My brother loved McIntosh it seems more than anything.He would turn off the lights when he listened to his music,mostly Jazz and watch those blue meters to the point of being hypnotized.Dude emerged from his “experience” like he been away perhaps to another dimension.He has since passed away so every time I see or hear something about McIntosh I thing about him.
You should be thinking about him all the time.
This Mcintosh & Focal pairing sound fabulous. Deep warm bass, pristine midrange and high. The sound of Utopia, once heard never be forgotten.

Do you think that hiring musical band would be cheaper? You will have to pay most probably over 4 grands just for one evening. And if you want really great musical band to play for you during entire year by providing you gorgeous performance you may have to spend even million, my friend.

I listen to the same song through my 44 year old Sansui 5050 receiver, Yamaha CD player, connected to my Klipsch Heresy III's, and sounds absolutely fantastic!

Va au Leclerc d’Amboise et tu y verra plein de vu mètres bleu qui accompagnent les belles du devant. Il y avais même les gros projecteurs sony la dernière fois que j’y suis allé. C’est vrai qu’au premier abord il est surprenant d’imaginer de tels trésors à l’intérieur. Le rayon électroménager le plus surprenant que j’ai pu voir.
Sempre amato le focal utopia , ho avuto la possibilità di lavorarci anni fa e me ne sono innamorato immediatamente, suonano incredibilmente bene se pilotate a dovere.

Sometimes I think we forget to enjoy music and fall into this obsession of obtaining the best sound.
Always listening and trying to find faults instead of just relaxing and actually listening to music.
Because when I listen to only 3 max 5 instruments prevailing in composition which uses 15 to 20 of them, (because it is somehow ambitious), I cannot (nobody can) understand such music, listening is senseless and it's composer and engineers of recording seem crazy, stealing my time and money . Better to go walking.

Love this setup... I have a baby version, McIntosh MA8000 + Focal Sopra 3's and I couldn't have asked for more. This is more, and if I ever become truly rich - I will have this just to peak! =)
I think Sopra 3s would be comparable if not surpass these. Have you had a chance to listen to the utopia line?
@@CaBdosdos At 2.5x the price, and belonging to the upper tier of the line, these are most certainly better than Sopra 3's. I heard the smallest one once, but one must take care not to ruin your life listening to extreme audio equipment that you can never afford. Sopra 3 was a massive stretch for me, and a life goal that I managed to fullfill. So for me, unless some billionaire comes along and donates a pair, Utopias are out of my reach.

I knew this was going to be beyond "special" - - Mark Knopfler + Dire Straits + the "big boy" McIntosh Monoblocks + the Focal Sopras . . . I listened the whole way through (well, more than once actually) and simply marveled at the pure musicality with not a note or tone out of place :-) :-)

Wouldn't that depend not on the speakers but the youtuber's mic and the device you are listening through. You aren't listening to his speakers!

Just heard these so impressive.
I have an home theatre home audio set up using a Denon 2807 AVR, a Cambridge Audio Blu ray to play my audio discs ( cd, dvd audio, bluray audio and sacd), the Denon powers a pair of Focal Chorus 726, probably overkill for the area, but I love them .
This made my headphones sound better

Supreme Focal and McIntosh hardware. After listening to the same setup, I still think a subwoofer is required. Not necessarily for pre 2000's recordings but, they all benefit from it.
Ha ha a subwoofer required, wich audiophile use a subwoofer.
@@nexnex767 Me and plenty of others. If you're listening to live albums or modern recordings, you're missing powerful sub-frequencies. Even most expensive speakers only start at around 40Hz.

Nice system sound great. The best system I ever heard for home theatre are VAF speakers set up with denon amplifier. Very hard to beat in my opinion. But for just music this system shown here sound awsom. Very impressed
