I LOVE their canning jars! I keep adding another couple boxes every month because I'm terrified they'll stop carrying them and I'll have to go back to ball jars and while I'm not getting rid of my ball jars, I'm also not reaching for them near as often >.>
I did the same with Ball's Pint and half jars. There were multiple articles stating Ball was going to discontinue them so I bought 10 cases. Ball replaced them from a pack of 9 for 8.99 to a decorative spiral for 10.99. This was 2016-17ish. I am so glad I bought them. No idea how much they are now. during that time up to 2019, a case of pint jars was 8.99 and a case of quarts was 9.89. At least where I live. I am excited that there are now Purr and recently Roots and Harvest jars. I will be adding some of those to my inventory.
@@tdewtx I always forget about purr jars. I really should try them. I've seen several creators who who enjoy them. I was at the store probably a couple of months ago and I always check just to see what the cost of a case of jars are, and I was absolutely blown away on how expensive ball canning jars are now.
I, too, like to watch others’ hauls. I can’t tell you how many products I’ve bought because of seeing someone else getting them. Just now, I put your season salt on my next order. 😉
I love Azure! I've been ordering from them for over a year, but mainly pantry items, cheeses and butters. Very little fresh produce, but what I have gotten has been really good. This is my 2nd month in the last 14 that I didn't place an order and it feels really weird. I enjoyed your video! Azure is also big into sustainable farming which I am a huge fan of.
@dlgrilli When we first started, I was ordering every month as well and my husband suggested one day to order for a few months at a time. He was tired of going to meet the truck every month lol. And now we do a quarterly (if not longer) order and go 3 or 4 times a year. I really have been so pleased with their products and customer service
Pint and a half jars are so fun! I've been given some but Ball hasn't made them for years from what I understand. They are perfect for baked beans in my family.
@kdonor I love the pint and half's and I scored 4 of them last year at Goodwill!! 🤗 I was so excited, I'm pretty sure people in the store thought I was nuts. I prefer the shape of the ball jars but I'll take any shape over none😊
I freeze with the skins on- esp french fries and hash brown cubed size (also add these to stews and soups)-- I'm Irish - we ate potatoes every night as kids and my Mom always told us to eat the skins
I get the Azure sweet onions and chop them all up and freeze them as well. I dont care if its cheaper at the store, because Azure onions are organic and hreat quality
@TheonewhomJesusloves895 They really are so good. They're very large too. I'm hoping to grow my own onions next year but I'll never be able to grow as many as I'd need for preserving and storing in the freezer lol
I just picked up Ball lids at TSC for 25 cents a box. I was thrilled but makes me wonder whats going on? It's prime canning season why would they do that?
@Niamh07421 Did you try anything new? Or did you stick with the tried and true items....likely how my winter haul will look. Which is usually pretty small
@@angelas_pantry_obsession always try new things if they are on sale- we are trying the pasta for the first time ( we get ours thru a store by us that imports directly from Italy but the prices have tripled) and we bought the leeks for the first time- 20 lbs- they are beautiful and most will be frozen (our supermarket had them for 5.00 a piece) which is insane- and none of the farms around me had any left-

If you keep and plant the tops of all those pineapples you can grow another pineapple for each top. It takes 2 years but they are free and you can keep doing it over and over. Jalapeno pronounced "hal-a-pen-yo" not "hal-a-peen-o..😂
@TheonewhomJesusloves895 my daughter laughs at me for how I say Jalapeno all the time 😂 I'll have to try the pineapple trick and see how it would do in my greenhouse
@teresaneumann8617 I do. She's great. I have a very large garden. This year however I knick named it the garden that almost wasn't 🤭 I had to pick and choose what I threw in the ground and didn't have time to do it all. Next year I told my family no major parties or plans in May 😅 I'm focusing on my garden lol
@jeanegard yes I am doing a video. I just recorded it the other day so it'll be out this month. You can make them as spicy or mild as you like and I share that in the video😊 I hope you come back to watch
@Cooking_Through_Time I contact my drop coordinator and they will reach out to that individual This has happened once before and they never did come get their stuff. Last time it was a very small box and they lived pretty far. Some people drive hours to get to the drop and cut their losses. I couldn't use the items so I donated them after a year 😰 so they wouldn't get close to the expiration date
@Suzie-he9ni Yes, absolutely. At my drop off and many others who have shared their experiences, there are many people who can assist with getting your items into your vehicle. My husband helps everyone with their orders and many others are willing to help too. Pregnant women also receive a lot of help even if they don't ask for it lol. When you become part of a drop, your coordinator will usually reach out to you ahead of time to let everyone know when the Truck is scheduled to arrive and you could also let them know you might need additional help 😊 You could start with a small order to get a feel for it first
At my drop (at a business) they don't allow anyone to unload or sort at all...tell you to come an hour or so after drop off. At our previous drop (private residence) whoever was there helped unload and sort. Blessings, -kate
I usually have a baby on my back and always ask someone for help with big items. When I was pregnant the truck driver stopped me from lifting something heavy and carried it all the way to my car for me. Everyone is so sweet and willing to help!
@@kerrie8486 I love using them on hot and cold teas and beverages in general. But I also throw them into things I'm cooking. If I'm making cilantro lime rice, I'll throw a few liems in with the rice as it cooks. Lemons with chicken as it cooks. Lends wonderful flavor 😊
Azure also offers organic dried lemon and orange slices by the pound. Unfortunately, they don't appear to have dried lime sliced. I noticed them recently and saw some other people recommend them.
@user-nf8xe2eq3u I contacted my drop coordinator to get their box to them. I was so confused when I looked in that box lol. The name was similar sounding to mine so I wasn't surprised. We had small helpers that day and I'm wondering if they thought it was my name called 🤭
Hello from East Texas! Very nice haul! I’m really going to need to try some of their cheese! Thank you for sharing your purchases
