Changes the way in cutting down the trees, saving parts of nature, and skating under hard, versitile wood that wouldnt break as easily as wood, and save some preserves.
i loooove bamboo.why are we not using this more?!?! i pondered along time ago it's multi uses and wondered how good it would be. specially for how fast it grows and everything tons of benefits
That is a good point to make. As we start to develop and increase our demand for bamboo we should bare in mind ecological health and diversity. We shouldn't aim to replace diverse forests with bamboo but perhaps we could use bamboo to restore damaged or exhausted landscapes by returning organic matter to the soil and re establishing cover to reduce erosion. I love this movement though its really exciting thinking of the possibilities
woow, this is sooooo interesting, kindly advice me with regards to the disadvantages about bamboo house like fire catching.... how resistant is it towards fire? and other disadvantages
Bamboo is awesome! However, it is not for a wise man to believe that diverse forestry should be replaced by a mono-crop to feed the demands of an economical growth in demand.
We are a local NGO in Egypt&we are looking to reforest desert land with bamboo, which variety can we use that we will irrigate with treated/raw sewage water?Thx
any variety really that would sustain high temp during the day but also cool temp at night. (some exotics are not freeze tolerant) depending on your goals (harvesting or not) a large one like the dendrocalamus asper or the oldhamii (more cold hardy) the sea breeze is another possible choice
We(JK ENERGY) have invented Fast Pyrolysis (continuous) System for conversion of any dry agro waste to active energy without the pollution of environment. We developed a pilot project(1 Ton) for Maharashtra Bamboo Development Board,Nagpur, Maharashtra. On the completion of the process of Dry Bamboo Waste. we get three Bio Products 1) Pyrolysis Oil - 50% 2) Activated Charcoal - 30% 3)Syn Gas.-20% •)(with the help of LIT-Laxminarayan Institute of Technology,Nagpur) On distillation of pyrolysis oil we get * Light Diesel Oil(LDO-30/35%) *Compressed Natural Gas(CNG-20%) *Fertilizer Liquid(45-50%) •)The Activated Charcoal obtained from the system is used in various industries such as Cosmetic industry, Pharmaceutical industry and Fertilizer industry. The Activated Charcoal can also be used for Purification of Water. •)Syn gas can be used for generation of Electricity and on compression of syn gas we get Compressed Natural Gas(CNG). This is a patented (publish) project and the size of the system varies from 1 tonne per day to 40 tonne per day
These are all opinions. Bamboo is grown here in the U.S. I even seen them around agriculture fields. And even amongst trees. Yes it is an hard to kill plant. But it damn sure beats the hell out of pine. Pine can take from any where from 20 to 25 years to grow. And that's if your grow survives the bugs. And also when pine lumber gets wet it's useless. But bamboo spends most of it life gathering water. So it gets a smacking 100% on my chart.
thank you for the perfect video to send to everyone who doesn't understand why i love bamboo
wonderful presentation. yes you are absolutely correct. Bamboo is the wise mans timber.
This is amazing. I'm proud to ride bamboo skateboards and snowboards. I believe this stuff is what can change the future of the world.

BambooSK8 is glad to have provided the skateboarders for this great informational video! Check out our amazing bamboo skateboards.
same but the child in me says that just because bamboo makes skateboards and snowboards doesn't make it cool (rad dude)lol
Great video, but background noise is annoying.
It kills all other trees around.
I'm worried about this too, but from what I understand, there are responsible ways to contain its maximum growing space
build a moat around it and even that won't work don't plant something one day when your to old to fight it and it will cost you big bucks in damage

Use cluster, or clumping types. NOT running types!!
It’s good, until your neighbor plants it in there yard and 3 years later now you have in overtaking your yard. Keep it to the professionals.
bamboo .. the other wood
