A friend of mine recently bought this guitar, I had the chance of checking it out yesterday night. I am a real bad guitar player, but a keyboarder for decades, so I know a bit about music.
I was really impressed by the sound of this cheap instrument and the great overall looks no video can render correctly. I did not like the looks of the EQ part, cheap and plasticky, with an old-fashioned 9 V battery as the power source, I found the sound a little bit harsh, especially via pickup - but it's brand-new strings and probably not the best ones.
Nit-picking aside, overall and given the real low price, this is a real great instrument. In fact it looked and sounded much better than I expected.

i also use the same guitar (harley benton D120TB) I was amazed by the sound of the guitar, in this price (only 75 euros) it seems impossible, but the truth is not so.i really bought the guitar incredibly beautiful and I was very pleased..

Hi, this guitar is so nice i think i want this too. I have a half hour before a multieffekt pedal become the Digitech 55 rp from Thomann for at home really good a lot effekts and a drummaschine and you can 8 effekts a time play all this for 36 Euro. LG Detlev

It certainly looks great, but the sound is lacking - it can be improved. You can't complain of the cost though, great value for someone just starting out or on a tight budget. I assume you did not change the strings? The cheaper HB's normally have their standard ones, a decent set would improve the sound, plus change the nut and bridge to bone and a decent set of tuners. That would cost about £40.00 roughly if you shop wisely, do the mods yourself and do research on what is good value avoiding the well know brands. If the guitar feels good it's worth the upgrades. It's OK to learn on if it's easy to play. You have really got to compare with a few to judge it better. Your playing though was exceptional, love seeing the motion of your right hand, intricate skills and use of dynamics. Well done Jonathan making this video for us.

well i was not that far off with my guess :D o and the euro price is 89 euro not 79. it is only mainated wood ;) i dont go below 200 euro on acustic anymore, had too much disapointment with harley benton and acustic. i am waiting for my new Harley Benton Custom Line CLA-28VE WN . its like a baby martin clapton but only 299 ;)

J'ai aussi acheté cette guitare électro acoustique Harley Benton mais pour moi qui suis guitariste gaucher voilà j'ai acheté ce modèle qui existe seulement en noir pour les gauchers j'ai juste limé les frettes dessus car elle était vraiment coupantes j'ai aussi travailler sur le chevalet j'ai enlevé 1 mm d'épaisseur dessus maintenant ma Harley Benton sonne vraiment très bien niveau qualité sonore bonne réception Daniel de France

I'm heavily split between getting this, or the HB Delta Blues MJCE. I thought I had finally decided on getting this model, but when you said about having issues with tuning & requiring help from someone else, that's kind of threw me off a bit again. I'm basically still a beginner, so if any adjustment work was needing done I fear I may mess things up if I attempt to do it myself, but I don't know any guitar players that could assist me either.
I have the HB Delta blues and it also has a few issues, tuning stability is quite good but the fretwork and fretboard isn't great but for the price its still a very good guitar. I also have an epiphone Dreadnought, the quality is much higher but the HB is still my most used acoustic.
@@bigpurm Cheers for the info bud, still a really hard choice. The aesthetics of both appeal to me for different reasons. And I really like the sound from this model when he has it plugged in. I'll be ordering 1 of them some point next week, think it might end up coming down to the toss of a coin.

Salut à toi je voulais juste savoir quelle type de cordes me conseille tu pour cette magnifique guitare électro acoustique Harley Benton j'ai acheté un nouveau jeu de cordes de la marque Martin's phosphore bronze en 10-47 que pense tu de cette qualité de cordes en tout cas elle sonne vraiment très bien ces nouvelles cordes dessus avec le petit équaliseur dessus avec présence bass medium et aigus que pense tu de cette guitare électro acoustique Harley Benton je voulais aussi l'acheter en bleu mais elle existe seulement en noir pour les gauchers c'est bien dommage pour les gauchers lol bonne continuation et très bonne vidéo comme toujours Jon

I'm considering buying this guitar.. is it worth it? What are the pros amd cons? You might have said in the video but I my hearing isn't that great so I didn't understand everything.
It’s an ok guitar for a beginner.. given its price, you can’t really expect too much. But it is a functioning guitar that looks great✌️❤️
Good review of less than stellar guitar. But, that's Harley Benton, isn't it. A surprise package in every unboxing. The next guitar off the line was perfect.

How's the action? Is it hard to play? My current acoustic looks very similar, but you have to be a bodybuilder to play it.
Like I said in the video, the setup was not really good. The action is ok.. But if the nut is badly slotted, You've gonna have to find a way to sort it out first.
@@JonIsJustTooLoud I heard the plastic nuts on these are horrible, but they can be easily replaced I suppose. I've changed out a nut on an electric LP copy and that was quite painless and made a world of difference. Shouldn't be to hard on one of these other than making sure you have the correct size I guess. But this is beautiful.. And for under a hundred USD w/ the bundle.. Who's complaining?
I would like a no effect, all clean, review instead. Because post eq and reverb can make any guitar sound good. Thank you anyway for your work.

C'est vraiment dommage que cette guitare électro acoustique Harley Benton type DC 120CE SOI seulement disponibles en bleu ou en couleur naturelle vernis et aussi en sunburst moi je n'avais pas de choix pour la couleur de la guitare pour gaucher elle existe seulement en noir je suis Un peu déçu pour ça pourquoi de nos jours les guitariste gauchers sont toujours mis de côté alors que ça ne devrait plus exister tout ça droitier ou gaucher peut importe c'est juste la façon de jouer avec alors pourquoi elle existe seulement en noir pour les gauchers Bon je ne suis pas trop déçu c'est comme ça et je ne peux rien faire contre Harley Benton je voudrais aussi acheté une guitare électrique pour gaucher Harley Benton type R-446 la seule couleur qui existe pour cette guitare électrique gaucher et la couleur graphite mettalic j'aurais bien aimé la recevoir en rouge Ferrari ou rouge pétant comme en dit en France ça ne fait rien je vais commander cette guitare électrique pour gaucher la semaine prochaine elle sera livrée avec Un autre jeu de cordes de la marque piramyd fabrication artisanale entièrement fabriqué à la main en Allemagne j'ai vue Un luthier Allemand qui a dit que ce sont les meilleurs cordes de nos jours car elle sont fabriquées à la main en Allemagne le prix du jeu de cordes piramyd en 10-46 3,88€ enfin quelques choses comme ça avec la guitare je vais payer un peu plus de 168€ ce n'est pas chère pour moi en Europe les frais de port sont gratuits juste pour les européens mais pas pour les autres pays étranger mais honnêtement Thomann guitare ils sont vraiment très bien niveau qualité de prestation et services après vente ça devrait durer 3 jours seulement pour recevoir la guitare électrique chez moi j'ai posé la question concernant cette guitare j'ai vue beaucoup de gens qui ont reçu un câble jack livré avec la guitare électrique Harley Benton type R-446 LH couleur graphite mettalic pour les gauchers bonne réception a toi Jon tu joues vraiment très bien je trouve juste une petite question je voudrais savoir où tu vie exactement au état unis ou Un autre pays ? tu n'es pas obligé de me le dire sincèrement lol
