Hi I’m popping up on a really old video to say….FERNANDO!!!!

Haha, yeah, Aston Martin are back on form it would seem. Stroll was right up there too. Shame about the Aussies on the first lap, both Piastri and Ricciardo had their race ruined through no fault of their own. Anyway, in the end, Yuki brought home points for AlphaTauri, so that was good.
I almost forgot I made these Classic Cars videos. The good ol’ days of not having a clue what I’m doing, but finding some way of doing… something. It was all a learning process. :)

@@McPlayer8t I have to admit it turned up on my recommendation list so I had to find out where things started.
Mercedes had a rough day too. I wonder how Toto’s blood pressure is. :(

Yeah, I’ve always questioned why F1 teams, in this case, Mercedes, build fast cars that they can’t actually use because they overheat. I mean, if you’re going to lose, for example, half a second per lap lifting and coasting, surely you wouldn’t lose that much time with a better cooling system. But, what do I know?

@@McPlayer8t More than the Mercedes engineers, it seems. ;)

Haha, yeah. It’ll be interesting to see how it goes between Aston Martin and McLaren as well now, if their form continues.
By the way, it drives me crazy that this video gets so many views given how little effort I put into it at the time, especially compared to everything I’ve done since F1 2019 came out.

The car is from 1978, though it is called the Lotus 79, a bit confusing.

This video is wrong, a Lotus 78 could never be superior to a McLaren Mp4, the torsion of the metal chassis of the Lotus would have left it more than 30 seconds behind in 3 laps...cmon

I was probably running a low difficulty setting just so I could have a decent race, I don’t really remember, this was a few years ago now. But, you are correct, the McLaren is much faster than the Lotus.
This is one of my first videos. I didn’t put much thought into the accuracy of the race itself, I just recorded a race to show the car in action. To be honest, I didn’t think it would get any views back then, but it has somehow broken the 2.5k mark now.

Great video but RUINED by the silly music... Do you have an MP3 plugged into your ears when you watch a F1 event trying to drown out the sound of engines, even tho it is a Gaming simulation??!!.. Thanks anyway best wishes

I appreciate the feedback, this is a pretty old video, one of my first actually, so if I were to do it again it would be very different. Even now, I am still getting used to talking in videos.
When I posted this, I honestly didn’t expect anyone would watch it, but here we are. 🙂

@@McPlayer8t Thank you for your polite response to my rather (sarcastic) comment!... I appreciate it. Best wishes for your future UA-cam creations.
