Pakis Baru 5 Mud Train, Central Java, Indonesia

The only steam hauled trains which left the (sugar) mill area at Pakis Baru were the mud trains which were usually hauled by the smallest locomotives OK 0-4-2T 1 and 2. However, on 23rd August 1994, the mill management agreed to release OK 0-4-4-0T Mallet 5 for the duty.
The regular driver was initially slighted but he very soon realised that this was 'fun' and our small group had total cooperation.
