You definitely don't want a scumbag swooping in and taking the truck from ya. Glad ya found a better route to go over rebuild. The economy isn't big repair friendly right now. Stay safe Darrell ✌️😎🙏🇺🇸
Thanks Tony!
Good luck with the new truck Clutch! You deserve it, you work hard!
Congratulations on a beautiful truck love the color.
Sweet! Clutch is now clutchless. Good fuel mileage, quieter, automatic much less driver fatigue. Now certainly the time to be buying a truck.
IKR, the irony.
Fingers crossed!
Congrats on the new truck. Love the color.
Congrats on the newer truck.
The fuel mileage will pay for it.
Sharp ride, good luck in your new ride. Stay safe. Rusty will enjoy his new ride.
That's the plan!
New ride looks great!! Good luck and be safe 👍

Congratulations Clutch hope CT2 works well for you Be Safe buddy
Good luck with the new truck 👍
I saw the new truck driving by your place today. Looks great! Congrats!!!
Thanks. Hope to get it on the road soon
Oh boy automatic transmission. Less work more sight seeing. You are the best!
Comfortable and efficient ✌️
good luck
Congratulations on the new rig i think you will like the automatic I drove a standard for forty years and got in to automatic, no problem love it safe travels no clutch lol
congrats on the new truck, I'll have to check it out
Congratulations on your new truck, Clutch! Wishing you a million miles of safe travel.
Thank you!
Looking forward to watching you set up this new truck . There are tall skiny appointment refrigerators you can fit under the microwave cabinet and then there are microwave, airfryer, and convection oven all in one that you can put in above the fridge as well you can strap both to the floor and remove the microwave cabinet all together
He’s definitely going to replace the tiny fridge with one that fits close up to microwave cabinet, but initial plan is to use the microwave cabinet to provide anchor for some additional storage space.
@JohnHallgren will he use upper bunk or lower
That’s the plan
I’ll use lower bunk and build additional storage in front of upper bunk
new truck looks great!
I think so too!
NICE! Smart Move! GODSPEED!
I will miss the Shifting Part.
Take Care!
Me too!
Congratulations clutch trucker really nice
Thanks 👍
Awesome!!
The passenger side seat in the back is at a good position to see the drivers side mirror to see dock lights from the back seat
WOW !!! You did say you were shopping for a new seat . Sleeper looks layed out really good and I think you'll like the automatic transmission. You and Rusty have a most wonderful day
Wishing You Well with your new Truck!
I'm sure you'll miss the remodel and your bed in the Coronado, but congratulations on the new truck!
And frame is money😎💯
In frame 🤣😎💯
Gear Jammer Trucker just got an automatic so he's no longer gear jamming!
I am glad you got something else. So much less headache.
You got that right!
Very cool I like it
Hey Clutch trucker, just wanna let you know. I'm happy you're getting a new truck. I think you'll like it. I'm in a 2021 2022 T680 and I'm averaging about 9.1 miles per gallon and I just got In it so I Haven't hold much heavier than about forty one forty two thousand So good luck on the new truck. And you'll get used to the automatic. You probably won't wanna go back to manual. Would just be careful out there take care
The truck I currently drive for Turkey Hill is a '22 Cascadia. The only difference I can spot between the two trucks is that the one I drive has a big radar camera right in the middle of the top of the windshield.
I found that backing into dock with the automatic was a different world to get used to... Congrats and good luck.
I’ve heard that. Will be an adjustment for sure
There is a electrical power distribution module mounted on the driver’s side of the firewall under the hood . If you lose cab electrical power , hit module with hammer handle , a magnetic switch sometimes sticks . Trailer light fuse box is on the firewall too . Is your new truck Rusty approved ? Burgundy color nice .
Thanks for the info. And yes. I’m sure rusty will approve. As long as I put his pet beds in there
Congrats!! That truck should make it till you retire!
That’s the hope
Glad you found another power unit! The transition is disrupting, but try not to do it all at once. I don't know what I would do with my left foot if I drove that thing! I'd have to tie it to the seat or put in a fake pedal. The next one will be a Tesla! Good luck with the new ride and be safe!
Will leave the light on for ya lol
Congratulations CT, you're gunna love the DD engine, my DD15 gets an IFTA average of 7.75 mpg, you'll save about 30k a year on fuel compared to the blue monster, and now your legal enough to visit us out here in California, lookin forward to meeting you, will have to change your handle to auto trucker AT👍
Note that his nickname Clutch originated in his radio career before trucking.
Still will avoid California. No insult intended
Very nice truck. At 1 million I would say CT1 has served you well
Yes
Ha! I'm pretty sure I saw u on I 80 on Monday afternoon eastbound, but wasn't sure if it was u cus you're driving a sedan lol now it makes sense.
Yep a maroon suburu
Maverick Transportation trainer truck👍🏼
As time goes by you will grow to like that DT12. It is an awesome trany., you will like also the Jake Break. The DT12 is very very good in winter driving but you have to switch from auto to manual mode.above all the fuel savings, will be increadible. If you haul havy DD15 would have been ideal over DD13. Your knees will thank you for choosing DT12.I am happy for you 4 the New Clutchless Truck.
Thanks. I had dealer enable manual override.
Is it rusty approved? Cant wait to hear your opinion of the truck later on.
Don't forget know you have to buy def
Yep
Clutch I use streralite shoe boxes for storage above the windshield in front. Probably put 5 up there
That’s exactly what I have now. Unfortunately new Cascadias got rid of that great storage space above driver seat area
14:45 Congratulations! 🎉 you can transfer your old plates to a new truck.
The plates are from TX because that is where Elliot is based, and he got them when he started with El On Wheels, but the TX DMV was/would be such a problem that WY will be much easier to do.
@@JohnHallgrenhe was talking to clutch
Texas doesn’t let u just transfer plates. So getting a Wyoming plate will be easier
Congrats on the new truck. Interested in seeing what mpg you get out of it.
Me too
For a minute, you had me scared, with that orange seat belt, I thought you went to work for schneider.
😂
Bet that legt leg will be lonely for a bit lol. I still reach for the jakes in my car!!!
😂
Nice truck clutch. I guess you traded the old one in. Or did you sell it outright. Take care old friend.
He’s keeping it for certain parts since the trade value is significantly lower due to the remodeling.
Hope they serviced the One Box for you.
Yep. New DPF filters
2 things.
Buy you DEF at Coffee Cups(not the TA branded ones), or Hixton Truckstop, or Quick Trips. All of these will be considerably cheaper than the big guys.
2nd. What’s the gear ratio?
I fill at coffee cups all the time. Will definitely get def there. Not sure on new ratio.
You'll love the Descent Mode once you figure out how to use it
Hello Mr. Clutch: Your new-to-you ride looks nice. Probably a well maintained ex fleet unit. Not sure what those black knobs are on the front wheels, opposite the valve stems. Some sort of anti-theft thingie? And FWIW, your new drives, with their very aggressive tread pattern and high rolling resistance, will probably cost you at least a half mile per gallon over a hybrid tread like a Michelin XDN2 or equivalent. A bit late for that I know, but maybe you could manage a swap or some such deal. Also, the heat of summer is brutal on those deep tread tires like you have, such as a Bridgestone M726 or similar knock off. Just some chirping from the cheap seats. Travel safely.
Those “knobs” are blue tooth pressure sensors.
Get yourself the diesel decoder, keep you from getting towed because of the emissions. It will clear codes and do a forced regen. Talking from experience, I have a 2018 14 liter dd15. The emissions can drive you nuts.
Great. Thanks
I’m glad you made the move. I know ya love the CT 1 but it was time. I think you’ll get used to automatic real fast.
Me too
Yay!
Your going to have to swing back through the muskogee area so I can get a gander at your new truck.
I’m sure I will someday patty. I’ll call if coming through
Clutch. Right arm gonna look 4 shifter. For the next 2 days. Out of habit. 😊 in new truck.
Gotta get some fancy graphics like. Long haul trucking. ..nah. looks sweet as is. All one color..
Smiling from ear 2 ear. Clutch gonna be in the. 8 mpg. Club.. 👍👍👍👍👍 or close 2 it. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊. Good job brother.
Thanks
Truck looks very much like mine.
I rarely use my dining table these days. Too much hassle for me to move the Murphy bed in upright position.
I thought about removing my passenger seat but have yet to do that. Let us know how your remodeling works out on this cascadia.
Hope it works out for the good... Keep track of your fuel mileage this would be nice to know!!! 😉 🙏🙏🙏....
Will do
That Cascadia may give you better mileage than you think. I’m guessing at least another 2-3mpg on a good day. Good luck with it!
Fingers crossed!
Sounds like you were....."Running, Against The Wind...."
Bob Seger
You’re going to make your truck payment in fuel savings. Mine liked 62 mph. Mine got 8.5-9mpg but I’ve always had dd15s
One good thing about automatic saves on elbow and shoulder joints. Wondering how long before you stop trying to engage clutch pedal.
A few months I bet
You'll have a hole stomped in the floorboard trying to kick that clutch..lol
Still a sweet truck, but first addition is a new Rusty bed 😊
Yes
Welcome to the new and improved no clutch trucker channel.
😂
Nice truck but I wish you got one with DD15 instead
13 is lighter and provides similar hp and torque
Turn the other truck into an Airbnb
LOL there are people that would do it, guaranteed
😂
You will be reaching for the gear shift. LOL
He said he’s already done that a number of times on the trip home from purchasing it…and tried to use the missing clutch pedal as well.
Yep
❤Rusty
Big changes happening for both of us Clutch! Your new truck‼️, I got married ‼️I will email you a picture of the newlyweds ~Dunk
Saw the pic. Way to go
Enjoy your new truck!
I’m in the market for to get my first truck.Any advice? How many miles is your Cascadia?
Thanks in advance
If u can afford it. Buy new. With a full warranty
This Cascadia is at 580,000
@@ClutchTrucker the ones I’m looking at are in the mid 350,000’s
What do you think of the Paccar engines?
Use it in manual mode.
If you haven't had an automatic before they're quirky, hills can be fun.
And sometimes scary if you're not used to it can get away from you unless it's set up right😮😢😊
I made sure manual mode was enabled
@ClutchTrucker The electronic mapping of the automatic shifts. They have input some computer programming that has a learning factor so if you make a mistake it will continue making those mistakes so watch the rev limits shift points,, etc, extra fire extinguisher, one in bunk for escape small 1-2large for truck, ive saved em a number of times,,🙄, one frtwhiners.def system.cooked off,,tried to barbecue me,,,🥵
Now clutch did you get rustys approval on this new truck? Nice freight shaker 😊
Yes I did
In frame. Rebuilt. Just because high miles dont mean it needs a Rebuilt engine....
You gonna like your new truck. My favorite color. Always liked the. Maverick trucks. Set up.
Diy. Channel. He has 2 trucks. DD13. DD15. DID MPG TEST FOR ONE MONTH.
DD15. .06. BETTER IN MPG. BUT. weighs more. DD13. 300 POUNDS LIGHTER. ?
BETTER 4 SCALEING LOADS. 😊
In my research. Found the dd13 would better fit my current runs
Quick question are you keeping the CT sign above your head?
I haven’t figured out where it will go in the new truck. But it will follow me in the transfer
Are you still planning on replacing the head gasket?
Maybe
Good luck with new truck. Now you need to find time to sit on those chair.
Just remember this. Only component on your truck to last over 1 million miles is your truck body, everything else needs to be replaced or overhauled. A lot of components are designed to only last a half million miles reliably is the reason why the mega carriers will get rid of their trucks before that half million mile mark. Once the truck is over half million miles, the post emissions truck maintenance cost would be substantially higher than those pre-emissions trucks due to emissions components and the cheaply made in *hina electrical/electronics parts.
Emissions truck might get you better mileage but pre-emissions truck do not use DEF (DEF costs a lot higher than diesel per gallon).
Furthermore, your fuel efficiency is meaningless once you factor in the following,
- emissions related fault code. Each trip to dealership is a thousands of dollars, they usually just clear the code after doing forced regen is all they do. And that will be a thousand dollars and you might have to wait for days before they get you in the bay.
- replacing DPF filter is not cheap. If you replace the one box with new sensors the cost is mind numbing.
- all those bogus ghost faults related to electrical is simply insane.
👍✌
Congrats, Clutch!!! Sharp looking new truck you've got there. And it's got an automatic trannie!! Ooops. I said 'trannie'. The speech police are gonna git me now !! Safe Travels.
😂
You picked a good time to buy a used truck they are at rock bottom prices.
Yep
👍🖖
Comparing the cost of maintaining a used pre-emissions truck to a used emissions truck, I would lean to think it would be much more cheaper to maintain a pre-emissions truck.
Trucks made these days require a lot of extra money to fix,
1. The emissions components. DEF pump and filter, DPF filter (one box), NOX sensor, scr, etc
2. The computer generated fault code and ghost codes. A lot of times the dealership will charge you thousands of dollars to clear the code and they will just do a regen then send you on your way…. After charging you thousands of dollars and have not done a thing to fix the problem that triggered original code. I once asked a dealership why they do this sham job, and the dealership says that’s the standard procedure…. 🤦🏻♂️
Guy says you are to clear the code and do regen 3 times before Detroit will work with dealership to start troubleshooting the fault code.🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. In the meantime you already ended up paying over 10 thousand dollars for them to just clear code and do regen. This is an absolute insanity.
That’s one of the reasons I bought this truck. Has a warranty until 4/1/25. Plus I can extend it. Overall. Costs should be lower
@@ClutchTrucker - I’d hope the maintenance cost will be lower for you.
Those glider trucks still go for good money still. You gonna get top dollar 4 your old. Truck. You old truck. gonna sell or trade in. ?
Keep for now. But you never know
Are you going to keep both trucks and hire another driver or have one for a backup?
Not sure yet
How you liking that automatic??
Not driving it yet. Stay tuned
Im just sad to hear that they sold you a truck with mismatched steering tires. Thats where I draw the line. They could have put a new set of Dealer Cost Bridgestones or Michelins for a thousand bucks. You will be be in good shape with the mileage increase. Congrats.
My current truck has a new Toyo. I can swap out immediately and gave batching steers
@@ClutchTrucker I wish you the best. Being in a tough area to get quality paying loads out of, I can relate to you. I had a steady haul of those oversize earthmover tires up to Gillette, and couldn't believe how cheap they wanted you to haul freight out of there. I finally got hooked up hauling missile parts out of a manufacturer way off in South Dakota, but it was a long deadhead on both ends. Does your new truck ride as good as the other? Happy trucking, Bill
