  • This is a video from a guy at an event asking why he has developed trigger anticipation. I give him my insight from decades of seeing the best archers go from flawless to lawless on their technique. Not everyone will develop this habit from a clicker but I speak from personal experience that it eventually catches up. The brain works on association for all of us. Just think of the types of things that trigger a fight or flight response from an audible sounds? Fire alarms, slapping hands, “boo” or even a jack in the box for buddy the elf. Audible responses will lead to a predetermined outcome eventually

Hahahahaha, I was watching this video like I remembered this conversation from somewhere. And then I look at the guy behind him, and it's me, hahahahaha

You have to stick with the Silverback and eventually it will click, no pun intended. You can shoot that well IF your form is solid, and people give up before they get over the hump and figure out the cause and effect of their form. Once you've got the form, the rest is between the ears. The struggle is real, that's why archery is both fun and challenging.

I really like the feel of my tension activated Silverback - makes shooting fun and gives me the best accuracy over greatest length of time AND it stops my target panic that happens to me if I shoot with my thumb and wrist release.

👍 I saw Randy’s video years ago on multiple settings on his releases. Awesome concept of making one work on their form.

Take a 10# weight and hold its out level like a bow... how long can you hold it? Sometimes people need to develop more strength and stamina to hold steady if you're pin float gets too wild or you're shaking like this guys describing. Experiment with more and less weight on the bow as well
