A couple lobster fishing off the coast of Massachusetts spotted five enormous sharks surrounding their boat - all frighteningly larger than the vessel itself.
Perry and Carmel Long were cruising in their 18-foot boat near Westport on June 9 when they spotted a 25-foot shark lurking below the ocean’s surface and began filming while discussing whether it might be a whale.

Basking Sharks. Very common in waters off Massachusetts.
They make their way into Loch Ness in Scotland so they sometimes set off "Nessie" sightings by people unfamiliar with that behaviour.

Remember if you're not sure as to whether the animal is a whale or a shark, the best way to find out and make a positive identification is to get the least liked crew member on board to rub down with sardine oil, jump in, and then swim over to take a closer look.
I'm parking the boat and filming until I can't film anymore. Some scientist is going to want to know where, when and a million more questions. This seems very rare.
