In Skyward sword, it's said that Demise rose up from the underworld with his demon army. The way they word it makes it seem like the underworld is literally under the surface world itself. Gloom's Lair, especially the literal void underneath it really makes it seem like that might be the entrance to the true underworld (which is why the revived demon king goes there to rejuvenate his power, since it's close to the birthplace of Demise, the original demon king).
It would have been awesome if they would have explained Demise's origin as just Ganondorf rising from the underworld. I would have loved this. Instead they really tried so hard to welcome new players and pretty much ignored everything that happened in the entire Zelda series, even botw.
@@epalegmail Ganondorf is not meant to be the same Demise as in Skyward Sword, despite being called the Demon King. The events of Tears of the Kingdom, despite taking place "10,000 years in the past", happen long after almost every other game in the series aside from Breath of the Wild.
Talk about anxiety....and what a theme going deeper and deeper...I mean, how can it get any better than jumping under the castle and just going and going and fighting and going until you reach the spot and a huge monster army is waiting only to be met by Link and Champion Ancestry? .......this game is just the best thing I've ever seen and thats my damn opinion lol
The whole sequence where you dive in the Hyrule Castle chasm, until the game ends, was absolute cinema. Amazing sound engineering, great atmosphere, one of the best things I've experienced.
The music going down here made me doubt I was ready even when I had full stamina and 23 hearts. Yeah, I died to Ganondorf 5 times since I forgot about Sundelion's existence.
Seeing the name "Imprisoning chamber" at 0:21 really surprised me. In English, it's a reference to The Imprisoned in Skyward Sword. In French, it's named "Site du Sceau", which is the french name for... Sealing Grounds from Skyward Sword. And I hate it, because there's no actual evidence liking TOTK and SS in the timeline. So it's "just" a reference.
Not entirely a tree, but Gloom's Origin is a reverse circulatory system of the human body. When viewed from above, the arena where you fight the Demon King's Army is shaped like a human heart, and the vines are the arteries that circulate gloom into the central chamber where Ganondorf resides.
This music perfectly captures the feeling of "You should not be here"

Huh...that makes sense!
Holy shit, the music already made this place feel demonic and this idea makes it ten times scarier.

@@Ted_CurtisGanondorf in TOTK could have easily just been Demise or his literal reincarnation.
My heart was speeding up as I went deeper into this abyss
Mine too, yesterday i arrived there and felt a little scared

The first time i heard the sound effect at 1:41 really gave me goosebumps

SAME HAHDIAIDS IT'S KILLING MEEEE
It's called "Ganondorf castle"

Best buildup to a Ganondorf fight ever🤣🤣🤣it even beats the one in Twilight Princess.
Man, the zonai shield you get down here is gorgeous.
It was like walking to the depths of hell.
The music is awesome in this area and beyond
Ahh the save horder. Just like me😂. The music buildup is giving me goosebumps deluxe.

Set a fast travel point before you jump down, or right after you reload the save once defeating ganon, fought him like 20 times now lol
Thank god this game gives you 3 travel medallions. I would have killed to have that in Botw 😂
The worst thing is that it removes your sages until the demon king’s army fights you
Yunobo’s voice in Japanesse... sure is something

Its like Made in Abyss in some ways
It almost looks like a tree

HUH..... WHY DOES YUNOBU SOUND LIKE THAT???
bruh this guy using japanese dub
Same. Did it in BotW as well. Feels like anime and was more enjoyable for me
you're fucking weird.
It’s cool, but I don’t like yunobo’s voice. Idk if that just me or not.
@@swampygaming2975 Agree. Yunobos voice is pretty meh
Champions are better
