4:28 - American here. I think a majority of Americans want nothing more than for America and Russia to at least be on speaking terms again. Some like me would very much like for us to be friendly. I have a Russian friend and I watch a lot of "Man in the Street" videos about Russia and I think our people have far more in common between us than we do a lot of other countries. Also, I think it would be really good for the World writ-large if Russia and America collaborated scientifically again. I've always had the utmost respect for Russian ingenuity and creativity. Another area where I think the US and Russia have a lot in common.
My perspective as an American who worked tirelessly during the cold war, I believe the greatest strategic blunder of the last 500 years was America slapping the hand of friendship that Russia extended. Perhaps the historians will recognize this and write about it.

American here. Mad respect for Russians. I haven't spent any time there but from what I can see and have studied about their history, the words that come to mind are - rugged, family loving, independent minded, rationale, very smart and cultured, reasonable, actually peace loving considering their sometimes tragic history and turmoil. We have a fair amount of Russian and Ukranian migrants where i live (all are legal and law abiding) and they are all hard working, net positive on contributions to society.

4:28 - American here. I think a majority of Americans want nothing more than for America and Russia to at least be on speaking terms again. Some like me would very much like for us to be friendly. I have a Russian friend and I watch a lot of "Man in the Street" videos about Russia and I think our people have far more in common between us than we do a lot of other countries.
Also, I think it would be really good for the World writ-large if Russia and America collaborated scientifically again. I've always had the utmost respect for Russian ingenuity and creativity. Another area where I think the US and Russia have a lot in common.

I haven't spent any time there but from what I can see and have studied about their history, the words that come to mind are - rugged, family loving, independent minded, rationale, very smart and cultured, reasonable, actually peace loving considering their sometimes tragic history and turmoil. We have a fair amount of Russian and Ukranian migrants where i live (all are legal and law abiding) and they are all hard working, net positive on contributions to society.
