Charlie Mike Woodworks & Design Purpose and Mission Statement -
My Wife and I started Charlie Mike Woodworks & Design to "continue the mission" that God gave us, which is to help those who suffer from PTSD, depression and other mental health issues. While our cornerstone is Veterans and First Responders, we help anyone who suffers. One way we help is by showing there are better ways of coping instead of self-medicating or self-harm.

    Even over the bark? 5:27

@@melissamontgomery993 are you asking if I used the sealant over the bark, too? Yes, ma'am, I sure did. I used the cheapest for rough surfaces paint brushes from HD I could find. That did a great job and even caused the mossy area to stiffen up as well.

Hi James, i suffer from ptsd and one of many personality disorders from a badly abusive childhood. Im on meds but psyche wants me to have talk therapy. Now in my mind this is rather ludicrous as why would i want to bring the shite i have buried back up to the surface. Im kind of curious as to your thoughts other than the thoughts of others in the comment section that also have similar disorders. Thanks, cheers from Ireland 🇮🇪

@@GarysScaryFaeries gotcha. (***I am NOT a therapist at all. My comments and discussions are only meant to do that - discuss - not treatment.)
I am talking about what I know, which is PTSD and depression primarily.
I had a VA therapist here in the States who lead me through Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). You talk, discuss, and write about the trauma. I say that it's like any other kind of therapy (including pharmacological), it works for some and not for others. I had to view it as another tool in my toolbox (just as medications and woodworking).
For the longest time, and I'm talking about almost 20 years, I didn't want to talk about it either. But, I do believe that it helps. It might take a while for it to help, and it might help a lot or just a little. But, I do believe talking about it, even if it's a one-on-one with a therapist, does help.
