It's snowing in the ABQ today, so I decided to give my jazz vocal students a snow-day treat. I had them turn off their lights (we're zooming school now) and just listen. This was one of my selections (which I heard for the first time WITH them) and we collectively lost our minds! Two of my students already had Cassandra Wilson albums 😎. The arrangement and strings gave me goosebumps!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love this. Heard it on the radio a few hours ago, since then I've listened to loads of versions on UA-cam. This voice and arrangement is my favourite. They've done something original to a fine old standard.
