I've played music professionally for 40 years...... I typically will look down my nose at covers, but every so often someone comes along and remakes a song that actually surpasses the original. Whenever I hear this song for the rest of my time....it will be this version that I will think about.

So beautiful. I was listening and thought, "this is pretty good" at first. Then I got to the part where the two singers start to harmonize their vocals and I was like, "holy shit". And then the piano and strings come in at the same time. Thats when this version started to evoke more emotion than the original Sting/Police version. I only found this video because I wanted to record an acoustic cover of this song with my band and wanted to see how many others might've done it already. Apparently we were definitely beaten to the punch on this one. This is the best version of this song ive ever heard.

After I heard this American Idol, you have NO idea how many times I replayed the dance to hear this song (and of course, watch the dancing). Then today, I started searching like MAD for this cover and I am so happy to have found it because your voice, Aaron, is that of a muse. And Liza, you've got a voice that makes us all feel some kind of way (and not to mention the musicians.) Please keep going, you guys. You're all so wonderful. ^_^

Very original version, when someone does a cover, I think its always a welcome to add your own touch so that you add something to the original. Any touch will add to the interpretation and is a welcome to the version. This one is great !
