  • This 3D simulation uses 3D models and a game engine to train a robot to learn the difference between plaice and by-catch, among other things. The plaice are transported on a conveyor belt, intermingled with shells and stones. The computer not only sees every object, but it also knows whether it is a plaice or a stone. 3D scans are used to determine if there are multiple layers of fish on top of each other.
