• Ignition - Storm Realm...
The sequel to the critically acclaimed survival racing game Nitronic Rush, Distance, is the game in which this video takes place.
I'd been playing Nitronic Rush for a couple of years, back when Distance was still in development, and was alerted to the existence of an entire Acceleracers community nestled in the game's Steam workshop.
I know I got excited when I discovered the first few realms. This is one of my own creations, I'll upload more play-throughs as I find the time.

Holy shit, this is awesome!
My journey that led me here:
Humming the Acceleracers theme and wondered what the actual lyrics were.
Singing along to the Acceleracers theme blasting in full bass at 4 am.
Began searching for the entire Acceleracers OST.
After listening to the entire sound track I listened to each song again as I download them one by one.
After that I decided to look into this Acceleracers video game my ost searching brought up.
Found Distance > Scrounged up quarters and dimes to buy Distance > Will be playing Distance soon.
On PC currently, but it's still in beta. Once it's released, it'll be on PS4 as well.

Since it's built in Unity 5, however, it'll run on just about anything.
ΩPUS how much? And are there other cars?
$20, unless it's on a sale (no microtransactions, won't ever be, hallelujah) and the game is still in development. After the game is officially released, the developers will probably add support for custom car models, but it's a little ways out.

This was amazing. I always wondered why Vert slammed the brakes at the end of the Storm realm. I knew he got distracted, but this perspective makes a lot more sense. The lightning was insane.

Custom car model support would be sweet, but it's up to the devs once the game is released whether or not it'll be implemented.

Holy shit! You should make it so it's a legit race to the end of the realms in a 1 hour time limit. I've been waiting for a game like this forever. Try to make all the realms and even the ones that weren't seen in the movies. I'm definitely getting this.

I'm currently working on an updated Metro Realm (Xiooo did one, but it was before the creativity update) and, needless to say, it's taking quite a while to complete.
I hope to have it done before the end of October, and I'll upload a playthrough video as soon as it's finished, as well as post a link to the track file in the description, until I can update it on the Steam Workshop (at one point or another it stopped allowing me to edit the file, so I had to switch to the experimental branch which doesn't have workshop support just yet).
After that, I hope to redo the Neon Pipeline realm, and after that who knows?

and every car of hot wheels acceleracers, maniacs and teku, would be great, drifting aswell, the tracks with a better definition since we enter in the realm, the accelechargers, many ways to reach the objective, it will have so many success, think about it, try to make it like an adventure game, it will be hard to do but believe in me, it will have so many success!! many people like me have just waiting all their lives to have a game of acceleracers just like the movies! with everything! good luck

HYPE!!!!! IF THERE SHOULD BE ANY HOT WHEELS GAME THEY SHOULD MAKE IT SHOULD BE THIS! I might buy a ps4 JUST for this. I almost dont want to view each track for spoilers lol. If they add drones, other racers, and at least 20 realms, this game could really take off! I've always thought that if Hot wheels decides to make an acceleracers game, it would be amazing simply stemming from its concept. HYPE
Get it for PC, I'm not sure the PS4 release will have community map support. Get an old desktop and slap a GT 1030 in it, and you can have decent performance.

Isn't there something special about the storm realm? Remember the drones on the track way before the movie took place? Weren't they like cutting the track?
I'm not sure, I think the storm realm was headquarters to the Accelerons before the drones were cast out.

You can't customize your car yet, but you can customize music.
This isn't actually an Acceleracers game, its an indie game called Distance, you can buy it on Steam or PS4 and download modded maps from the Acceleracers series.
I know, the title is clickbait to attract more attention to the game.

OMG the nostalgia! So you say this is a game called Distance? And that you made this track yourself? Dang how long did it take you? I know it's only on PC but if it ever dropped on the PS4 I'd buy it immediately.
The game is indeed called Distance, and I did make the track myself. It took me approx. 16 hours to get it to the state you see it in. The game is coming to PS4 upon its' official release.
ΩPUS Do you know when that is? Because I looked and the announcement trailer release on December 2nd, 2014. 2 1/2 years ago.
Well, nobody really knows. The release dates were really just best guesses, the game is going to be released when it's ready. The team is rather small, so right now we're going through a lot of revision through feedback from the community.

The only way this game could be better was being able to model your own car. Or at least have a few different bodies to customize.

Oh, don't worry, Sony will make sure it's got a really nice PR campaign before its' official release. Not enormous like NMS, they're not stupid enough to make that type of a mistake again, but you'll know.
