- Thanks for watching!
I tried this guitar in store TODAY, fell in love with it and brought it home. Couldn't be happier.
Special thanks to the guys at KeyMusic who gave me a free gig bag. If you're in Brussels, that's the place to go.
I'm playing on a Huges&Kettner Tubemeister 18 (attenuated to 5W) through a Harley Benton G212 Vintage cabinet.
I'm not endorsed by any of these brands.

I had my heart set on a Fender '52 reissue. Then I walked into 48th Street Guitars in Manhattan (now, sadly, gone) and saw the custom-ordered ASAT Classic: Antique maple neck, maple binding and hand-painted dark red metalflake swirl. I no longer wanted the '52 reissue. I bought the ASAT on the spot.
Good review , Yours is the only review where I can hear the voice of the guitar , not full of distortion .. thanks
Just wonderful! Your style is fantastic, and by that I mean your playing AND your way of presentation. Subscribed! Looking forward to more reviews. Hope your channel will grow!
Awesome review bud! I recently purchased an ASAT Classic Fullerton Deluxe and I instantly fell in love with it, my poor Tele hasn't seen any daylight since then.
This was the most enjoyable and to the point guitar review that I've seen. Thank you.
I was about to write almost exactly the same.
x2
I wish all guitar reviews wer like this, no blablabla, just straight to the point.
Love the tones & stunning finish on the guitar.
Nice playing you bring out the nuances of the guitart through your playing
From Leo: Never "ditch" any guitar, just buy an extra. I have the G&L bluesboy semihollow, and it is excellent, but so is my Fender Telecaster, just in a different way. I keep them both. BTW, that humbucker us a 4 wire variety, very easy to add a switch to coil split, giving more sounds cheap and easy.
What coil split pot did you buy? Also, do you remember which wire is which for G&L humbucker?
First time I’ve seen any of your videos, love your style man! I just subscribed!
Great review and fine playing ! I recently tried a few Teles at this price range -Squier CV , Fender Player and the best for me was the G and L Tribute. It didn’t have the humbucker but it sounded great -big frets and nice feel from the neck . Have almost decided to go for one but your demo makes me want to check out the Bluesboy although stores here in Scotland don’t have a big G and L stock . Cheers 🍻
Nino complimenti x il chitarrone, ed ottimo playing. Asat una garanzia
One of the better reviews of this guitar - sank you!
This is the best review so far!!! Great guitar and guitarist!! Saludos from Chile
Thanks, appreciated!
Aguante chile 🇨🇱
What a wonderful demo, and amazing guitar...my best regards from Chile!!
Thanks Pablo, appreciated.
Perfect review man. Thanks!
Really. The Best Review of the G&L BluesBoy in YT. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Appreciate the love.
Hughes and Kettner Amp.... Nice bruv !!
Great playing, funny and useful information on the guitar. Straight and to the point. It looks like a winner! Thanks for making me laugh today. Cheers and good luck on your channel
Glad you liked it, Tim!
That opening was MONEY!!!!
Guitar sounds Great !
I HAVE G and L Asat classic and G and L Legacy. Amazing guitars!
Great review. No fluff. Just the right amount of information for everyone’s benefit!
The metal part sounded way better than I thought it would. For a single coil pickup, that was quite awesome!
its not single coil tho, its a hum on the neck
@@rishabhghosh155 nope. The metal part is not played on the neck pickup. If you notice the pickup selector, it’s closer to the bridge which is a single coil pickup.
Have the same guitar. Love it.
If you can see my avatar, you’ll notice I’ve got one too, but Fullerton Made....BelAir Green...smoothest playing guitar I”ve ever had....very resonant!
Beautiful guitar. Good review.
Thanks Billy, I appreciate!
Great player 🙌
Please don't let this be your last episode, it's too good
Okay, I'm convinced.
Needed this thank you!
Dude that's a great demo! Do more!
Thank you man! I'm ready, I just need companies to ship free guitars... 😅
@@ninoaveni8234 Did you try asking them? There are some companies that have a lot of guitars I'm sure they won't mind giving some
Nice review Nino!
Thanks Timothy!
Great review!!!
My guitars are like my firearms.
Just because a sweet young thing comes along. I'm not ditching my old ones. I'm adding more to the family.🤠
Amen brother!
Don't worry too much with your gear, just make the most of it
You make it sound great.
Good review mate, straight to the points that we want to hear.
A good mix of playing styles and sounds. One tiny criticism: Would like to have heard how it FELT to play and what sort of neck profile it has, but I repeat - a good review.
Alan Payne (Session Guitarist).
Hi Alan, good point.
Okay, I'm convinced and your assortment of yeses just kill me.
Great review !
Very nice!
Nice!!! I want one. I wish it didn't have maple fretboard. Unfortunately it's to rich for me!!!
I went out shopping for an American G&L Bluesboy and came across this exact guitar. It's superb and I actually think the Tribute is better than the American model, at a quarter of the cost as well. Thanks for the vid.
Inferior electronics, plastic nut, and a neck that isn't plekked. How is the tribute better than the Fullerton model in any way?
@@dingusfuzzklonnkt2755 American made PU's, Easily replacement switches and easy to get it plekked for half the cost of the American Model!
@@dingusfuzzklonnkt2755 if he played both... knows that he likes....And it played better.... Then for him it's just better. Period. End of story. You can argue specs all day, but that doesn't make it subjectively better.
@@dingusfuzzklonnkt2755 he's also not the first person I've heard who out shopping and ended up ordering this model.... Thinking he wasn't going to touch an import. There's a really good UA-camr/reviewer who played a bunch of them and found a guitar (in this model) that he just fell in love with and brought home.
Hi there 😀
Sorry friends
What means the neck isn't plekked ?
The G&L sounds great and I want one but I would't get rid of my Tele cause they do sound different.
the intro was GREAT😂
eheh, thanks man.
Great review
Fun but very specific review - Leo would approve...
You made me laugh and provided a good review. Subscribed!
Thanks, appreciated :)
The perfect way to describe a guitar 👍
Aloha Braddah, Why would I ditch my Tele? the guitar from the Genesis company of the Man….Leo Fender, his lineage of his invention, innovation and creation? It just shows how it evolved to be even better if not equal for a different purpose!? After all, they are both his designs.
i love this neck humbucker !!! a bit muddy hummm !
It's the best part!
G&L's are the best Strat and Tele guitars for the price imho. Their other models are SAWEET as well. They have fixed some of the issues with these style guitars that fender is in love with continuing to produce as part of the guitar. Weve moved forward in time and advancement and Id rather play a guitar without the setbacks. I dont want to own a hard to play 50s relic strat etc. Has the same ol problems.
And the G&L Tribute Legacy and Comanche Series blow any Fender Strat away imo.
I’m sold!
Fabulous
Yup🤟
😳 This G&L ASAT sounds *way* better than a Telecaster Thinline.
Brilliant. Funny, insightful, and tasteful playing. Now, shaddup and play muther..
haha!
Cool
lol this really made my day :D
Great guitars indeed but I think I will just add it to the stable and not get rid of the Fender Tele. Too many good guitars out there!!!
Did I like the video....yeeesss!
They'll get my Tele when they pry it from my cold, dead, greasy hands
How much does it weigh...? My ASAT Classic Tribute weighs 9 lbs. Thinking of trading it in for one of these. How does it compare...?
Hi Bill, I have no clue - I have since then sold the guitar.
@@ninoaveni8234 fell outta love with it? I always really enjoyed G&Ls. Tributes and USA built are super solid at a good price point.
Enjoyed the demo. Good stuff
Mazel tov❤
Grazie Graziella Graziano Graziani...
I m pretty sure ONE of these means thank you...❤
Just kidding... Nice job! 🍀
💚👌🤙
Spank-a-licious!
I'd give you a thumbs up, but you are on 666 now. Seems enchanted
neck: yes.
Would you happen to know the neck shape?
Hi there, no I have no clue. Im'sure it's listed in the official specs though.
Grande... la voglio comprare. Tu sei soddisfatto?
Molto! Ma ho troppe chitarre quindi sto vendendo la mia, se ti interessa fammi sapere! :)

lol yaaaa!
Could you tell me the actual weight?
I would like to, but I don''t have the guitar with me anymore. It was a pretty hefty one, if I had to make a guess I'd say around 4kg.
@@ninoaveni8234 Thanks for the swift reply!
Somehow I find that in most G&l video review, the pronounce in the articulation of the notes of these pick ups are so low. In other words, they sounds stiff. The craftsmanship however is beautiful.
Neck? Yes 😂😂😂
Nice playing, but you're using some serious amp candy for that sound
True that, however the guitar has its own character and it shines through whatever (tube ;) ) amp.
Amp candy is always needed
That ain't jaZz.
I'm pretty sure it isn't. :)
There is Fender and everybody else that wants to be Fender. Accept no substitutes.
Hahaha
G & L are more Fender than Fender
@@superelectic45 I have had both but for me Leo's first design is the best hands down. Of course I'm talking Fender American made.
Lame
Indeed!
Awesome review!!!
Thanks!
