I have no relation to the brand names or logos shown in my neon sign videos. They are displayed as parts of the respecitve neon signs and devices only.
Good to see you are repairing the Signs and keeping them going,,,I was a Tubender for 20 years and some of your techniques are differant you still accomplish the final product. Keep going!
Thanks Paul!!
el neon es todo un arte maravilloso yo lo practico hace 65.años
La mas grande herencia que me pudo dejar mi abuelo fue el conosimiento de doblar neon, saludos
Great video, thank you. At 9:02, when bending the raise, my welds always break when they are in a bend, nice job.
Wow, that's an art. Thanks for sharing!
This is amazing. I recently sold a vintage neon sign and packed it extremely well with high density foam, medium density foam, external supports and everything and the shipper still shattered it in a few spots. Do you think a large butane blowtorch would be sufficient for a simple repair?
It looks much easier than it is. I'd say you need at least 3 days (20 h) of prior basic practise to do what i show in that video. Also fine flame torches and how do you want to process the tubes?
Bring it to a shop and ask if they let you watch, that will give a good insight into the craft.
saludos a todos los colegas desde cali colombia
nice man. yeah I got a coolers light neon Sign that i was giving to me and its broken in 2 spots. not sure if its worth the repairs or just keep without using.
Olá eu também trabalho com neon mais diferente, parabéns pena que aqui está desaparecendo tem trabalho aí ?
Was this sign manufactured by Everbrite Europe originally?
I wonder if you could repair or replace a tube I have that got broken?
Hi Dustin, i don't do commisions and (international) shipping is risky anyway. I recommend looking for a neon shop in your area where you can bring the tube.
Hey man one of my neon signs just broke and I’m trying to figure out how I can fix it myself and I think I can weld the glass back together but I don’t know anything about getting the air out of the tub. If I where to just weld the glass back and turn it on do you think it would explode
I assume you won't be able to weld it back together, no offense. It takes many hours of practise. If it was a tube other than clear red, don't do it anyway because you would be exposed to mercury vapors.
Even if you managed to weld it back together, if you turned it on, it would just do nothing. Getting the air out and filling with noble gas requires $$$$ machinery and again experience. Just bring it to a neon shop for repair.
Hello, I bought the same bench burner. What nozzle do you use for neon bending ? the bigger ?
My burner came with 3 nozzles and i'm using the middle one
@@NeonSignStuff thanks!
Why do theese tubes have that black paint to begin with?
To cover the parts that are not desired to light up. If the rear half is also painted, to prevent the wall from lighting up too much. Better contrast to read the sign.
Lead glass or soda?
The letter was lead free and the old electrode was lead glass
which is the tube diameter ? 8 or 10mm ?
8 mm
Do you offer repair services?
Sorry, no. I'm also not in the U.S.
