- Fran sees a fortune teller, who predicts that Maxwell will leave her for a leggy blonde!
From Season 6 Episode 22, 'The Baby Shower'. When Val and Fran have their fortunes told at the beauty parlor, the psychic tells Fran that she sees Maxwell having an affair with a leggy blonde in a Beverly Hills hotel! Meanwhile, Brighton wants to take a year off before going to Harvard and is finding it difficult to tell Maxwell.

Sylvia actually has an affair in this season, or almost does. It's not with Max, of course. But season 5 and 6 were a little - soap-opera-ish.
The way they met was soap opera, soap opera plots can be done well like here
Its her over acting that really makes this line hilarious. I also hope yt will exist forever

I love that Fred says Fran's first and last name every time he addresses her. It was Fran Fine before when she went to pick up the shampoo, and now he's calling her Fran Sheffield XD
Let’s be real, mother-daughter relationships in sitcoms are the best! Fran and Sylvia, Dorothy and Sophia (Golden Girls), etc. No better pairing makes better comedy! 🙌💕

Why Exactly did they even think people wouldnt watch this any more after frans wedding? Dont lie to me and speak after me: The nanny had the best: Characters, fashion and dialogues. Who is madame musel? Or like that?
Because the show centered around sexual tension and the cat and mouse game. The will they won't they.
That was the essence of the show. It would have had to fundamentally change. I think they wanted to end it while it was still popular rather than be canceled for low ratings.

@@velveteenrabbit5804 I think in some ways the "will they won't they" itself was a problem...it changed Fran's character away from the person who was "what the doctor prescribed" in the first place. And I don't think Fran and Max are a good match, actually. They never seemed to stop yelling at each other, well, clashing, anyway, and him yelling at her. Their newlywed days are not real...honeymoon-like...unlike Niles' and CC's early relationship.

@@crazy4orlando2 The cat-and-mouse game didn't work well alongside the idea that Fran was "what the doctor prescribed" for the kids. She frequently left, or threatened to, or dated other guys, or chased Max to some foreign location, leaving the kids. All of that made sense as a response to Max, but it didn't go with her being nurturing, being warm with the kids, being there for them...she got so obsessed with Max she kind of neglected her real job. And, while the kids had had nannies leave before, if they were attached to Fran and she was like a mom to them, you would think the back-and-forth between Fran and their dad, and Fran's coming and going, would...make the kids' issues worse, not help them heal. At the same time, I think the cat-and-mouse game suited Fran and Max themselves better than a real relationship. It is telling that just about every episode in between Max's proposal and the wedding (including the wedding episode) has Fran almost backing out!
I remember the ending; a little mix-up with the rooms that ended with Niles and Max in bed (nothing happened) Fran came in and she and Niles say:
"It's you!"
"It's me!"
Niles: Your psychic thinks im leggy!😆
And niles thought it was cc in bed, and said _well, someone needs to shave their legs_

And I love the scene where CC tells Fran that she (CC) is NOT interested anymore in stealing Max, because she is "multiply satisfied" with Niles. (By the time this episode starts, everyone knows Niles and CC are...a thing.) And CC's almost getting the last laugh on Fran, you could say.

Velveteen Rabbit 5 it was Niles. They thought it was CC because she and Maxwell went to LA together. Niles went to CC’s room and Fran went to Maxwell’s but they switched rooms so Niles unknowingly ended up in the same bed with Maxwell. If you pay close attention the psychic never said the “leggy blue eyed blonde” was a woman and never said they were having sex. She didn’t say they were kissing either, Fran misunderstood.
