I'm team Z Fold 5. I prefer the larger screen for videos and gaming but prefer the slim outer screen for one-handed use like texting and scrolling. I have to admit that I miss the flagship cameras like those on the Ultra lineup. I'm hoping for a Z Fold 6 Ultra
I bought the S24 Ultra and took the full 2 weeks to compare it side by side with my ZFold5. I ended up sending the S24 Ultra back. My Fold was capturing better photos and you just can't beat the ability to multitask when it comes to the ZFold5. I wasn't a fan of the ZFold phones when they were released. I only traded in my S23 Ultra when it started having issues and Samsung offered me a great trade in deal when I contacted them about replacing it. I still didn't realize how much I had grown to like the increased functionality of the ZFold5 over regular phones until I had the S24 Ultra in my hands. I don't think I'll go back to using a regular phone now.

@@1DERLEI I had a preorder model of the S24 Ultra and in my comparisons my Zfold5 produced pictures that were so much better than the S24 Ultra in all conditions. Samsung has since updated the software for the S24 Ultra but from what I've read and seen online the camera quality is still not that great. The only thing you don't have on the Zfold5 is the extreme zoom capability that the S24 Ultra has. I don't take pictures where I used that so for me it made more sense to keep my Zfold5.
I have the s23 ultra and it's great but I love the fold 5 it's one of the most fun phones I tested but Samsung has work to do to catch Huawei mate x5, One Plus Open, qnd Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche edition
..... my s21 ultra takes better pics than the fold 5. Why lie bro?? Just say the images and zoom werent compelling enough for you. Dont spread misinformation
@jd2161 if you want the best Foldable camera go with Huawei mate x5 or vivo fold 3 pro and import them they are the best and if the fold 6 is lazy I will import those
I'm going to do an experiment tomorrow at Best Buy on they're Z Fold 5 by moving a video and a picture I shot on my S24 Ultra to the Fold to see how it looks on the Fold's bigger screen. I'm going to do this with quick share.
It is strange but in direct comparison photos from zfold5 look better!

I have a s22 ultra,rarely use camera but watch videos a lot.
Looking at getting the fold but durability and front screen size putting me off.
Waiting to see what fold 6 offers with rumours around larger front screen.

Great content. It can't be a far comparison. People like you love the fold they'll choose the fold. For people who a slab phone will always pick the slab phone
I have the zfold 5 & I definitely get a whole day but that depends on if your using it folded or not. It literally comes down to personal preference though
Tell you what! I LOVE my Gray Z Fold5 & my Graphite S23 Ultra! I HAVEN'T HAD A SINGLE PROBLEM WITH EITHER! Except the fact that my Z Fold5's screen protector had a ROCK underneath it! I replaced it a while ago!
I upgraded this year from Fold5 to a S24 ultra. I just wasn't using the bigger screen that often so decided to go for the newer phone. I hope to go back to foldable soon but when I feel I have the time to use the bigger screen more often.
Had the fold for two years. Enjoyed it besides battery. I'm currently watching this on an s24 ultra. Because it functions. My fold lost all audio while open, and eventually, all audio while closed. Paper weight vs function.
I have the Fold5 and have been using Folds since the Fold2. Have to say that i'm tempted to swap in for the S24U purely for practicality. Most of the time, you end up changing the aspect ratio of apps that just aren't optimised for full-screen to 16:9 and it ends up being not too different than just using the normal slab phone.
Great video and it's brilliant to have a non-bias opinion. Very relatable. I've got the Z fold 3, it's been reconditioned by Samsung 4 times so it's almost a new phone still, however there are a few issues. Firstly battery range anxiety is not good. I've been in A&E recently and was left stranded with no battery which was a disaster. Secondly with the repairs the cameras are not what they should be. I believe dust has been allowed in behind and pics are suffering.
My question is should I get the S24 Ultra now really cheaply on Amazon £800 or wait for the Z fold 6?

I have both and go back and forth depending on what i need the device for. Apples and oranges really two very different devices. That said if the fold had the s24 ultra cameras (and maybe the built in spen) i wouldn't need an S ultra device.
I was wating for this video l have the z fold 5. , thanks. Dude. I dont think l.going switch. For z fold 6 i hear is going to be the same exept for the only thinny. Wider screan ,😢 wich is suks.
I never understood why my z fold 5 developed lag. Same exact setup as my 23 Ultra, but it lagged where the 23 Ultra never lagged ( aside from the first minute after reboot). I loved the z fold 5, but it became apparent that it wasn't practical for my day to day, started being a stay-at-home device. So I'm back on the 24 Ultra and loving it, I'll probably get the fold 6 but i won't get rid of the ultra.
I wish Samsung would do the fingerprint scanner on the power button on the Ultra's.
Have you tried comparing the camera of Fold5 and S24u? I recently switched to S24u, and i am hating the camera. How i wish i sticked to my Fold5.
I had the fold 5, traded it for the S24U and now i want to get the fold back again. The pictures are better on the ultra but not loads better. The fold is just easier to carry around and that side fingerprint scanner is lightning.
I really want the flip, but I'm worried about durability and longevity. If I'm paying over 1500$ for a phone, I want it to last for atleast 5-6 yrs

M here for the honest review no other phone can beat the fold 5 in browsing and mutitasking u can see landscape video in large screen which is too cool and look tiny in candybar phones u can use chrome as a desktop m lovin it and taskbar is also a game changer no other phone is supporting the same camera is definitely best on fold 5 but if u compare the zoom with ultra .. ultra is winner in zoom and for regular use 😊
If I had the money I"d have the Fold 5 as a 2nd phone. I can't afford to have another line though. I have my Watch 5 on the other line.
I just don't know if I can get use to the aspect ration of the outer screen of the Fold 5

When we spend such huge money , only a fold factor cannot decide. Trust me s24 ultra is a beast in all aspects.
Don't think its a proper comparison because one is a foldable running 6.0 & other a regular phone on 6.1. Best comparison would be s23 ultra vs s24 ultra both running 6.1

Spec wise yes, but it sucks trying to use one handed compared to the Z Fold and when you have two hands and want to multi-task the Z Fold is again better. I use flex mode all the time when I'm trying catch a quick video while doing something else.
Under display is shhit I prefer side Button FPC my big tumb always cant read 5 Times before log in. Side FPC on my fold always works
Me too! The Fingerprint Sensors ALL SUCK! On ALL Samsung Devices from my Galaxy Book2 Pro360 to my S23 Ultra THEY NEVER WORK, The Exception is my Z FOLD5 & Z FLIP5! THEY WORK ALMOST EVERY TIME!!

All these people saying the fold 5 has better pic and videos. My z fold 5 camera absolutely SUCKS! I don't know why. I miss my 22 ultra....
Well regarding a bigger picture and video it does but the camera quality is superior on the S24 Ultra. I've heard the Fold 6 may have a much better camera compareable to the S24 Ultra. Samsung needs to give the Folds the same camera the candy bar phones have especially since they cost more.
@Catloverplayer that has been my thoughts from the start. If we are paying $1500+ for a phone, it would have flagship camera as well.
Fold 5 wins. If you want the best slab style phone get the 15 PM
S24 ultra offcourse. Z fold 5 camera's not good enough, also video recording, for me, njah, was not good enough and to expensive.
My s9 plus does just as good as both of these phones.
