Great video! English are a difficult matchup. As for control groups, I put keshiks and horsemen in group 1 and khan and mangudai in group 2.

Thanks for tuning in! I have a video where I talk about the control groups I use. When I have cav only, I use 1 for all units, 2 for keshik and horsemen and 3 for mangudai. I try to keep them in the entire group, to make it harder for the opponent to snipe my mangudai down. If you look at 11:55, I charge with group 2, drag out the keshik and sacrifice the horsemen. It seemed to be efficient. But I'm going down the rabbit hole of micromanagement here :)

mobility is their biggest issue, as mongols i find the best strat which compliments your tips is to not let them breathe. Any pocket resources/their woodline needs to be constantly pressured

True indeed and a good point, you have to make them suffer from claustrophobia and mongolophobia. There are always some villagers that are a bit far from the TC, always in striking range from the quick cavalry units. Now that you are mentioning this, I find that building a tower around their base would be cool, to give cav units yam influence, to make them even faster!

    Good strategy.

This strategy is super bad against English player who has brain and can adapt in any way.

Fortunately most of English players lack brain, so it works in our favour. Jokes aside, did you even watch the video or are you just trolling? What do you suggest against a 2TC strategy?

@@MangudaiKharyshkyr my point is you are telling people to have no brain in responding to no brain play.
FC abbey into Kings palace with tower on gold. If you do this horsemen build you will get absolutely blasted.

@@MangudaiKharyshkyr and yes I watched the video. I think in this matchup you have scale your eco with trade and depending on eng play, also work 2tc.
Otherwise you are betting the eng player is brain dead and your all in at min 3 will work. If it doesn’t work, good luck!

@@monkeyarms5863 The all in is not meant to guarantee an early win, but to delay and harass the English player. What situation are we talking about though? King2TC or Council+Longbow?
      1. for King, you need 3 early horsemen to face the king, and by the time the king is out, you have them. And you can follow up with Keshik, having 6 units to dive stone, woodline and TC construction, following with constant preasure and raids. How do you keep up with a 2TC eco? Market. 80% of Mongol players do that. They will adapt, you will adapt too. Was I spamming horsemen only? No. I adapted too, by building a 2nd TC. And I expect my opponents to adapt.
      2. Longbowmen rush is more difficult. Early horsemen are ok to push off gold, to get the 50 resource bounty and if you are lucky, you can kill one or two longbowmen with them. Following with Keshik in age 2, you need to "stalk" you opponent, in order to get favourable fights. Building a market is mandatory, because you are all in eco. Yes, the game was in my advantage because I went for the market, so it was an easy win.
English is the most difficult matchup for mongols and this is the strategy that has worked "best" for me.
So I am not really sure what your point is. Every strategy is meant to throw the opponent off his build and to make him adapt in order to win time and make a better army. Same happens with a tower rush, with a knight rush, with a desert raider rush. If the opponent freezes, then he would probably be silver...
