  • Note: A bit of wind in the mic for the first few minutes of this one but worth a watch.
Gary Brown and his son-in-law Andrew are on the water fishing Port Hacking and landing some quality bream and trevally, before cutting to Gary (6 min) talking about the combos, rigs and baits, including bait rigging demos. Fish on!

Hi mate, thanks for the video. are the bream everywhere in the hacking or are there some specific spots? when is the best time to fish--eg. run out tide, etc?

Hi There are no specific spots in the Port Hacking for bream. The best way to find them in the deeper bays is as the tide drops the bream will start to pull away from the edges where there are pylons, pontoons, rocky edges and weed beds. They will move to areas that have boats and other craft that are on swing moorings. Sometimes they will be feeding under these boats and at other times they will be down on the bottom in the shadow of these boats or where the mooring rope is attached to the bottom. Where there are shallow weed beds and flats once again they will be on top during the higher parts of the tide and move off as the tide falls. As for run-in or run-out is doesn't matter as long as its moving. Hope this helps

No more wind in the next ones as I now have brought a RODELink wireless Audio speaker that cuts out 98% of the wind.
