I put a set of these on my Nissan 370Z that had Bridgestone Potenza S007s as the OEM tire. The Michelins have a more flexible sidewall than the Bridgestones and are less noisy and less harsh riding than the Bridgestones. The Bridgestones had better steering feel and felt more firmly planted to the road during tight cornering. My feeling is that these Michelins are especially good for a more luxury type performance car, as opposed to a lightweight pure sports car like mine.

Your comment is especially helpful! I am actually researching what tires to put on my Mercedes E350; but I drive it like I stole it! I was leaning towards the Bridgestone S-04 Pole Positions but I am now thinking I should stick with my Michelins and go to the 4S.

You can run them in the winter but it’s not recommended. They get hard as a rock and until you get some heat into them. Cold weather can also cause them to crack. I live in NE too but after my PSS needed replacing I went with the Pilot AS 3+. 90% of the PSS grip but better wet traction. 45000 miles too

In short, you can but just so you know, you almost immediately destroy the tire. People usually think, if the treads look good, the tire is good! Well no, the rubber compound in a summer tire gets compromised so much when it's below 40 degrees that almost all of the time there's irreversible damage. The tire may look fine come spring, may hold tire pressures just fine but the actual compound is ruined. Best thing is to run dedicated summer tires in summer and winter tires in winter. If swapping isn't an option or too expensive, then all season tires are the answer.

My thoughts exactly. I have these one my car and was told the same thing exposing the tire to below 40 degree temps damages the rubber. Thanks for saying what I was thinking

Got a set of these as my first set of actual summer tires for my 2014 Civic Si. After testing their performance, it's clear to me that the car was designed for summer tires. The stock all season Continental ContiProContacts were garbage. Idk why Honda still puts all season tires on the Si when they aren't all that effective in the winter (snow and ice) anyway. I have a separate set of dedicated winter tires and rims for that purpose.
Btw, never run summer tires below 45 degrees. It can potentially lead to weather cracking.

The only question I have is, would the Pilot Sport All Season 4 be at all comparable?

If it’s colder than 45 degrees yes. If it’s any warmer the 4s is better in every way
