Absolutely wonderful fottage , myself and my 2 year old toddler really enjoyed it....loved the teddy at the front of one of the engines .some stunning landscapes too😊👍🐻
Mike that shot with the steam engine at sunset where the light catches the steam and turns it pink is absolutely breathtaking. While that is my favorite, every single other shot is a masterclass in stunning composition.
Nice. I love the whistle on Mt. Rainer Scenic RR 17 with the scenes which are: 9:229:469:5510:4111:0511:57 And at the ending i came a little bit sad... Because i love seeing those steam engines.
The # 17 has one of my favorite whistles. It used to be on the Mount Rainier Scenic #5 until that locomotive was taken out of service in the early 2000s.
I loved seeing the streamlined observation car behind the SP 4-8-4's passenger train! I've always thought they gave a touch of class and elegance to streamliners. (Of course, the MILW "Sky Dome" observations were the epitome, IMHO.)
Oh we really love the steam room locomotives the best. Your steam train videos are the best we have watched. Please keep them coming. Thank you for your time and for sharing.
21:48 For those train-lovers who never grew up, never got old, those who when they hear this look at themselves and look back, glad they look upon a train of steam, diesel, or electric and always smile; trains are now and forever ageless and timeless, they are generational, from children to children at heart. This is our song, our anthem, keep chugging Rail-fans.

Today I was standing on the banks of the Columbia River at The Dalles and I saw a passenger train on the Washington side of the river. I sent a picture of it to my husband and he identified it (from this video, might I add) as the Southern Pacific 4449. Keep up the great videos! Our twin three year olds can now sing “I’ve been working on the railroad” because that is how often we watch your videos.
Thank you, I will! The 4449 is making trips this week up the Columbia River between Vancouver and Wishram for the filming of an Imax movie. They should be out again tomorrow.
It was serendipity. I was out there for work, and had watched a bunch of cargo trains go by earlier in the day. I happened to be outside by the river when I heard a whistle and sent the picture to my husband to show the kids (not knowing what it was). He sends back a message saying he found the train and that it was on this video. I didn’t realize how infrequently this train runs, so I am happy that I was in the right place at the right time :)
Just watched it again for who knows how many times, kicked back and watched it all the way through while eating breakfast, thank you again for such a great video and for all your hard work 😎👍🚂
If you want my opinion, you should make a video with footage of UP 4014's restoration, if you haven't done that yet! It would make for an interesting video.
At 2:34 Was this locomotive having some problems with the firebox? Or is it just something normal it does because I have never seen a locomotive shoot flames out of the bottom of the firebox like that.
I've seen a few steam locomotives. Mainly on display, but a few operational. (World's of Fun 33, Union Pacific 844, Black Hills Central 110, and Union Pacific 4014 are all of the operating ones I've seen)
