I have a gbooster I bought from someone and when I opened it up the wiring is terrible I'm new to scooters and wiring so havnt a clue what I'm looking at yet to sort it cant find english tutorials anywere, when I had it opened I pressed the front light on and it smoked abit in the wiring do you know what this could be?
Hey sweety you seem to be pretty familiar with the wiring in the scooters and I have a Yume Y10 and I fucked up the rim and broke it , requiring me to have to replace the entire motor after having to drill out a stripped bolt and then still attempting to secure the busted outer rim with bolts caused the threads on the back side holes to strip and no longer hold the screws 🙄🫣It's been a headache trying to figure out a way to avoid having to replace the entire rear wheel motor hub but I finally went and found a replacement motor the same size and I'm switching these motors out. I have 2 questions maybe you could help me with. 1st is that I notice when opening everything up and getting a look at the motors wires that I'm replacing that the manufacturer didn't have the wires matched to their color exactly and I'm not sure if they did this in order to trick us in the case that like myself I went somewhere other then them to purchase new motor for cheaper or what but the yellow is connected to the yellow main wire but the blue wire is connected to the green and the green to the blue. I checked the controller for the front motor and same thing??🤔Do you think I should connect this new 1 reversed like they have it or do u think that's what they r hoping I do so that it doesn't work? lol My 2nd question is that in this new motor there is a bundle of 5 thinner wires that have pins on the end already and they even gave my a white plug in order to install the pins with and after some research it looks as though these may be what they call the "overhaul wires" ...but my scooter doesn't have these wires coming from the front or the rear motor and instead are both only connected by the 3 thicker main yellow, green & blue cables. So should I just leave these smaller pinned wires alone and not attach them anywhere or do they need to be connected somewhere ?? Sorry for all the questions. I mean as for the extra wiring I will find out soon enough here if it's gonna work without those wires being connected but yeah lol . Just come over and I'll make u dinner while u help me with my scooter 😂.
Do the same wiring as the front wire , it should be Yellow to Yellow , Green to Blue , Blue to Green to make the hub motor go forwards , the old y10 models don't come with hall sensors so you can cut the connector off and extra wiring. And just connect the motor phase wires ; green blue yellow to the controller nothing else. My Y10 is from the first year the company launched so i'm still using split rims and no sensor hub motors as it came like that
Also when testing out controllers , What i would do is swap the controller B to the working controller A to the front motor if the motor doesn't engage that mean mostly like it needs to be replaced usually controller B goes down that's wa way to test a bad controller
@@RickyEats awesome Ricky, thank you!! You answered my questions. I have the earlier version of the Y10 also so that's what had thrown me off. I'm not in need of testing any controller though because I just needed to replace the rear motor. Not even because the motor was having issues either because the original was working perfectly fine. Its just that the housing around it was damaged with the threads being stripped unable to get the bolts to lock in at all so I had no choice other then to replace the entire motor hub while they don't sell just the housing of the motor by itself..😔. If you ever get the time, a video of the wiring explained and shown more detailed for both controllers would be very helpful and appreciated. I just want to make sure I have my wires connected correctly and I think I may have messed them up back when I shorted em out because it doesn't look like my wiring for the lights are in the same controller as the front motor like you explained in your video so now I'm all confused with these wires. Like the voltage wiring from where I put the key in to turn on. I dont think I have it plugged into the right cables and I'm frustrated now trying to figure out the electrical on this thing!! 😫
I've tried to follow your video but try as I may I keep getting two errors on the display; the first is (!) which means the brakes are giving input and a spinning screw icon. Before I changed the controller these icons never appeared.

Ok so , when you are connecting that first white & black cable you said cuz you're doing it in order , 1 of those controllers has 2 of those white and black cables and it looks like your other 1 is already connected to where it needs to be but I need to know where both get connected because I dunno if you're starting from nothing at all connected on both controllers or if u already have half of it done and your camera doesn't focus well enough to be able to see all the colors of cables when your grabbing cables in the back saying this 1, that doesn't help me at all. If you had a good in-focus closeup shot of connections made after you connected each 1 that would have been more helpful. I'm trying to get my Y10 rewired the proper way because I'm not getting any voltage so I think I may have something connected wrong
the wires you see already connected are gray / black that connector has a splitter which connects from controller A to the eco/turbo mode button to controller B , you want to connect the longer section of that wire to the turbo button and the splitter to the controller B. Look closely i mention it on the video
@@RickyEats thank you but that's not which wires I was talking about. The ones I am confused about are definitely not get , they are blck/white also. The black & grays I have as well but there are 2 black & white on 1 of my controllers. No way is it gray, it is black & white. Both sets.
@@RickyEats this may still help me figure it all out because it just so happens that after I thought I had the essentials all connected I found that the eco/turbo connections still weren't connected anywhere but I think maybe our scooters have different wiring because as I mentioned in my other reply, I have 2 sets of black/white cables coming out of 1 of my controllers and only 1 set of black/white coming out of the other controller. Plus, my eco/turbo splits into 2 different connectors at the end requiring 2 different places to connect to obviously. Both are 2-pin connections.
@@RickyEats ya know what, I'm watching again over and over and now that I've watched several times I can see that 1 (only 1) of your controllers has 2 sets of blck/white cables as well just like mine. It may be on the other controller but I can see it and it's not connected to anything but how do we know which set to connect it to when connecting controller to controller? Lol, u say it's common sense to color match up the wires but there's actually several connections that aren't connected to the same color so that's not accurate. Anyway I'm pretty sure I also just saw the eco/turbo cables in that handful of of cables you left out that you said was pretty much all my lights and I need to connect my eco turbo so hoping you have 1 on those connections now because literally nobody has posted how to connect the wires on any of the wiring and you're the only one. I can't even get the manufacturer to send me a wiring diagram. It's ridiculous.
