@@floasish2flo164 No it's not. Rap is not a race thing. Like Knox said, it's an America thing. To be technical, it's more of a UK thing, because that's where rap started. This was during the union with Jamaica. Rap started as protest chants in the streets. The UK and Spain were at war over Jamaica in 1655. Up until then, Jamaica were under Spanish ownership. So, rap actually goes way back. But that's how it started. Then over time, rap became an American thing through migration from Jamaica. So, to say hip-hop is a race thing makes you sound incredibly ignorant and uneducated.

I've been watching crypt since 2018 or so when he was dissing ksi. And Crypt put scru on the map with the song Four Horseman, they made a collab album call S.C.R.Y.P.T. And they were like best friends, but if you go to Crypts channel, Scru hasn't been on it in like 3-4 years. Now it kinda makes sense
And with Gawne, he made a song literally called death to mumble rap, and Scru was at that shoot (not on the song) and after it dropped and Gawne, Crypt, Mac Lethal, and Futuristic got backlash from it, Scru went after Gawne. Sorry I know these are long, but just giving context

I've never really liked the gatekeeping mentality of some people saying hip hop/rap is a black only genre of music and everyone else are just guests. Just feels weird to me as a metalhead. That is a sentiment you would never hear the reverse of in the metal community. Some of our most beloved artists in the metal community are black. Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage is a good example of being one of the most universally loved and respected artists in the genre.
It’s just some black dudes that are insecure because a white dude raps better than them. If people stuck only to what someone the same skin color as them invented, then black people wouldn’t be playing basketball lol.
Imagine that shit mentality in sports, no MJ, Lebron, Kobe, etc, in football same, in euro football(soccer) would be like only english?😂

I think you may have misunderstood scru’s point on the raps origin thing. I don’t think he was saying that raps origin is exclusively from Africa and Jamaica but rather it was created with much of those influences. Nothing you said was wrong though, can’t forget about Latino and Hispanic influences too along with cultural aspects that have just developed over time. Neither artist is a guest to hip hop, great review🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥
