This one was shot in LA. He was on a trip down from Canada to the states.

Ren's acoustic version he's is giving homage in his new opening to Ina Kamoze (In the streets they call it MURDER) but right after that Ren plays the same guitar riff for Barrington Levy's "Murderer" with all the scatting Levy does before Ren goes into his own song . Ren is also giving homage to Dr. Dre with the guitar riff from Dre's "Next Episode" ft. Snoop Dog. (probably because this was shot in LA while Ren was on holiday). Also Ren say's (Beotch) in this version; instead of the word (Bitch) which he says in the official release, as a tip of the hat to Snoop who was the 1st to coin that word.
As for Ren's guitar solo I believe this was an homage to another one of Ren's musical influences, Django Reinhardt. Reinhardt being the famous Jazz guitarist who; if I'm not mistaken, was actually the 1st to introduce Jazz to the UK. This is very much a 30-40's guitar riff reminiscent of Reinhardt's music.
Reggae, Ska and Jazz are very big influences in Ren's music 💖 Cheers ✌✌😁.
