FELIX Custom 37' Catboat Price reduced to $199,500

Felix is a custom 37 foot composite wood catboat. She is based on the designs of early 1900's Barnegat Bay Catboats. But Felix is far from traditional in form and function. She is the largest Catboat known on the East coast and the builder has included some very high-tech design elements like solid Ash & Cedar Composite Hull, Carbon Fiber Rudder, Marconi rig with carbon fiber spars, Technora laminated main & Jib and a hydraulic propulsion system that raises into the hull when not in use.

A few years ago I was doing a delivery and saw Felix southbound in Pamlico Sound. She had Felix on her sail. Didn't know anything about her. Thanks for the video.

Correct. The plans were modified for her build. She’s one if a kind most closely resembling a catboat.

The hull design was from an early catboat design. The rig was updated for performance.

$200k??? As beautiful as a boat that it is, that is an astronomically wrong price. 37 feet is long for a boat not offering a cabin, or headroom. My Catalina 22 offers similar accommodations apart from the head. And will probably outpace her. Another example of people over-valuing their boats since they put so much work into them. Its only worth $200k to one person on earth. In fact, its insane to ask above $50k for something like this. Its okay, some rich snob will buy it I suppose.

This is not intended for live aboard or long stays. She features generator, hvac, and is very fast. The construction and fine joinery is top knotch. There’s no way in hell your Catalina could compare on any level. This vessel is not intended for your average day-sailor. Not everyone will appreciate her, but to compare this vessel to any Catalina is a joke.
