I notice you have a “Hands off my Tools” sticker 🙌 Which Total Tools store did you get that from?😎

Hi Scottie, yes it would have been from the Sandgate store back in the day. You did well to notice that!! 👍

Just bought the external fan kit for my 2017 Expanda Journey pop top. Will most likely buy the internal kit too...

Looks a great product and easy install. ANy data on how much effect the fans have? ie temp before/after use?

I haven't personally collected any however Royce from 3D Print RV has a lot of information on these fans. You can feel a difference as there does seem to be less condensation which contributes to fins icing up etc. I note the modern Dometic 3 way fridges such as the one in our Journey have built-in fabs to circulate the air internally, so the certainly improve the performance 👍

Mate, how do you manage to smile while you talk?
I tried it and found it nearly impossible!

It's funny you say that as my wife commented the same. I'm generally a pretty happy person however in a way it's a character you build. Given I like to communicate all the detail I can, I also so try to keep it as upbeat as possible so it's not too boring 😆😂👍

That's unfortunately a recent issue on a lot of UA-cam videos. It could also be a data lag problem? Ive been getting this watching a fair few different videos on various channels lately. The original as uploaded certainly isn't out of sync 😉👍

Another great video mate. I purchased and installed the external fan kit after your previous vid on it, and it works a treat. Looking forward to more content from you soon.

Thanks Michael. I'm just packing down the Swan for a rego inspection and hopefully a few videos setup outside next weekend if the weather plays nicely. But I will be doing a quick mod to secure the front bag end so that it doesn't flap around in transit. Its simple and cheap so that should be out next weekend hopefully!!

Good video, as always, but I think you are better off installing a compressor fridge. I install a waeco CRX110 and have not looked back.

Hi Dave, I do tend to agree to a point given how efficient they are these days. But you do need a solid 12v system to support, especially if camping for any extended period off grid and in poor weather. I just feel gas is a great backup as it lasts for ages and totally independent of the weather. That said if you have invested in a strong high capacity 12v system I too would have to consider either the Bushman or Waeco compressor fridges.

@@WorkLivePlay cheers mate. I only have a couple of AGM batteries and a 160w solar setup but it seems to be very sustainable. The fridge is averaging less than 3amps and hour while the solar is capable of 8amps. My last trip was only 3 and a half days but I packed up in the morning with the batteries around 80%.
Anyway, glad you're happy with gas but I thought it was worth mentioning how sustainable electric can be these days
