I figured out the mental health benefits of this sort of art all by myself. I draw everyday, it calms me and helps me to gather my thoughts and make sense of them.
Wow, I didn't realize that this was a movement in art! I remember doing something similar back in high school but with a ruler, pencil & poster paint (geometric drawing/painting). I got an intense calming & peaceful time kreating it that I didn't hear the bell for my next class! I still have the painting! I'm going to do some research on it. Thanks!
Thank you for the tutorial. I found a nice tip that allow for more random and less organised line drawing - using a pencil and a coin and pushing the coing from one side/corner to the next. Since it wobbles and moves uncontrolled you will get interesting non-repeating shapes.
I love the science behind this art form. My siblings and I when we were kids, I would make what I call a very simple design and that we would color it. Of course it lacked the sophistication but it was a lot of fun and it kept us out of trouble. You do an excellent tutorial
Thank you for sharing your perspective on this new art movement. I’m in love with neurographic art. It calms my anxiety and make me focus on the task at hand. 🖼️ Watching from Montreal. 😊
Thank you so much for an informative video with simple , clear instructions. I believe in combination of all three too. It has clarified a lot of jargon which is out there.
OMG, thank you. I kept seeing different instructions, some say start with shapes, one says add only one kind of shape. Then seeing actual imagery like flowers, animals, people, so felt than was no longer the neurographic lines exercise. Although I'm sure I'll do that but wanted to start with the neuro aspect. You explained all this the best, thank you!
I am intrigued and inspired . thank you for offering a clear introduction the the basics and benefits of this form of art . I am eager to see where this takes me
This video was the inspiration for a polymer clay tutorial I have done. I have linked this video in the description of my tutorial. Thank you sharing :D
"Change direction as soon as you are aware of the route" created more tension as I was constantly trying to figure out where it should not go. Making wobbly lines with my non-dominant hand, with my eyes closed, was much more relaxing.
I'm happy you found a way to do it. Using the non-dominant hand is often the solution. Also I like to slowly rotate the page with my other hand as I draw. 🌹
Interesting video Alison, I like how you emphasized different uses of the method and possible benefits and I am glad more people are looking into neurographic art, it is so popular in Russia and Western Europe. Although there are things that are explained differently in English-speaking videos than in Russian. perhaps just different approaches to that (I only know the basics myself). Hope to see your tutorials on procreate and digital art as well! :)
Hi Tatiana, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I am just offering my take on how Neurographic Art is created. There are many other ways to work with these principles and as time goes on I hope to explore them as well on my art journey. Thanks for watching. 🌹
Sixty-something here and yes, we did this art back then. It seems that now it is gaining popularity with another generation which is great. Thanks for watching. 🌹
I started practicing neurographic art nine days ago when I saw a video for it come up in my feed. It is very therapeutic for me and I am really enjoying it!
No professional by any means but am a patient experimenting with self lead eclectic-holistic approach to recovery plan (C-PTSD-Autism)- and has been doing so intentionally and with deep observation and dedication for the last 4 years or so - no expert by any means, maybe even a bit immature, but I though it may be a good thing to question and ask first feedback about so here we go . You said the mental-health benefits In theory, are only to be reaped by using the specific type of aproach, that it would be The Way to create new neuropathic pathways. I am just curious- why? I find it silly but have the urge to argue that art making and art therapy an/or play therapy of all forms, strengthens body-mind perception. will engage the “life forces” of the will&body/feel&heart/Thought&mind(&spirit if you believe in that), and that the experience with the media of choice by itself will indeed will create a beautiful core foundation for pathway making - and a huge potential for success being combined specific therapeutic goals. One of the arguments that pops in my head is “one approach can be specifically intensive or complex system, another system may open ended, simple yet effective. Is it an assumption that intensive more focused processes are better efficient at health benefits?” which makes me wanna understand what I am missing - which is the “Why?” Am just a 24 years old kiddo who’s hand on but non academic, so excuse my newbie essay
May 16, 2022-Good day! The sound on this nicely done video is almost non-existent, unfortunately. I want to let you know so it can be fixed as this is a special type of art that is fascinating, helpful and actually lovely! I have my volume turned just one "dot" below the top or highest sound menu. I can hear the lady explaining it, which seems also very well done-and seems so beneficial. I hate not being able to hear it and I would also be concerned that people will simply turn away from this video or tune out and not give it another chance. I hope you are well and I hope this can be fixed. I have it saved, subscribed and liked but it needs to be fixed-the explanations seem so well done! Plus, I enjoy her accent. The elements of this art form is being exceptionally well explained-I want all to avail themselves of this ! Do have a good day and I hope this is helpful. A fan, Terri
Sound levels in UA-cam videos won't be consistent on all devices though. I'm listening on my computer through 25 year old speakers(!!) and the sound is quite clear. It's less loud (though still audible) on my 'phone and I have to turn the volume all the way up. Fortunately, the video has subtitles (the button on the bottom right side of the video), which goes a long way towards compensating for the slightly lower audio levels.
@@inkbugdesign Thank you for your reply and the explanations. That was kind. Yes, the captioning does help. I will keep all this in mind when I next watch one there! I just wanted to make sure that other's didn't;t turn away from the good descriptions you have because this is an art form that is incredibly helpful, physically helpful and also emotionally helpful. Changing neurons paths in the brain can help people that have had a stroke, other illness, and can help with grief and mourning. It is remarkable! Thank you again.
Funny thing how you forgot the most important detail, to mention who is the person who " invented" the Neurographic Art that is actually Neurographic drawing and that it's a Method used in neurology by actual doctors. Professor Doctor Pavel Piskarev is the author of this method. But by the way you " lecture" it ,you make it sound like is your thing ....tsk ,tsk ,tsk ....not nice madam , no nice at all. A true professional would have had started by mentioning that ,then proceed with rest of the explanation. 🙄🤢
Alison, beautiful work on your channel! Actually, what Piskarev did is create a method called Neurographica and trademark the name. The method itself consists of a process of drawing (that already existed) combined with specific mental practices (that already existed). He sells coaching and certification in this method. Piskarev claims the method is informed by various scientific theories. He also claims it has therapeutic effects. While there is scientific evidence indicating, for instance, that doing art can have positive effects on one's mental health, I found zero published studies on Piskarev's specific method or its claimed benefits.
Thanks so much, this is awesome this is amazing! When I drew along I ended up with a wiggly triangle in the middle yes but got four intersections and eight quadrants, hope I did it correctly
Hi...I am BLOWN AWAY...I've BEEN creating this kind of art (digitally) as you've described for Years and never knew I've been doing Neurographic Art All along!!!! It just come so naturally for me. It's there a career field to consider with this art form??!!?
I recently came across neurographic art but every video tutorial I watched used a different technique.. I couldn't find any books on the subject so started doing it my own way using my non- dominant hand to create the lines in a bid to tap into my unconscious mind. Your video is great because it explains the different approaches and I've actually been drawing the neurographic lines correctly so thank you for that. I'm finding it to be very meditative.
Thank you so much for the explanation its the best explanation of the neurographic art i have listened to ❤
❤ thank you for conveying this simply...I am just beginning to understand this therapy! ❤
I want to say thank you very much you're the first one to actually give a definition that is clear and very understandable

"Make fabulous art for your wall"
Thank you, this is what I'm here for :))
Have you tried Neurographic Art yet? What do you think? 🌺
I started practicing neurographic art nine days ago when I saw a video for it come up in my feed. It is very therapeutic for me and I am really enjoying it!
Am excited to try this , I have been looking for a way to slow down my mind, and relax after a very busy day, thank you!👍💕

Very informative, thank you. 👌💕
If you go through to emulate Kandinsky from early works to his 6 decades of art you will have lots more neurons.
I think I unknowingly used to do neurographic art with Paint lol
You can used any medium that works for you. Enjoy the process. 😊
Hi I just realised that ever since Ive exploring neurography art. I have less headaches. Is that possible?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I do have the link to Pavel Piskarev acknowledging him as the inventor in the video description. Thank you for pointing that out.

I used to do the "popular neurographic art" when I was a little kid except I called it scribble scrabble. Who knew?
This is the best concise, precise neurographic art explanation video. Thank you
Thanks so much, this is awesome this is amazing! When I drew along I ended up with a wiggly triangle in the middle yes but got four intersections and eight quadrants, hope I did it correctly
To be honest, there is no wrong way to this type of art. What you draw comes from your mind. Enjoy creating your unique artworks! 🌹
Amazing and straight forward tutorial! Thank you so much. I can't wait to give it a go ... 🤗💕

Великолепное искусство!
Надо сказать огромное спасибо Павлу Пискарёву, автору этого метода. Для многих людей это просто спасение.
I really need something like this at the moment, thank you 🌹
My it was relaxing and boy did I need that!! 😊
O.T.T. Over the top!
