  • I wanted to practice!
I still can't nail the proportions but it's so much fun to make more human like faces. I really, really, really (from the bottom of my clay heart) hope you enjoy this one.
I needed a break from the freelance animation work. I didn't have time to make this, but I did it anyways. Im kewl.
Love you so much. See you soon!

Despite how small the sculpture is, you are able to manipulate everything inch of the face perfectly and smoothly. For me, whenever I press a side of a sculpture I work on the other side gets completely ruined xD I'm so bad at it.. I have soooo much admiration for artists like you ! And your hard work is breathtaking.
Keep on the good work 💙💙

Incredible control! I really enjoy the translucency of the clay, it sells the 'skin materiality'. Have you thought of playing with layering different clay colours? I could see how starting with a base of red and then putting skin on top might get some interesting results with nice lighting.
The scattered and bounced red light might add a lot of life to the character. Just like when you shine a torch through your finger you'd see the 'blood' inside the characters. But even for other purposes it could be a cool effect to explore.
