I have a Hazezon deck and that is sheer dedication getting him to be as little as $27. Some very good includes are welcoming vampire, tocasia’s welcome, mentor of the meek, and skullclamp. Being able to turn every desert you play into 1-2 extra cards really helps the deck gain momentum. He’s my personal favorite commander and it’s a cool take on deserts and can be combined with many other landfall synergies.
He’s my new favourite commander too! I love to go with Impact Tremors as well, suddenly you can basically half all the tablets life points and “shift” the game
@@daedricarmor beast master ascension is brutal with the deck as you can wait until the turn you’re going to knock players out to play it since hazezon makes so many tokens. I made hazezon, shaper of sands when it first come out and my favouret cards in my deck are: kondas banner it give +1+1 to each creature for every colour and creature type so on hazezon all your tokens become 5/5. Then rootpath finder turning all your deserts into basics so you search for them. I am glad that we got a Desert, a Snow, and a Gate lands commander this year but its a shame that none were 5 color, particularly that the Gate and Snow weren't. Hopefully when they print a 5 color Omnath we will get a 'lands matter' or ramp commander, I miss Golos but he needed to good the gameplay loop was boring.
I made Hazezon, but it isn't really budget friendly. However, a card that IS budget that I reccommend is Realm Razer, with the deserts coming back when your opponents eventually remove it. you get allllll the desert fall soldiers!
This was neat! Deserts are an interesting land type, and nor one we see frequently, either in new sets, or in many decks, but this is an interesting idea to build around. I'm actually slightly surprised most Deserts are budget, since thinfa like Wastes usually aren't. I'm hoping you'll do a full Deck Tech of Urza PoK + Powerstone Shard, like you discussed when he got previewed; it's the core of a deck I want to build for Urza LP/Planeswalker, and I'd love to see actual list for yours!
I was working on Hazezon warrior tribal but I think I like this one better. I'll probably swap sporemound with scute swarm, emaria's for felidar's retreat, and if I'm feeling mean I'll swap crush contraband for an aura shards my friend gave me. I'll look into shoehorn in anointed procession since I was lucky with packs.
I have a Hazezon deck, and it has a landfall/token sub theme, and it's surprisingly good. Impact tremors, and Mindcrank plus Altar of the Brood equals a lot of people being removed from the game quite quickly. Then add in Hellrider and no one is having a good time. Except me. Which is most important.
You got the same problem as me in the deck. You only have 2% cards to block creatures with flying which means you are literally open in the sky. If you add the board wipes you go up to 6% which doesn’t solve the issue :( but great deck tech !!!
tcgplayer is seriously questionable at times. I entered this decklist and the price was $1071. They wanted to sell me a $999 Sporemound. Optimizing got me that cart again with 8 packages and two carts with the deck in the $25 range, but $20-25 in shipping for 23 packages. Absolutely wild
I stopped using them because of this nonsense. The huge price disparity on cards mainly, but also having to go thru and work on your shipping.. some sellers it’s silly, free shipping if it’s over 5$ but my cards are 4.50$ so shipping is 1.99$?
Silly question, you have the deck shown on moxfield during the price portion of the video but none of your decks are posted on moxfield why is that if I may ask?
I wish they had a WUBRG Quintison Commander with a Planeswalker Transform backside that has 5 modes for the judges. It could be a great energy commander for the transformer cards.
Love this deck! Not sure why but it really spoke to me for some reason. It just seems like a great go wide strategy with a crazy card draw engine. I ordered it for myself to give it a try with my playgroup! And seriously job well done on the budget. I think this deck will play more expensive than it is.
My name is Desert, so of course I built this deck! I've got mine built with some decent cards, but I can't seem to pull out a win con against my friends' much more competitive decks. Can anyone suggest some effective win cons for this deck?
I know he's pricy, but I really like original Hazezon more. Though I'd certainly play both in the deck of either or. This one rewards playing lands, while the other rewards having lots of lands.

please share this omg
I hate sand, is rough, irritating, and it gets everywhere.
Literally my decks name on Moxfield. 😅

Its over Sandakin, I have the high ground.
🤣 Best comment
This looks like a great build to play with some friends who are newer to mtg and don’t have super competitive decks. Thanks a bunch as usual!

I built Hazezon as soon as he was spoiled! I love it and it's been working great! Heavy on land sac and playing as many lands as possible
I’m really happy you see a Hazezon deck that isn’t $1,000+ dollars. Definitely going to use this as a basis for my own deck.

2:35 First up, of course!
I would love to see a break the bank on this deck!
A good first upgrade that I would immediately make and isn't too expensive is Scavenger Grounds.
The Liege creatures are really good, effectively give your tokens +2/+2
Came here to drop the same comment. And due to recent reprints, very affordable.

idk man. destroying lands in an friendly commander play.

Useless fact: Hazezon Tamar is the only gold card to be worth more than its weight in gold (fact is subject to price fluctuations).
Already have a list for m but haven't bought the cards yet, let's see if there are any improvements I can make in my list with this

Glumgully the Generous? Those warriors ain’t human right?
Assemble the legion slots well into this deck as an extra token generator

is there a break the bank coming for this ?
Now to wait for Hazezon to get an Azir secret lair.
I now dub this card Paul Atreides
Desert Power...
I wonder if we should expect a desert Urborg then
did a Dune crossover fall though over here?
Can Wizards actually release a subtheme of lands like snow-lands, just desert-lands

Definitely the Retreat cycle within Battle for Zendikar for keeping under the budget.
