Hi: I assume you're talking about the paint that is on the outside of the neon tube. Those paints are 'proprietary' in that they are used only by the manufacturers of the those signs, who make them in huge quantities. Custom neon fabricators like myself don't use these paints, partly because they are not available at all, and also, they deteriorate over time. Bill
