Leatherman Micra now 25 years old vs Gerber Splice vs SOG Snippet vs Leatherman Style cs

- The Leatherman Micra is 25 years old this year and is one of the best and smallest multitools ever made. In this review I compare the Leatherman Micra with the competition to see which is the best. The Gerber Splice, the SOG Snippet, and the Leatherm Style cs. The Leatherman Micro was my first Everyday Carry multi tool and was with me for many years long before I know what EDC even was! It has always been the best in my view but are there other fish in the sea?
My name is Jonathan, I have a passion for all things 'gadget, travel and EDC' which has filled both my personal and work life for many years. This includes sourcing, reviewing and product development and the creation of two UK national retail chains. Find out more here: • About Jon Gadget - Who...

Product Sourcing:
When it comes to sourcing a product for review, I will usually either purchase an item personally or reach out to a supplier requesting a sample for review. Most suppliers, after seeing the channel, are supportive if they are confident in their product, appreciating the value of greater exposure.
I am sometimes asked to review a product by a supplier which I will only agree to if the product fits the channel and I believe will be of interest to you, my audience. Also the product needs to be worthy of a review. It is not in my interest to review inferior or poor quality products and therefore as you might expect many requests are politely declined.
Any sponsored videos (paid for reviews) are clearly stated as such so there can be no misunderstanding. Even with sponsored reviews I will only agree to a sponsorship on products and services which I believe will be of genuine interest to viewers.
I will always make reference in the video to products which have been provided for review by a supplier and I always make it clear to the supplier that they cannot influence or be involved in the review in any way if they chose to supply a product.
Sometimes a supplier will provide a link to the product or the supplier which I am happy to include in the description. Sometimes I will be provided with an affiliate link so I can earn a commission on sales and this helps to support channel costs but never at the expense of an honest review.
If a product I have reviewed is available from Amazon I will often include an Amazon link in the description. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you purchase a product or service with the links that I provide I may receive a small commission. There is no additional charge to you.
Thank you for supporting the channel so I can continue to provide you with regular reviews, thoughts and ideas and (hopefully) inspiration! Please consider subscribing to keep up to date with new video releases. - Навчання та стиль
I received a Micra as a safety award probably 23 years or so ago and it's lived on my work keys ever since. Not a week goes by that I don't use it for something. That little tool has been in my pocket for pretty much my entire career. Some day we will both retire, and it will find a place of honor on a shelf in my study.
I hope you never retire so the tool can be used until you dead
Just received my first micra
Nicely done informative vid, Jon! I've enjoyed having the original Stainless Leatherman Micra for many years! From watching your detailed comparisons, I'm still convinced it is the best of those you compared. Keep up the great work!
I am a huge fan of a good pair of scissors in a multi-tool also. The all stainless Micra was my go to multi-tool when I first started dabbling in lightweight backpacking in the early 2000's. It never let me down.
Just ordered another micra thanks for confirming I made the right choice not to change 😀
You must love the Micra! I agree I’m a stainless steel gal myself: silver is clean and slick looking!
I've used my Micra for the last 20 years or so and it has held up great and I also carry it in the little jeans pocket.
I bought a micra today thanks to you!
This is the type of content you can rarely find anywhere else, this is what's best about your channel.
Great work as always Sir 😊
Have a great week
Thank you as always Eyal - much appreciated 🙏
Using Skeletool here at high mountain desert plateau hideout as it is very handy and easy to carry. I use it all the time it seems. Nice to carry without being in a pocket, easy to grab one hand and open. Teaching wife to use hers, wish me luck.
Great comparison review. In own a Leatherman Micra. Of all the multi function tools I do own, this is the one I use the most. I have a three compartment coin wallet. The main compartment contains my small change. The second compartment holds my thumb drive and SD card in its case. The third compartment contains my Micra and a very short ball point pen. If you talk about EDC, this is it!
Great feedback - thanks for sharing
I love my micra! It’s so compact and pairs so well with other multi tools. I wish there was a way to add a pocket clip sometimes, but it’s already perfect the way it is. Thanks for the video! I’ve wanted to see all these side by side and your comparison was very comprehensive.
Thank you - I'm glad it was useful 👍
I impulse bought a micra today and it came with a sheath.. idk if that’s standard but I was thinking about adding a clip to said sheath.
I had my first Micra for over 10 years & I love its functionality and size. It's so small & light in fact that I forgot I had it and lost it to security at a baseball game. They've doubled in price since my first one but still I'd say they're worth it.
Style CS is my favorite. Very comfortable in hand and really style.
I daily carry the style. Great little tool. Actually bought it 3 years ago to replace a micra I lost.
I literally just bought my 1st Victorinox!! It’s a Tinker and I was surprised how well it’s made!!!
I love my Leatherman Micras. I have two, one is always in my pocket in a little leather pouch from Etsy with a Nitecore Tiki torch. The other I keep in the shoulder pocket of my backpack for when we are out hiking. The toolset is excellent.
great feedback 👍 thank you
Hi, enjoy your channel. Watched your videos comparing pocket sized multitools, one on scissors based and one on pliers based. Think about doing a revisit on this subject for all around usability and include the Nextool. I find these tiny little multitools to be of very limited use, but so easy to carry its worth throwing one in the pocket and the Nextool seems to be the all around winner in my opinion.
Wow, this is a really good channel, how didn't I find it before? Particularly, I found the SOG bizzare. Overall, it seems the good old Micra is still the most well put tool. I love how it looks like just a little piece of metal full of useful tools.
Welcome aboard!
I still have one and it’s tiny belt sheath. Super useful!
Great review! I was torn between the PS4 and the Micra and got the former just before your comparison reviews came out. Main reason being I feared the knife on the Micra would be of limited use being blocked by the other half of the handle. But if I'd seen it work as a makeshift lock as you demonstrated here, I might've just gone for the Micra, as the unlocked knife on the PS4 can be a bit tricky when cutting through larger stuff such as an apple (it doesn't like back and forth movements). Although the pliers on the PS4 have been superb as tweezers, the precision is incredible.
Thank you for that video! Good job!
thank you
The predecessor to the Snippet is the SOG Crosscut. Its compliment of tools include tweezers that are the same format used in the Micra. The Crosscut is spring loaded so no handles to get in the way. It also uses SOG's compound leverage technology. You should look into it. If the lack of spring loaded scissors made all the difference, I'd like to hear how it compares.
i use the Micra every day, its an invaluable tool. it replaced my Victorinox which i EDC for 20 years
My wife has the original that I gave her 20 years ago. I thought she lost it last year, maybe she misplaced it and found it again but I got her a “replacement” for Christmas. Although I was a little embarrassed she was very excited to have two.
😁
The Style CS seems like it'd be a great pair with another smaller pliers-based multitool, with all the weight savings! Put that thing next to a Skeletool or Powerpint and you've got a winning pair of all the right tools!
Absolutely love my micra. Have yet to find a more compact and useful tool!
yes 👍
💯% with you on this one i like the Micra thanks for sharing this one with us much appreciated 👍
Thanks William 👍
Great vid! I also had the red painted model 25 years ago. The paint came off if you looked at it hard. I griped and they exchanged it for the steel which I still have. Great product for the reasons you said and I carry it around a lot. I have the Cx pliers model, which is sort of pointless. My current scissors favorite is the roxon which combines a knife and full scissors. I haven’t tried the others and I’ll stick with the micra.
thanks for sharing - it's hard to beat 👍
I love my stainless Micra (didn’t know it was thinner!) but it’s just hard to justify carrying over something like a victorinox compact. The compact cuts cleaner, feels lighter in the pocket (Micra isn’t heavy but it feels a bit like a little stone… a pocket organizer might address this). I even find the combi-tool nicer for cleaning my nails than the purpose-built leatherman nail cleaner (the leatherman has a slightly uncomfortable edge, whereas victorinox nicely smooths everything). Just based on the design, you could possibly cut through slightly heavier material with the Micra scissors. But I really prefer the victorinox execution, especially given the personal care focus. It would be nice to see victorinox make its own version of this or maybe see leatherman try making a larger utility version with a pocket clip (Not enough multitools employ full-size scissors).
I agree, my EDC is the Compact now and has been for a while.
Interesting video Jon. I think Leatherman got it right with the Micra it's just well thought out and a compact shape whilst still being very usable. I do like the comparison videos especialy from someone like yourself as a lot of creators get sent stuff and I think that hinders an objective opinion. keep up the great work.
Thanks for the kind comment 🙏
I have the micra and style. Fan of both.
me too 😊
I have gifted Leatherman Style CS to my girlfriend for a number of reasons, firstly because tools can be accessed from the outside, and also because she really doesn't need all that assortment of screwdrivers (personally I was going for Micra, but then decided to ask her instead of making surprise, it's a personal tool after all and she knows better). She loves to use it in her DIY projects and just as EDC tool.
The most important benefit to Style CS to me (because I do all the maintenance on it) is that it's the only one out of those, where scissors can be opened all the way and sharpened easily. At first it looks almost identical to the Micra, but there is actually a little trick with bypassing the spring and opening scissors, that doesn't work on Micra.
And bottle opener is actually the best on it. It's a bit unusual in it's design, but once you get used to it, it's pretty robust and grabs the cap very positively. As for clipping it to the belt loop, it's better not to carry it like that all the time, walking streets and etc, because carabiner spring is not the strongest and you risk losing it. But it can be used to free your hands in a pinch, when you work on something and going back and forth to the tool.
You can stick a Leatherman bit in the carabiner on the Style and it is held in by the carabiner gate. It's not a perfect fit. It wasn't designed for it. But in a pinch, it works.
@@Pinki2019 nice, I'll try it out!
great feedback - thank you - scissor info really interesting 👍
great 👍
Style CS fulfils my criteria - small, fingernail care, and ability to wire up a plug. The non-fiddly bottle opener/carabiner are worth having too.
it is a good option
I'm a crosscut fan myself. Great scissors.
Hi, great run down. Not many people are familiar with different multi tool brands and for some heavier is sturdier/better. And the other side is us that knows what is better quality. I also think tha Victorinox Compact can be in this category, pretty much has the same tool set. It's always good to have more options 😁 Cheers
Hi Storn. I hope you are keeping well. Thanks for the feedback as always.
Much love.
I never understood why they never made exactly the same tool as micra but with pliers. I dont care about scissors but use pliers often so i opted for ps4 squirt and style ps and sc and tsa compliant no blade. I think these are underrated. I carry small ones in addition to my skeletool. Usually this is all i need on a daily basis.
pliers would have had to be a thicker tool because plier heads are thicker than scissor heads. I think the larger size would have deterred many from buying for keychain use which is probably one of their biggest selling points
My Red Micra looks exactly like yours, most of the paint has worn off. But it is still one of my most used EDC tools.
it shows it's been loved!
👍. My little Micra .. the original SS Model from way back .. still in daily use.
Together with a Mini-Torch and an Aluminium Storage Tube containing Chf 100.00, on a Leather 'Riempie' (Cord) attached to my Belt, I see no reason to change anything 😊.
perfect 👍
@@JonGadget 👍
Love the Micra; it's lived on my keychain for years, always there when I need it, and small enough that I otherwise barely notice it.
Never seen anyone mention that the curved nail cleaner also comes in useful as a pry tool. Admittedly not for anything heavy duty like removing actual nails.
The one thing I'd change is the bottle opener. It's fiddly to use, and a few years ago I ditched carrying a large wallet in favour of a Levergear Toolcard, and the cap lifter on that is much better. So I'd love a version that kept the small flathead driver but used the rest of that blade for another tool. What other tool might be useful in that slot? Serrated blade? Box cutter? Maybe incorporate a notched wire stripper like Victorinox do?
Thanks for sharing 👍
I’m stuck between the mini champ or the micra . Since changing jobs I no longer can legally justify daily carrying my wave .I daily carry a Sak Farmer X and a UKPK . The Farmer X is a superb knife but I’d like to try a keychain tool to go with the UKPK .My ideal would be an alox vagabond but I can’t find one in the uk . Great video as always .
I have a UKPK (G10 S30v) and I think the Micra would complement it really well.
12:00 I see that you as a child never got taught to use a pair of scissors with your thumb and the middle finger, its something I'm glad I learned early on and is now totally natural to me. Gives me a much more stable grip and makes it easier to guide the scissors if you have to cut a curve.
good to know - will have a go!
Have you ever considered a video, how to resharpen the sissors on a Leatherman Wave and SAK 91mm. Should prove to be interesting!!! Watching from Payson, Utah.
I was about to buy a alox mini champ and the website was having issues. I had your review on another tab to watch and then looked at leatherman's website. The Micra is about half the cost of the mini champ and I figured the scissors were probably the thing I would use most. I bought the micra instead.
I think that was a good move - I like the Mini Champ, especially the Alox but the Micra is going to be more useful in real-world use I think
One of my favorite videos you have made. Awesome
Also...a few details worth mentioning the scissors on the style are actually thicker AND there is a way to unlock the scissors for them to be sharpened! Not a feature on the micra.micro.
Also Micras pre 2000 have better scissors for some reason. I've had a hard time getting clean cuts with the modern micras and styles...the Snippet had the best cutting...but that's the ONLY good thing about it imo.
Thanks for the feedback Dominic - really appreciated. I can see they are a bit thicker, never spotted that. Can't see how to separate the scissors on the Style though. The Snippet has a torx screw which is nice - agree that beyond the scissors it's not great.
Also....are LM discontinuing the Style cs do you know? They seem to be disappearing everywhere!
@@JonGadget yes I believe so. I've always thought the PS was better. However, there are sti quirks with the micra...since it's very difficult to sharpen
@@maxlvledc yes PS should be able to fly in hand-luggage which makes it quite unique - until security staff decides they want one! I struggle to sharper all scissors that won't come apart.
@@JonGadget I think there is a sand paper trick...where you cut fine grid sand paper with the scissors to sharpen...I never had that work for me.
Great vid John, as usual. You’re missing the SOG Crosscut
It's not remotely as good as the snippet.
I was going to include this and in fact have one (although plastic tooth pick is broken) - but I believe it is now discontinued. The multiplying action is good for one 'snip' but a right pain for continuous cutting.
Great video, as per. I'd like to see you continue this series with a look at the Leatherman Squirt PS4 and it equivalents, if there are enough decent quality tools of that size with pliers as the main feature, fir instance the Gerber Dime. Keep up the good work, been a subscriber since your first video on the Compact!
That is exactly the plan 😊 really appreciate you being a part of the channel 🙏
@@JonGadget True Utility Seven could possibly be another one, quite a bit cheaper.
@@kermitthepog7063 Thanks - I'll check it out 👍
@@JonGadget Nextool Mini Flagship is the real competitor with the Squirt PS4, Diezelle has done some comparisons, including testing each tool, of these 2 together with the Gerber Dime, and it does well.
@@simonh6371 thanks for the feedback Simon, I'll check it out.
Leatherman produced another scissor tool of similar size called the Squirt S4 quite similar to the Micra yet, featured outside access tools .
That may have gone now although they have kept the plier based PS4
I lost my Micra due to a memory lapse of it remaining on a set of keys whilst attempting to traverse airport security. Replaced it with a Style CS but still think I'll end up with another Micra, stainless finish. The Style CS just doesn't quite cut it but as it lives in my tech pouch I'm not rushing to replace it.
The Micra is really hard to beat for the size 👍
Twenty-five years is a big lot. I would gladly carry a Micra but i have a savage bias for Victorinox' scissors, hahaha.
not a bad bias I would say 👍
That SOG looks cool, the blade is like a small canadian belt knife. Tho that silly tooth pick should be victorinox type awl as the tool’s almost like mini sewing multitool.
I really want a Micra because I love my Gerber Splice but prefer Leatherman made multi-tools
I was very loving the style cs, but it is not available anymore 😢 and I lost mine. Looking to a good replacement
I like the Gerber Dime!
Review coming up soon 😊
I haven't seen a style cs for sale in a cpl yrs now. It's what I've been carrying on my keys for yrs now but haven't seen one anywhere for awhile.
Can you do a small section of the video telling us your experience using the tool and what it felt like or is you had difficulty?
Can you do a review on on sling bags plz ie AER city sling or what’s the best slings about plz
I had the Style, but after two failures it was replaced under warranty for the now 26 year old Micra.
When you speak of the "outer shell" on the Micra, are you referring to anodizing or a layer of plastic? I have an example of each. I've found the Micra's scissors less than ideal for paracord, but overall it's a pretty good tool. Nice to see that SOG is bringing some innovation, even if it lost a lot between concept and final outcome.
Great video, as always!
I think the shell is an anodised aluminium layer - I've not broken one apart but I don't think it's plastic! thanks for the kind feedback
I'm interested in the Leatherman Squirt PS4, it seems it's actually smaller than the Leatherman Micra while still maintaining much (if not all) of the functionality.
it is smaller and perhaps a bit thicker - review coming soon - but it is a plier-based tool so has different appeal.
@@JonGadget Right, that makes sense. I'm less interested in the scissors on a Leatherman since I always bring my Victorinox Climber with me anyway but I do see the appeal of having a good set of pliers with me in a small form-factor.
So you're absolutely right about them having a different appeal.
@@lndtbs I have a Climber too, and also I have the 58mm Classic SD, as well as the Leatherman Squirt PS4. I can tell you that the Vic scissors - even the 58mm ones - are better than those on the Squirt. I can cut most things with the Squirt scissors within reason, however the other day I tried to cut thread to sew something, and they wouldn't do it. The thread just kind of went between the blades but didn't cut. I've seen on other yt vids that the larger Leatherman scissors - like on the Style CS and Micra - do the same with paracord, they don't cut it but it kind of jams between the blades. This doesn't happen with any Vic scissors, or even on my cheapo Nextool mini scissors.
I do however like the Squirt for the pliers and file and tend to carry it with a simple folder e.g. Bokerplus Atlas. I carry my Climber when I'm carrying a multitool which doesn't have scissors in my bag, .
I’ve had it for quite a long time, and even though it does seem te be a great option, I never used it much. The tools don’t feel good to use or are too small to make an impact. The scissors spring broke. The pliers are too small to do anything significant, ect.. I’d highly recommend something like the Vic rambler and a knipex cobra XS. 😄✌️
I had several Squirt ES4 (wire stripper vs scissor or plier). Absolutely loved them. But wore them each out. Then they discontinued them. Haven't bought a squirter, since.
The serrated blade on the Gerber is probably a better tool for corrugated cardboard than any of the scissors or plain blades. It probably makes more sense for some people and in some instances. To be honest, I think when you are dealing with this size a SAK is a better option.
I would agree but it is very short so not ideal for sawing action
How typical, only just seen this and learnt of the Leatherman Style CS, it is ideal for what I'm after (Scissors, easy access non locking knife, tweezers & bottle opener). It is so hard to find this combo on a small pocket tool. Only to find out it is discontinued with no replacement.
The Letherman micra is a clear winner for me as well. The SOG would go straight in the trash. Those ridiculous “wings” on the handle would make me crazy. The Gerber reminds me of a cheap gas station tool you could purchase at the counter with a pack of gum.
The Micra is a clear winner for me too 👍
When you do pliers, you gotta check out the Gerber Dime! I’ve had it on my keys for about two years now and I love it! So useful
I have one to compare 👍
... Well I've just literally got back from Millets and got myself one of the Leatherman Micras on the back of your in depth review thanks Jon! However just a quick one pal I'm now after a Wingback wallet I know you own the Winston and rave about it but what do you think about the Cash wallet by Wingback are they just as good too? I'm more of a notes bloke tbh and carry probably 2-4 cards max. Please help me choose which one to buy Jon lol. Hey and Have a good one and all the best for New Year!!
I truly enjoy your videos, thank you. I wanted to get the Micra but I have not yet because I cannot decide if I prefer the scissors or the pliers. May I ask what’s your opinion on a multitool with pliers instead of scissors?
The Gerber Splice is great for the $, especially if you lose things as frequently as i do lol. But the serrated blade is great for cardboard
There's a Leatherman Style Cs too 😇😇
Cool
Great review Jon!!!
Micra fan here too...but I think it is definitely good for an urban environment, for outdoors like while I am on a boat or fishing inshore, CS might be more valuable with its big blade, and powerful Scissors plus "removable" twisers. I was thinking of buying a CS because of these reasons, what do you say???
Thanks again...by the way which G-Shock you are wearing? Any reviews and last thing what's your input on Garmin Tactix Solar?
I do like the CS too - I have both - Micra as you say is a great all-rounder - I don't wear a G-shock - it will be the Garmin Instinct Solar
Could the Gerber Splice bottle opener open cans?
My Micra came with a little bit of game in the scissors and you need to keep then together to cut well. Of course I live in Argentina: no warranty.
sorry to hear that Enrique
Yes, still the best for size.
Hey Jon i just watched this video, and while i love the Micra I recently replaced it in my urban EDC tin, by this new mini multi tool called the Nextool Mini Sailor. While I am not implying that it is of better quality than the Micra, in my opinion it is more practical since it is also pretty compact (not as much as the micra) but it allowed me to eliminate 3 items from my tin. The mini sailor has pliers and also really great scissors, simcard tool and many other goodies. I have seem a few well known youtubers review it and they have been pretty impressed. I am wondering if you have had a chance to check it out. I know you are faithful to the leatherman line, but this is worth a look.
i still have my micra which i bout in 97 marina arcade dao mabalacat pampangga it still is in good working conditions
great to hear
What a pity the Micra seems to be out of stock everywhere online in the UK, would really like one. The official site wants £30 shipping, so that's out. I'll keep searching...
LM have just launched some new colours!
@@JonGadget That's good news. Hopefully I'll be able to pick one up soon!
Great video Jon. How does the gerber dime fare up?
Video on PS4 vs Dime just gone live
Great video Jonathan. Does the bottle cap lifter on the Micra work well? I ask because I've seen a number of video reviews on the Squirt PS4 saying its bottle cap lifter is quite poor and does not work well. Thanks!
It works OK on the Micra with a steady hand, I wouldn't use this if I was a barman though! PS4 review coming soon and I will test and compare the cap lifter 👍
@@JonGadget Thanks!
Can you please do a rewiew of the victorinox huntsman lite
that's a good idea 👍 it's on the list
Leatherman Micra....i wonder how it stacks up against the Leatherman ps4. I haven't heard anything particularly good about the Gerber equivalent...the Gerber dime.i believe it's called....nice video!!!
I am going to compare plier-based mini tools shortly, so keep watching 😊

Is that the 1983 model leatherman you have in a frame Jon?
I have one more question about victorinox. So the question is: What do you think about Victorinox jetsetter
it's better than nothing - one for hand luggage on a flight
The Style CS has a big price cut on Leatherman's site right now. Makes me wonder if they're discontinuing it?
I thought they already had… the CS hasn’t been on the UK website for months and out of stock on lots of other UK websites.
@@MichaelB2L It's available on the U.S. site for 35% off. I see it says "final sale" so I guess that's the end.
I've a feeling they're out of stock everywhere
A Chinese €3 copy also does the Job!
I'll do a comparison some time
The Splice gets through stuff the Micra doesn't, especially 550 paracord.
Thanks for the feedback 🙏
My blue Micra has a little more paint on it than yours. It is my second favorite multi-tool. My SAK Explorer is #1.
good choices 🙏
I think you could be the next James Bond.
more like a knackered Q I would say
Gerber Dime maybe? Although, that's pliers, not scissors
separate review coming up 👍
One of the few scissor based MTs that have better scissors than vic
yes - much more practical for the heavy user
No they don't not by any stretch. I've seen on other yt vids that the micra doesn't cut paracord, it kind of wedges between the blades. Victorinox scissors are the best there are on any multitool of any kind end of, even the 58mm ones will cut paracord.
@@simonh6371 I would say that the Micra can handle heavier duty cutting tasks ie. can easily cut through a mains cable, and the Vics are very sharp and better for snipping tasks.
@@JonGadget True actually, I wouldn't attempt to cut through mains cable with either 58mm or 91mm SAK scissors. I generally use the Fiskars scissors on my Gerber MP600 bladeless for heavy duty tasks.
The Micra now appears to be discontinued. I just snagged one off Amazon for 50 € (!!) just to be safe
Thats the normal price for it now. From leatherman
I don´t understand why you doesn´t like the toothpicks. Maybe you must think a little outside the box. For my Victorinox it got one of my most important tools. Why? They are simply the perfect cleaning Tool for USB-C and Lightning Ports :)
Style CS scissors are not better than the Micra ? Many people are complaining about the Micra... Im probably going to buy a Minichamp. All leatherman keychain multitools have problems exept the style CS, Squirt S4 and P4 who are not longer available.
I still like the Micra - you can see I've had a few!
@@JonGadget if you make a review about the PS4 dont forget to mention the weakness of the scissors spring. The PS4 is a great keychain multitools but im not gonna purchase it because of that, i dont want to be scared of loosing my scissors even if leatherman warranty would replace it.
@@RedSun_Will I will pay close attention to the scissor spring!
@@JonGadget but actually yes i agree the Micra seems good even if the scissors are not the most effective, i still hesitating between a Minichamp and a Micra but for sure if i pick a Micra, will be a stainless steel =)
@@RedSun_Will both really good - Minichamp has some tools you may not use but feels very nicely put together - Micra a bit more basic but everything is useful and scissors are great for heavier duty work

As for packaging, Leatherman uses the box because it's always used a box. I honestly hate all the plastic that takes a tool to get your tool out.
Lost my cs style recently.. the carabiner hook isnt that trustworthy ;)

Snippets definitely a design flaw. they didn't think they out enough! Instead of spring loaded, add all that extra metal for 2 big handles hanging out? They all better look closely at Leatherman, not going to out think those guys
I’ve never liked anything from SOG. The quality is just not up to Leatherman and Victorinox standards.
Big no no to the sog!
