This rip is missing over half of the 6th track "At the Pyramid Ball". If anybody wants to hear the entire tape, I uploaded it over a year ago on my channel: ua-cam.com/video/z-ROCB5wzZk/v-deo.htmlsi=Eu2zBXB93f7DDqp5
Good catch. But unfortunately, I'm looking at this version and the one you posted side by side in a spectrum analyzer and this one is superior. I mean, hauntingly superior.
I just discovered that the version here is the direct tape rip. And the version you have is the mp3 you would get directly from the ZBS foundation website where Tim actually included the extended version of the track as he wasn't limited to time constraints of cassette. Would be Great if Tim and ZBS foundation gave us a re-release of all of these recordings and presented them in Flac format. Because everything he released from 1987 to 1989 smoothly and logically leads up to his "Tales of the sun people" release on Hearts of Space.
@@percyvolnar8010 I have now owned 2 copies of the cassette and can assure you that the complete version of “At The Pyramid Ball” is on the physical release. Unfortunately the master tapes to Myth, Ruby 3 & Dreams of Rio were discarded after a ZBS purge and they only digitized tape rips with Dolby NR (like the one on my channel) to Mp3, so the tape rips are unfortunately as good as we will get from these releases.
@@FrenchKettleStation Hey! Thanks for responding. This is interesting. Because SOD does not truncate their direct rips and has a pretty good track record of owning their mistakes and re-uploading the corrections. However, I think there is something more to this because "At the pyramid ball" gets too upbeat and somewhat doesn't fit with the rest of the album. So I'm wondering if there was an actual release where "At the pyramid ball" is exactly as we are hearing it here? I'm certainly not discounting your owning multiple copies of this cassette where this isnt the case. But because ZBS Foundation is an indy label, this could be a possibility. Mind you, I thoroughly scrubbed this capture and here the fade-out seems consistent with Tim's other fades on the album. It feels like Tim did it himself. I like your full version, but this is a rip from a damned-near pristine cassette and it is detailed. In many ways better than the mp3 they offer at the ZBS foundation website. I sense SOD is capturing these cassettes at high resolutions. And I would love access to the raw file of this capture. Hopefully, SOD sees this interaction and can provide some info for us! Thanks again for responding. Hopefully, we can get to the bottom of this.
this album is tickling all my neuroreceptors just right ☺ longtime fan of New Age work, and it's a real treat to listen to the earlier small label stuff. Thanks for all you do!
@@Dorian-Rook 80's new age is UNBEATABLE. From the mainstream to the independent, The divinity, the magic, nothing comes close. A truly magical time to be alive. Wish i could go back for a spell or two ☺
Yup. All of tim's music is the kind of stuff you listen to while flipping through a "Heavy Metal' comic magazine from the 70's ( Which also included moebius' artwork ).
@@feywerfolevado6286 ZBS foundation also does audio plays with voice actors that appeared on public radio. Tim Clark was the guy responsible for creating the background music for these audio plays. Albums like This one Myth, Ruby 3 and Ruby 4 are all music Tim wrote for these radio plays. Hope this makes sense.
