"No money, no drugs. Simple economy". xD
Lol I wonder how many foreigners almost got into a fight in Korea because they just wanted to wave someone torwards them.
hahaha we wouldn't get offended because it's obvious they didn't know it was inappropriate x)
hahaha That's a relief. I thought that I would have to fight someone XD jk
I HAVE, AND IT WAS DELICIOUS
the difference is when my mother looks at me and does the gesture she's not meaning "hey, friend! come over here!" but "get your ass over here!"
@@RachelKim yeah in America I'm pretty sure it's just normal come here for them and in other countries too
Haha that beat you up gesture would just be a normal beckoning gesture where I'm from. So I'll have to be careful when I go to Korea.
In Bulgaria, when you shake your head it means yes, and when you nod it means no! It was very confusing for my Bulgarian friend when she came to the UK 😄
I'm from Bulgaria too and yes it's confusing
I'm from Bulgaria too (I was surprised this was the first comment I saw) and since I grew up watching UA-cam videos only in English, I nod for yes and shake my head for no XD
"Oh what an interesting story grandma" ㅋㅋ I just died of laughterㅋㅋ
Same!!
Fuckyou
Shut up
Not the ㅋㅋㅋ 🤣😢

I Really Love watching your videos. They are both informative and entertaining. They Always seem to make me smile. Although, it could be your enthusiasm that makes me smile too. Keep it up. I Really appreciate all that you are doing. 💘
Rachel, this was such an awesome video! Mainly because you were so happy, cute (as always), but also totally owned the camera. Like a TV host. Great job! 😃
This one was cute! ; )
Rachel... You have a terrific and natural sense of humors. I enjoy the contents and the many helpful comments in your videos. I am not Korean, but I was friends with many Koreans during my time in college in the US. You reminded me of their demeanor and blunt (perhaps too blunt sometimes) reactions. It is clear that you have put in a lot of thoughtful work and efforts into making your channel a success. This is indeed a testament of your love for Korea--your country and of your passion to communicate/connect with others. You are bright, perceptive, discipline and intelligent. More importantly, I like the way you view the world and people. I wish you well on your continued pursuit of this channel, and other things in your life.
PS.: You have good chemistry collaborating with Jina and Terry. You worked well together.
A lot of these are the same in the US. Except the finger hearts (obviously). The one you did for money is a curse here I think 😂 but if you do it right side up is means "okay!". The way we use body language for money is by rubbing our thumb together with our other index and middle finger tips (if that makes sense?). And our finger guns are kind of a way of saying "ayeeee".
peachcakes Lol spot on explanations.
Yes! Oof I think it will be hard to stop using fingerguns like this should I visit Korea. Everyone will think I love them after I made a bad joke!
don't forget flipping off people with the middle finger xD and dabbing
THANK YOU SO MUCH RACHEL!! I had a big smile on my face the whole video! This is the first time seeing a video of you. It taught me a lot!
Awesome as always! Another great video! Thank you very much for sharing! As always, you cheered me up and helped me smile... 감사합니다!
imagine that one dude who was just fanning himself with his hand one second and them was fighting random people on the sidewalk the next
Now I understand the end of your videos! Oh God, I thought you were trying to kill me but it was actually just bullets of love
In America, finger guns are for saying “Hey! Hello!” or for when you say a dumb joke. After you tell a dumb joke, you can do finger guns to be sarcastic.
Also, the finger hearts have spread to China, I think. There are stickers in the Chinese app WeChat of the finger heart that my friend sent me. When I told my little sister what it means, she thought it was really clever!
wow, now Chinese use it too? That's awesome! haha :)
Rachel Kim Yes, I think so! I like it, it’s really cute!
I’m not sure if every American does this or if it’s just a regional thing or even just a district thing but I know when I make promises we do it similarly to how Koreans do but we also kiss our own thumbs and then touch them together. It’s just kind of like a “this promise can never be broken, it’s official for life” type of thing. It’s like an added level of seriousness I guess
Oml 😂I nearly chocked the "come here" legit mean "go away" in my country 😂😂

Me:Deeply inhales
Also me:Screaming BTS 😂
Rachel, I love the pinky swear, you're the best!
Keep up the good work ! Great and funny videos !! I can relate to what you are saying 😄 have been living in Korea for over 1 year and was hard at the beginning to learn and accomodate to all the new cultural differences 😄
This was fun! I did all of these with you when you were demonstrating. It's 5am and I'm sitting in the dark when I'm supposed to be studying. Ehh, your channel is perfect when you need new material for procrastinating!
Love learning new stuff about your culture tho I don't think I will ever get a chance to visit Korea.
your videos are so cute and they brighten up my day!!
0:48 wow I’ve always done this and never knew it was weird but some people do get confused when I do this but some don’t (maybe because they’re my friends)
The difference between: "I will vanquished you to oblivion" and "come buddy" is if the palm is up or down, that's really important to know ngl
So cute when you talk to yourself in the video
it really helps me a lot. thank you
Rachel! You always being a smile to my face! Aloha from Hawaii!
What a neat video! Thank you.
lmao omg she's so cute i died "i use my body to communicate *gestures like 36 times*"
This is great! I wish I knew these before I went to Korea. Haha!
This helps a lot as I’ll be visiting South Korea soon and I’m learning how to speak and read it... but knowing body language helps to... I’ve only just started following you and I think your content is brilliant... keep it up
Lmao how was your trip?
You are sooooo adorable!! ^_^ Your videos are so informative and nice!
Kimchi is awesome!! Also, I have cravings for spicy squid.... Cool video @RachelKim ! I'll use them at work and see how many of my Korean co-workers notice what I'm trying to do :-)
You have no idea how much I needed this 😭😭
Thankyou for this video
Would love to know more about the Korean culture. I have been curious since I got into K Pop and fell in love with BTS. 💞 Glad to find you here

I don't think I would pass a test on this class, but I thoroughly enjoyed taking it.
Talking on language, koreans play 'scrabble'? I mean, scrabble with korean alphabet?
Great video!
Love your body language... 😍 💘
Thanks for the vedio, et least we can understand more body language is extremely important. 80 percent of unspoken language is body language .
In italy the little heart with finger means money
Awww!!! this is so cute...
Wow! I just realized I have been doing that to my friends and they also wondered what I was doing #relatable
I'm Hungarian, the gesture Koreans use for people to get close, we use to shoo people or animals away (mostly animals, though)...accompanied by Shoo, shoo sounds.
That kimchi smile was so cute
I’m so done this is amazing 😂❤️
I kinda don’t know what to think now, because a Korean dude did the finger heart thingy to me recently, like he randomly, outta nowhere told me what it meant
This was adorable. ~
Sweet! I liked the come here, the bad boy style. But then all those cute kimchi, saranhae etc came and I end up not having a definite favorite :D
So cute!
In india if you show your pinky finger it means you have to urinate and the very famous 3rd type of nod the indian head nod which is clockwise and counter clockwise can mean yes/no/i understand depending upon context.
Your accent reminds me of BMO from adventure time
I like your vibe hahah cool thanks for the bullets of love
When u did the shot one i had a shot glass with cold water in my hand and exactly drank like that. I had to stay still 10 sec and realize what just happend.
nam woohyun(infinite) popularized finger heart
Can you please make a video about the appropriate dress for the girl in Korea 🤗
First thing Koreans do (that are mentioned in this video): pinky promise.
Me: * Thinking back to Jungkook and Taehyung's handshake that means "I promise that I love you" *
Can you another video?
Very funny and true. I use too do the heart sign with deaf Korean ajima, I hope I spelled that right. She taught me how to sign "f" off. 😁 by the way, your very cute and funny.
gdragon create finger heart sign 👍
ALLWAYS love your post
Be Safe
You're so cute Rachel ahaha💓💓💓✨💪🏼
Brilliant

No money, no drugs. Simple economyXD You're awesome, I subscribed)
Say kimchi to the camera. You're so cute Rachel
My friends Italian grandma will throw her hand out and shake it a little to things she really doesn't like... which also looks like waving hello:)
Those were fun. Do you still say fighting, and pump your fist like they do on K Dramas? Or is that out of fashion
안녕하세요~ Rachel님!

Ok do not take this wrong, your fingers are perfect for guitar, doing those signs I saw your fingers were long enough to go around Neck of guitar and play A to low F and thank you now I understand korean body language..Good thing we never talked Irish New Yorker 😬🙊😎

I love pinky swears.... ☺☺☺☺☺

You're the cutest here. I've fallen😅
I 💙 Rachel! 💍
Brily
Coming from a cold, "savage" culture where people just basically stare (if anything at all)... this was interesting! Thanks: "Beeeam!" (like Morning Musume / J-pop) :-)
why they are stroking or touching their lovers hair
If you use real bullets it means leave me alone.
This korean body language is same as like Indian body language
xD almost all of these are exactly opposite of that in the netherlands lol xD soo funny.
oh wow really? haha we are so different! x)
I live in Belgium. I don't see it. How are they opposites?
Cute 😘
The video was cute 😂
The one for money, where I’m from, if you do that below your waist and someone looks then you can punch them... Yeah, I’m from a weird country.
when I went to Seoul, I saw people "saying" NO by making an X with their forearms. At the beginning I thought that was rude (the sign is looked quite dramatic to me), but then I realized that maybe it is not. Is that sign common?
Juan Felipe Ortiz it's common. I never thought it could be rude..i should be careful from now😫😫
1:38 lmao love the contrast of attitude
You look so attractive when you speak. I really love watching your vids and looking at you. Stay simple, humble and kind. :)
