Floch - If it's sure that we are going to die one day does it matter if we contribute to the society, live a respectful and meaningful life, Help others, does it matter ? if we are going to die anyway, why don't we indulge, and have fun, why worry about becoming better or achieving our goals
Erwin- you can indulge and waste your life and it won't matter, but it will matter if you live a meaningful life, contribute to the world, and fulfill your purpose you were born for, your life is not meaningless, you were born for a reason, true living is in fullfilling that, otherwise you are just a slave to your meaningless desires
Edit - There's no reason of you living, if you are not doing what you were supposed to.

Better to live a life as a 'slave to one' s desires', than to waste it following a madman in a suicide mission. Erwin's speech loses all its power and meaning when you realize that all he wants are corpses to use as cannon fodder to reach his own, selfish goals.

@@YS-RRY Imo the Japanese dubbing sounds much more emotional and impactful. Erwin's VA is great in both languages though. And so are many of the characters in Attack on Titan

I find this speech very relatable. When I felt hopeless and tempted to give up. I was reminded of my father who died during the pandemic. Seeing how he did not give up to make sure we survive. I have the obligation to make sure his sacrifices were not in vain. I'll keep doing my best father. Till I succeed.

Everyone turning on Eren felt so out of character for all of them. Instantly went from a show that I waited on each episode to drop to something I'd get around to.

but in the defense of turning on Eren, the rumbling is not exactly an easy thing to side on considering he basically intended to mop the floor with basically the entire world
even if he intended to keep his close ones safe, spectially sense he had changed so much in the span of time that had passed
I feel like maybe it shouldn't have happened as fast as it did with the turning on Eren but it's not exactly impossible to see, in fact turning on Eren is braver considering you knew winning was a lot more uncertain if you weren't on his side
like if it was me I'd just side with Eren so I wouldn't die trying to stop him even if I know or think he's in the wrong for what he's doing
