this feels like the perfect mix of the old rebirth style music with the new added style ridiculon is going for with the repentance soundtrack.

The liquid distortion effect that happens in Utero now is fucking disgusting, and I love it
It always bothered me that while alternate floors for other stages were distinct, Utero felt almost the same as the Womb. Guess this will help rectify that.
EDIT: It sounds oppresive and gross. I mean that as a compliment, believe it or not.
Both chapter 3 and 4 didn't have unique alts, Dank depths, Necropolis, Scarred Womb and Utero all felt the same as their original vers.
It does seem they are finally giving them a lot more attention to them, those Dank enemies that sag showed a while ago look sick! And this new track is pretty amazing.

Seriously, I’m so happy that this exists. It both has the hypnotic lull AND existential disgust so befitting of this area. Utero waited for a theme for years and it was WORTH it. Mad props to Ridiculon.
They should make a collector's edition that comes with a book that shows art and songs and other things that are in the new and original games like one big guide book. Eh i would pay like a extra 20 dollars so like 80 dollers for a collector's edition that came with the book

No established date yet but I'm expecting it this year.

I hope utero gets more visual updates because I swear I thought the womb and the utero were the exact same thing and the title change was like a random variant with nothing else different.
Utero had a bit of white bone on the walls while Womb was just a whole bunch of red on the walls.
As far as I know... Utero is getting an visual update. As I remember correctly the base idea for this floor was moving through some very thicc liquids and decay of uterus tissues. Maybe they got back to this in Repentance👀

I remember 4 months ago I thought the game was coming out on new years day. Just 4 days to go.
I was always excited getting the Scarred Womb because of its music, but now I can be excited for Utero as well.
For those of you who don't know, a caesarian is when a baby is surgically removed from a mothers womb due to complications during birth.
Utero? I thought it was gonna be another boss theme, but that's alright. I can't wait to hear it!

Tbh I absolutely despise Rebirth's soundtrack but Repentance songs have been absolutely spot on, I can't even put my finger on why (the guitar is used way more classy, I think!)
Jesus couldnt disagree more, Rebirth music (yes every single track) had that classy feel to it. Maybe its just dumb nostalgia but I reeeeally hate what they are adding to Rebirth with these new music tracks

I love it! It sounds like the perfect middle ground between Womb and Scarred Womb with a little bit of Flooded Caves thrown in.

@@alperen5962 Caesarian = C Section = surgical procedure to extract the newborn infant from the womb when natural delivery isn't possible or dangerous to the mother. And as any surgical procedure, it isn't a pleasant sight.

It is a Utero track! Many things that didn't have it's own soundtrack in Isaac will get one in Repentance, for example Super Secret room is getting it's own theme as well.

The reason they're making a track for the utero now may because corpse looks like utero, so corpse might have a remix of this!
Personally I think they're just tying up isaac's loose ends since this is presumably the last major update. Utero has been songless for years, it's only fitting for one to be added now
(Due to this fact, I predict that a mega satan theme might come in repentance... the team isn't completely opposed to it, I know that much)
