Marc is a remarkable kid. Great personality and a dashing smile. A very fun video with a big team effort to prepare the bike, preview the downhill, and just an overall great production. Well done to everyone who was involved with this project!!

Very true. People with heavy trail bikes and adventure bikes don't realise just how important the weight is....until they first ride on ice, deep mud, tree roots, etc. Then they understand!

Most of the best MotoGP riders also ride MX bikes also as it’s a brilliant way to increase balance and it builds your physical body strength up also..
Though I believe a lot of the top teams worry about allowing them on dirt bikes as they are potentially more dangerous and more likely that you hurt or damage yourself..
@@Only-one-life-68 they ride anything that has 2 wheels but the main things are flat track bikes and mini bikes for practicing
fun fact: its not even the MotoGP bike, its a road legal replica RC213V-S, which is heavier by 5-10 kilos and produces less power

Did you watch the video? They clearly said it, its too dangerous because heavy snowfall which makes the hill have 0 traction, also that bike is 160kg.
@@ibrahim-tf8yr were talking about riding ON snow. Do u expect traction?
@@RadPotat that's what the spike tires are for. They said that the snow is too thick on the steep part that even those special tires won't do the trick.
Why use spikes when paddles have proven to work best for snow?
A snow machine with spkkes would go nowhere too.
@@quantumleap4023 in soft snow maybe, but I'd rather have spikes on a prepared ski slope.

Just like Rossi in his day - the guy is a lovable champion. It’s awesome to see him ride and awesome off track. Always smiling. I love both riders (and few others) for different reasons. At the end the real GOAT is the sport. Motorcycle racing is the best sport on earth.
Loveable? He's easily the most polarising rider on the grid.
Ed had an incident or two with VR .. and both, IMO, were MM fault. VR had incidents of his own (VR’s fault) but not with megastars that would cause an army of fans angry. Anyway. Both have same champions mentality and a clash is inevitable. JL99 is a champion too but hardly as lovable as either of them ..
Even Vale not as lovable as Mr nice guy John Kocinski !

Dan games best rider in the past 8-9 years for sure.. Hence championships. Better than Rossi today? I think so too.. Rossi’s legendary status is not just riding skills. Rossi made motogp popular. He changed the game and brought huge sums of money into the game with major sponsorships and TV coverage. Marquez is carrying the flag these days. I hope someone else shows up to continue this. few promising talents but can they be superstars? Build huge fan base?? We’ll see

Not fast at all. He was all over. They make it look cool but he's shaking. He has feet off pegs more then on. Just not the right bike. He's a very skilled rider but this was just a money grab by red bull. They are running out of ideas.

Thank you guys so much for posting this. As an avid motorcyclist when I watched the video originally I had quite a few questions about just how he was able to do that. I mean sure it's Marc Marquez and he's a god, but questions were still unanswered and this helped quite a bit. Excellent work guys, keep it up.

Just to clarify: I am pretty sure unless I blanked out on some of the coverage he didn’t make it up the Mausfalle. Regardless, he is a man among men. Maybe next year with better conditions perhaps right after the WC race...he could make an attempt on the Mausfalle.

They should put The little skis that you can ski a motorbike on water on the front forks . Would probably help when turning and he getting into deeper snow or crushed ice . Pretty insane all in all put great to watch
