice of Life pattern
If you bought that painting I thought you would want to know that it was signed. Don't know if it was valuable but the signature was a little above where you were pointing and hidden in the grass.
Ya I noticed when I rewatched the video. I didn’t buy it!
But thank you for pointing that out. I always do research on artist paintings. I never paint over signed art and I see they have collectors. I take them to antique stores to sell.

I love Dolly Python. Unique pieces.
New sub., I've been to the one on N.W. Highway, but it's been a good while I did really like it, I live farther away now. 😒 TFS
Hi. Did you post the addresses? I’m a new follower, I live just south of Dallas, but will make the drive. Thanks, and great video,
Addresses are in the video description
Thank you for making this video. I’m in the Dallas area and I had no idea about these thrift stores
Genesis used to be my favorite, but so hard to get into now as it has gotten popular
I took some actual vintage clothes to Dolly Parton about 20 years ago, but at that time all they were interested in was t-shirts. They just wanted funky t-shirts.
Out of the Closet, Casa View Thrift are good ones too.
I live in the Dallas area, so I'm giving your channel a follow. Do we love thrifting or what?
I didn't like the pictures in the last store either, but I saw a few beautiful frames so I would buy them anyway and change out the artwork..
Loved your shops you went thru wish that you had more time to film the jewelry up close an slower to look at the pieces better but enjoyed your video thanx
I'll slow down a video sometimes to get more detail.
I live in California and am watching this with bated breath as if I have any access to these stores right now! 😂
Come for a visit. California has the BEST thrift stores. I am always jealous!

All the more reason to visit Dallas!
I appreciate this video and the actual thrift stores.. but Dolly Python is a vintage shop.. not a thrift store by any means.
Good to know. There ain’t NO SUCH THING as a thrift store in Rockwall county😢
You let go of the gold lamps but you grab that stupid twig. OMG.

SO annoyed to find some of my favorite haunts exposed to folks who frequently don't NEED the savings or are purchasing for resale...
