Rita, I have just read your text. I will pray for you shortly. I am grieved by the response you received from Tessa Logan. I know that you are praying for the Lord's help, and I want you to know that we all struggle with something; and if we are not struggling at the moment it is because of God's grace "so no one should boast". St. Paul more than once referred to the mystery of God's will, and Paul succinctly boiled it down to (I paraphrase) "all of us are going to disobey God so none of us can think well of ourselves; and then He will show us his Mercy in the righteousness of Jesus Christ." It is not the easiest thing to put all your faith/trust in a Person, but that is what we are asked to do. I pray for that kind of faith every day. Amen.
Stop struggling. When you struggle it’s by your own effort and you are not strong enough. Seek the understanding from God so that you can be set free from whatever has a hold on you. No struggling required, only seeking.
Jesus knew all my past, present and future sins before I was born and yet still died for me. Sanctification is the worst thing a true believer has to go through because we want to get rid of sin once for all....but maybe that would make us proud? All glory HAS to go to Jesus because NOTHING good comes out of us. Desperately ask Him to open your eyes to a sin that is slowly destroying your life without you knowing it and once He does, fight !! God bless!!
I gave my life to the Lord of Jesus Christ on February 16, 1996 in repentance of my sins, and trespasses. I still struggle with sin in the flesh among other believers. I pray, and confess on a daily basis in obedience to God.
"Because I, the Lord, do not change, you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed. Yet from the days of your fathers, you have turned away from My statutes and have not kept them. I am so thankful to the Father for making this happen. I am so grateful for the Holy Spirit for helping us see it. And I am so overjoyed by Jesus for showing us how to love Him back.
Great video, but let me add God does discipline us by being taking His comforting pressance away so we can turn to Him again, to be awakened to what we've done in our sin and cry out to Him as child does when he/she has lost a parent in a crowd
I asked God out loud "God, are you ever angry at me?" and to my surprise he responded. Not audibly but to my mind. He said, "Never, my son." I know it sounds weird but it happened to me. It was in a time of anguish over my own sin and confusion over how God viewed me a few years ago. When he spoke I did notice a few things about the interaction. First, the only reason I knew who was "speaking" to my mind was because He let me know who he was. It brought to mind the verse saying "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." -John 10:27 Second, was the shear authority of his being. He had/has ALL THE AUTHORITY. I was in awe of Him but also not terrified at the time, despite His absolute authority. I don't know if it's because He didn't allow me feel fear or because I knew who He was, that I didn't feel fear but either way I just felt awe and respect and honor for Him. Thirdly, I remember that I could tell he smiled/was happy with me after he said "Never, my son." This might not be well received if you believe God doesn't speak to people anymore but it was my experience. TBH I still have A LOT of trouble reconciling the presence of my own sin with this experience but I try to hold onto this experience, when I'm in doubt and discouraged over my own salvation.
YES YES MY BROTHER!!! This is a method God speaks to us! Develop an internal dialogue with the heavenly Father, who loves you unconditionally. I must inform you to tighten your relationship with the Lord more. Familiarize and learn scripture by applying your heart to it as proverbs tells us. Only then, will the Holy Spirit have more authority over terrain in your mind to guide you. Renew your mind continually with scripture. Equip it more like food, don’t quench it. Eventually, prayer will seem like a conversation between you and God. Its completely possible!!!
Thankyou so much for this channel, it’s helped me more than words can say! Also Pastor John’s other channels. May God bless all of you who make these channels / shows possible! Amen 🙏🏻
It depends on if you're talking about believers or unbelievers. The scriptures say God is angry with unbelievers every day and the wrath of God is on them already just not in its consummation. I believe what Piper said is about right. He's angry at believers when we sin but in a very different way.
"GOD CORRECTS AND NOT IN ANGER" . Really , you mean when he got his son gruesomely and brutally tortured and murdered , he wasn't angry ? And when he burns people forever , he's not angry ? Ya , he's full of love alright . Indoctrination in action .
I believe it depends on the sin & circumstances. Your father on Earth wouldn't hate you for doing something wrong, he still loves us, we need to keep repenting and trying.
Tessa Logan This is true of course! The fleshed out life of a Christian is figuring out how best to use our whole lives to honor and love God and people the most. The best person to mimic would of course be Jesus who didn’t live for himself or selfish pleasure but for the glory of the father. Simplifying the commands doesn’t remove all need for Christian but focuses it on the why of what we do which is to honor God.
If you follow those two long enough, the others will eventually come naturally. And will they will be pleasing to follow instead of a burden. And then that opens us up for the true blessings that are meant for us.
He is if you're angry with yourself. Love yourself so you can love others, God is allways with you in you so don't worry he does not hate you. Just....use your brain and follow your heart and you're allright. Oh and the most importand thing is, have faith and give your soul to Jesus. God bless 🙋🏻♂️
I am glad I'm on the right side . Lucky and I thank him for calling me back my whole life. I know he carried me before I even thought about my sins . I feel like he knew I was going to come to him
I’ve made some horrible decisions and God is mad at me. I’ve willfully sin and I regretted full heartedly. The choices that I’ve made. Turn my mindset and decisions into something unholy. I’m terrified of God and myself and I feel so hopeless that I’m about to lose it..
Its Wheetie I honestly believe the wicked are sinners period, saved or not, righteous or unrighteous. From my experience he us just angry period. I see a God of wrath, look at our world. I wouldn't describe him as loving
Yes He is angry, but it’s not a condemning anger, it’s more of a ‘father who is disappointed in their son’ type of anger. He hates your sin and will discipline you, but He won’t throw you out. There’s different types of anger.
I don't like to take advantage of God's grace and I'm wary of doing so but every now and then I find myself doing it. Recently I was condemning myself so much about my sins that I went to the other extreme and decided to keep on thinking about a crude joke in my head because I was fed up of beating myself up for every little thing. Next thing you know I found myself self harming with my fingernail....because I felt like God deeply despised me for entertaining the crude joke.
when you are really honest with yourself in the depths of sin...its just disgusting. I look back on the last 20 odd years and realise how I have wasted those years. Sin will find us out, thats a fact. I think you got to get to a point where you are so sick and tired of whatever sin is hindering you, that you give it up? I dont know....at times it seems hopeless.
@@pauluskim2028 "An enemy can be slighted, but only a friend can be grieved." ....Meaning, only an enemy will be offended to the point of retaliation, while a friend, even though offended, is much more likely to forgive the offense in light of the greater affection he has for his friend. Make sense?
I think another way to look at it is that God is our Father. Like our earthly father, of course he is upset with our sin and our wrongdoing. But he still loves us no matter what. However God's love is so much greater than anybody on earth possibly could. He MADE the world and He MADE US and He should be more upset because we are His creation and masterpiece.
God got angry with Moses in Exodus 4. When we disobey God, are we obedient children? Or do we in that moment become disobedient children? IF we disobey God, we become disobedient. Should He be happy with us then? Or can He get angry? He is perfect. He never changes.

If You think that You can still sin after Christ paid the price and took away your sin, then grace is given so that you may repent and behold the lamb of God.
The way I think about it is by remembering that he’s not just angry in the Old Testament, he’s grieved. When one of my friends ticks me off I get angry. But it’s not the same kind of anger that I get when I see one of my friends making choices that I know is going to get them hurt. When I warn them and they continue to go down that bad path. It makes me angry, but I feel more grieved than I do angry... I’m not angry at them, I’m angry at the sin. I think this is similar to how God sees it. After all, He doesn’t define us by our sin. We may live in sin, but it doesn’t define us.
If anyone does not believe in the total forgiveness of Christ's finished work on the cross then they are still believing that God holds them accountable for their sins and will need chastisement and discipline from God to get straightened out and back on track like pastor is teaching then , Christ to them has died for nothing and do not really understand what the good news of total forgiveness and sanctification really is to the believer". Stop working and start resting in what he has already done"
God is ALWAYS justified. When He asks not to do certain things, it’s not because He wants is to miss out on ‘fun’. It’s because He knows the consequences of certain behaviours/actions. Isn’t it then logical to be disappointed or angry when we do what we know we shouldn’t. We are all rebellious children who want to do what we want. It’s like when your parents warn you about certain things because they have more knowledge and understanding and can see what may happen..but we think we know it all.. then we wake up one day and realize all the lost chances in life, the mistakes that happened, the things that went wrong.. we could have avoided them if we had just listened!!! God is our Eternal and Holy Father. He gave us the gift of free choice, even knowing that certain things could harm us.. but those were the choices we made! I still continuously fall in certain things, but in other things I have changed my self ..only because of His Holy Spirit which gave me strength. Which has filled my life. I owe ALL the good things to God, my life is a Testimony to His Mercy, His love, His Grace, His blessings, His unconditional love, His awesomeness! I don't have a natural father who was anything but kind, strong, gracious, patient, loving, and shows and communicates that love. Yet, I have that picture of God from what I can only call my experience with Him. He seems to be distant, though by faith, I believe he's close. He seems disappointed and frustrated with me, though by faith, I don't believe that matches his nature toward me. He seems unwilling to show me love and affection outside of the cross (which is a beautiful transcendent reality), though by faith, I believe he's merciful and loving. It seems to me, we need to be considering at least as much that feelings aren't trustworthy or even worthy of being sought in relationship with God. It's faith alone, right, that is evidence of the reality of all these things he's bought for us in Christ? And many of the verses strongly suggest that such experiences of God's delight are reserved for heaven. Either that, or in my depression, I'm not able to experience the emotion that comes along at times with being loved by God, or I'm not saved and his wrath does rest on me.
I'd say God gets frustrated and disappointed when we do, but also isn't surprised as God knows we're all fallen sinners. God also corrects us because He loves us.
+Stacy Caruso..We Need ALL Be Accountable for ourselves..but sadly we have not much control over other people. Money and pleasure is the god of this world..so it seems to matter not what we do to harm ourselves or others..if it makes money and is fun..it is done! I agree..Sin is serious..and there are So Many Ways to Do Wrong! But we cannot be Saved from Sin until we Stop sinning!
Sometimes I really have a hard time understanding John Pipers very high level theological explanation of things. I wish my mind was in sync with his so I could understand better. But, God has all of our minds in different spaces for a reason.
BOTH REPENTANCE AND FORGIVENESS IS POWERFUL, THERE IS TRUE POWER IN THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST, IN, THROUGH, AND BY HIM, ALONE CAN ANY MAN BE SAVED AND CLEANSED FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS AND IT IS ONLY BY HIM CAN ONE LEARN HOW TO FORGIVE!
God is angry at Sin every Day. When ww repent and Confess our Sins, He is Faithful to forgive us and throw our sins into the sea of forgetfulness, removing ithem as far as the east is to the west.
If one is continually sinning and not repenting than they are not in Christ Jesus. Everyone should repent daily cause we sin daily. Ask G-d what sins should they repent from(if they’re not sure/worried) and ask Him for the confidence and faith and ability and desire to turn from it.
Its hard for me to know/feel that God delights in me, loves me, is pleased with me, because I know the depth of my sinful heart, and I know that God knows it even better and clearer. I don't know how such God can just love me because of Jesus. This doesn't make sense to me.
How to test if you are in the faith and are really saved? 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? From this verse we know that we can certainly know if we are saved. But how can you know if you are really saved? The scriptures clearly say: James 2:10-11 KJV For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, he is GUILTY OF ALL. [11] For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. You will probably say, “But we are not UNDER THE LAW because Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law (Gal. 3:13)” Certainly. But do you not know that you are ONLY NOT under the law if you already died to it? Have you died to the law? How do you know? Please read these verses carefully. It clearly says that if you sin, you are still a servant of sin and sin leads to death. You are therfore still under the law if you still struggle with sin. Romans 6:1-7,11,14-16,18,20-23 KJV Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? [2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? [3] Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE. [5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: [6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. [7] FOR HE THAT IS DEAD IS FREED FROM SIN. If you are still sinning you are NOT YET DEAD from the law. You have not yet been crucified with Christ. It is clear that we can be freed from sinning by dying to it. [11] Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. [14] For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. [15] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. [16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? [18] Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. [20] For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. [21] What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. [22] But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. [23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 3:31 KJV Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW. (those who died to sin have fulfilled the law because he does not cause anyone to stumble by loving his neighbor, therefore, they will not be judged under the law because they do not transgress it.) Jesus said likewise that whoever sins is a servant of sin. If he sets you free from it you are free indeed. That way you are able to fulfill the law. John 8:34,36 KJV Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. [36] If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. James 3:2 KJV For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. You might say it's not talking about those who sin unintentionally but to those who wilfully sin. How do you differentiate wilful versus unintentional sinning? James 4:17 KJV Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. If you commit adultery and you know the commandment that thou shalt not commit adultery and whoever lusts after a woman in his heart already commits adultery, you sin wilfully. Therefore you are convinced of the law as transgressor, therefore you will be judged under the law in the day of judgment. Romans 2:6 KJV Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Who have ears to hear let him hear, Jesus said.

Jesus said that God is "your heavenly Father." If you disobey your earthly father, he will be angry, but he won't stop loving you. God doesn't put anybody in a pigeon-hole.
Honestly, I do not see how God can be angry at anyone for sinning when He knew exactly what each one of us would do before even creating us. How can God be angry at the results of what He planned to happen?
That is exactly right"! you have found true freedom in Christ". He does not get angry because he only sees the righteousness of Christ and not us as sinners anymore".
A correction to my earlier statement. Louie "the pope kisser" Giglio and his team organize and host Passion. Still, John should be separating himself from Moore and new age practices at this event. he has no excuse. The speakers list goes out at least a month before the conference.
Romans 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
What about Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5) and 1 Corinthians 11, where Paul writes about some getting sick and even dying because of the unworthy manner in which they were partaking the Lord's supper? God seems in these cases to be judging His church (though maybe not finally condemning?!?). The book of revelation would be another letter/testimony to consider. Is God angry with me when I sin? It seems the answer may be, maybe. What is God's disposition towards me in Christ when I stumble? It depends. As parents, does not our disposition depend many factors - their motive in their act and their response to correction, to name a couple? Though I cannot ever imagine doing what the Lord doing did to Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5, could it not mean that at times the Lord still does punish and bring judgment upon His people?
1 Peter 4:17 KJV For the time is come that JUDGMENT MUST BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF GOD: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
If you confess your sins, He(Jesus Christ) is just and faithful to forgive you and cleanse you up of all sin. Confess to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ and His blood poured out in the Cross of Calvary is more than sufficient to purify your soul. And to resist all the devil and demons repent and sin no more!
After a break up I prayed for God to heal me and fill me with His love and peace to surpass how I feel. I know He will heal me but sometimes I get tempted to smoke weed. How do I beat my temptations? Also, I always feel like I’m trying to make shortcuts like “it’s just a few puffs, I won’t get high” In the Bible it says to be sober so that’s why I would think “It’s just a few puffs, I won’t get high”
God will never ever get angry with you , god is not like us , god is very powerful and very secure in himself . If God was a get with us for commiting sin then be could only be angry with himself for him creating us with the ability to sin. God allows us to sin in fact god makes us sin so that we can learn from that sin . We are here to learn from sin , and it is forced upon us so that we can learn , God does not like sin and wishes we did not sin but god needs us to learn and grow from our experiencies on earth . Just know that your sins are your life lessons they are not your fault but they are your karma and so sins have to be punished to learn from them but that is only temporary . All is redeemed and all is forgiven , god loves his children very much and after our earthly experiences on earth god will reward us with happiness and eternal life in heaven

All glory HAS to go to Jesus because NOTHING good comes out of us. Desperately ask Him to open your eyes to a sin that is slowly destroying your life without you knowing it and once He does, fight !! God bless!!

Amen Amen Hallelujah. Thank you Jesus, for your Love and mercy and your forgiveness. I'm nothing without you.
I gave my life to the Lord of Jesus Christ on February 16, 1996 in repentance of my sins, and trespasses. I still struggle with sin in the flesh among other believers. I pray, and confess on a daily basis in obedience to God.
Oh what did you do that made you become so obedient? Is he saying anything back?
"Because I, the Lord, do not change, you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed.
Yet from the days of your fathers, you have turned away from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord of Hosts. “But you ask, ‘How can we return?’"

Love your videos! Keep it up God uses this ministry in an amazing way!
It brought to mind the verse saying "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." -John 10:27
Second, was the shear authority of his being.
Thirdly, I remember that I could tell he smiled/was happy with me after he said "Never, my son."
This might not be well received if you believe God doesn't speak to people anymore but it was my experience.
Those scriptures!! My God. Yes He quites us with His love. Beautiful!

God Corrects..but Not in Anger. God is Love..Eternal and Constant. We suffer from the consequences of our own sin or the sin of someone else.
It depends on if you're talking about believers or unbelievers. The scriptures say God is angry with unbelievers every day and the wrath of God is on them already just not in its consummation. I believe what Piper said is about right. He's angry at believers when we sin but in a very different way.
You haven't read the bible , obviously .
kathleen Wharton even Jesus got angry sometimes, because he felt sorrow for the things which sin has done
Psalm 7:11
God is a righteous judge,
And a God who has indignation every day.
"GOD CORRECTS AND NOT IN ANGER" . Really , you mean when he got his son gruesomely and brutally tortured and murdered , he wasn't angry ? And when he burns people forever , he's not angry ? Ya , he's full of love alright .
Indoctrination in action .
Thank you...I will praise God forever more for his love and mercy to me
Thank you so much, i have been struggling with this question my whole life!
I believe it depends on the sin & circumstances. Your father on Earth wouldn't hate you for doing something wrong, he still loves us, we need to keep repenting and trying.
Jesus said the 2 commandments that matter is to love one another & to love God with all your being.

God is angry at the wicked everyday
Yea, but are the "wicked" the world, or the redeemed? -The world, the unrepentant, the ungodly and the ones who love their sin.

People believe that the words and meaning of the Scriptures are surface, literal, but they have a more complex meaning in its context, and I’m glad!

@@slothop7541 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
If You think that You can still sin after Christ paid the price and took away your sin, then grace is given so that you may repent and behold the lamb of God.
He's probably more disappointed than angry.
God is grieved and anger when we sin. The old testament is full of examples of God being angry when his children sin.

This question is related to sin for those who have been Justified, I believe, not prior to.
It’s good to see you again Marty!

How to test if you are in the faith and are really saved?
2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
From this verse we know that we can certainly know if we are saved.
But how can you know if you are really saved? The scriptures clearly say:
James 2:10-11 KJV
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, he is GUILTY OF ALL.
Certainly. But do you not know that you are ONLY NOT under the law if you already died to it? Have you died to the law? How do you know? Please read these verses carefully. It clearly says that if you sin, you are still a servant of sin and sin leads to death. You are therfore still under the law if you still struggle with sin.
Romans 6:1-7,11,14-16,18,20-23 KJV
Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Romans 3:31 KJV
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW. (those who died to sin have fulfilled the law because he does not cause anyone to stumble by loving his neighbor, therefore, they will not be judged under the law because they do not transgress it.)
Jesus said likewise that whoever sins is a servant of sin. If he sets you free from it you are free indeed. That way you are able to fulfill the law.
John 8:34,36 KJV
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. [36] If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
James 3:2 KJV
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
You might say it's not talking about those who sin unintentionally but to those who wilfully sin.
How do you differentiate wilful versus unintentional sinning?
James 4:17 KJV
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
If you commit adultery and you know the commandment that thou shalt not commit adultery and whoever lusts after a woman in his heart already commits adultery, you sin wilfully. Therefore you are convinced of the law as transgressor, therefore you will be judged under the law in the day of judgment.
Romans 2:6 KJV
Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Who have ears to hear let him hear, Jesus said.
