- In the centre of Switzerland you can find this very old cargraveyard.
Cars from the 1920's until the early 1970's are standing here peacefull together.
Bad thing is that the government don't see the beauty and rareness of this place and want to remove the more then 700 cars.

In USA this place would be worth millions. I love this song from Craftwork. I do this in Cleveland Ohio. VERY COOL

Man! What a shame! These cars had once been so pristine! They hadnt ended even half their lives when they were dumped here! Atleast the parts could've been saved.

80 percent of the cars went through an auction. The sum was around 300 000€
One of my favorit was the VW T1 Bus with the Auwärter panorama roof, only 24 were made and only 3 are known to exist to the current day.
Somewhat poetic (read : ironic) that the cause of so much global warming and damage to the earth ( cars ) are now slowly being reclaimed by Mother Nature.
So Many Beautiful Cars in there and albeit a waste of useful parts its also eerily fabulous
makes me cry so hard those cars are reaching out saying help me! :'(
How did there come to be so many classic american cars over in a Swiss junkyard? I noticed Chevy's, a 60's Mustang, a Buick, and others.

All 780 cars were auctioned at no reserve in September 2009. The place is now empty.

urmmmm dunno if it was just me but i think i saw a 1937 super rare bugatti there there was one in pristine condition found and was sold for 4 million dollars
I saw some beetles (I think.) No type 2 vws though. :(
Unfortunately it only takes a small amount of old motor oil to contaminate drinking water... even if the water table is largely protected ( although given the number of care I'd consider that to be questionable) there may be legitimate concerns about run-off that eventually leads to a reservoir or lake where fishing is done.
wow i know some people who would kill for some of those cars or even for parts. theres alot of money to be made there in rare auto parts
