I'm happy that SF was the way it was. Got me through 8 years. I would tune out to LIEY and SS to come up from a depressive state. The understanding was great. I felt like someone else understood and just couldn't not like it. Buddy you didn't do this selfishly and you shouldn't doubt what you did. You DID something for others, and you DID what was right. Your core fanbase FUCKING LOVES you and your music for what it is. You spoke to us in your own way and because of what you did, you're who you are now.

"A band is basically a group of people's ego put together into one large massive ego which then goes out and throws their ego all over the rest of the world and other bands" this should be put in definition for bands! Lyrics were always the reason I listened to Senses to Fail and I still love them

I love Senses Fail, ever since I was a misfit emo kid in middle school. I saw them last year for my birthday and yeah, Buddy talks a lot but seriously that show was like a motivational talk in addition to a pretty kick ass concert.

I remember seeing them live for the first time at TOC 2005. I had heard of them, but never realized how much I would fall in love. I admire how grounded and mature Buddy has become. It's humbling. His reactions were priceless. However, he said Pop/Punk! Like no you were EMOCORE lol Despite what anyone thinks I dig their new sound and growth. Follow your Bliss 🤘🏼

Buddy's completely right about the genres that were so big and present in culture just probably about 9 years ago are completely saturated and just a simple brand to attach to your lifestyle and band anymore everyone tries to be these genres rather than actually try to reinvent or redefine and add sownthinf news sb different and Thier own unique styles to it instead they stick to o redone cliches and riffa already done before rather than anything meaningful anymore

this is a great video.. he's seems pretty awkward because he probably doesn't like looking back. but this just shows he's a real ass dude that isn't trying to get famous. buddy isn't a god, he isn't life. he's a normal person that just comes up with great music with 4 other bros.

This was fun to watch. Back in 2003-2004 we had the Internet and better access, but we didn't have smart phones or UA-cam, so I think us teenagers were much more naive about the world around us. I'm a lot like Buddy though, I'm glad we have these songs, bands, and memories to look back on, because like he said, the pop/punk genre is basically dead & the music business is completely different now. It's funny because I bought 3 SF CDs in high school but I never knew who they were or what they were like. Music spread much more by word of mouth back then.

The first time I heard Senses Fail I was on a family vacation in Hawaii. It was the summer of 2005 and I was 11. We all went on a vacation to Hawaii to celebrate my sister's high school graduation. I had adopted all of her music tastes growing up, in fact my first ever concert was NSYNC. Around the age 11, though I was adopting some of her more "punk" (I called these bands punk because I didn't really know what punk was) music like Yellowcard, Jimmy Eat World, and others. My sister was talking about this band that she really likes was actually in the same city we were in to do a show and this radio station was interviewing them. I remember hearing Buddy talk about how he would still preform just fine after getting hammered the night before. Then Buried a Lie started playing and my sister and her friends lost their shit. Senses Fail opened up my interest in this specific genre of music. They are what led me to liking a lot harder or "screamier" bands and unfortunately brought me into my little emo/skater kid phase. I don't really listen to that kind of music that much anymore. I got over the whole emo or scene thing when I was 14. Still though I still listen to Senses Fail frequently (along with bands like Slipknot and Beartooth) but Senses Fail is still the best of this type of music. Especially Let It Enfold You.

Track Jacket x C Umm... No? I actually still listen to a lot of the same kind of music. I just kinda now listen to every kind of music. I don't really care for EDM or dubstep or whatever else people are calling it. But thank you for that very uncalled for attack but you are very very wrong.

I have to say to some extent this is still one of my favorite bands. While my music taste has evolved, and changed over the years, I can still go back and listen to the music of this band and enjoy it. In a time when My Chemical Romance ruled the radio waves I found the album Let it Enfold You, in a now abandoned store that was once an amazing CD store...Back when iPods and MP3 devices either didn't exist or hadn't caught on at the time...there I found this band that no one talked about, i never heard about them...but, they had a name and album that struck me...I picked it up on a whim and haven't regretted it sense..It was a different world back then...I had just or was about to graduate college, when I discovered this at a pivotal and eventful time in my life a long long time ago in 2005, a strange and distant time. In a way this was my soundtrack for a couple years as I transitioned from high school to college, dealt with losing friends and being kinda lost and not sure what was ahead of me, and making in meeting new people in college when I was almost sure i would never fit in with anyone....This CD accompanied me on many lonely nights as i delivered Pizza's, and it accompanied me during good times as well....Don't get me wrong there was other music from that period that still influences me, as i have always had various taste, and as I listen to these guys, the seeds had been plant for awhile, and i was slowly and finally seduced by the wonderful world of Metal....where I found Chimaira, Lamb of God, and many other who became great outlets to listen to when i was angry or upset....or just wanted to listen to people....and Children of Bodom, Immortal Souls, and the melodic and wondrous sounds of melodic death metal.....and the aggression of Death Metal...Now I'm kind of like all over the map...i still love metal and punk....but, i have had a growing interesting in music that i think most might not care for....the smoothness of jazz, the world of blues, the wondrous tunes of polka, even classical music sounds good....but, i still love me some Metal and Rock N Roll....but, man this kinda made me relive the past a lil....it was a fun little romp.

I keep coming back to this video once every 6 months or so, I love it. AP should make this a series, where either Buddy keeps reflecting on the time, or hosts a show where other artists can reflect on that time. I still am heavily into bands in the scene and this era of music, it still makes me nostalgic regardless of that. There was nothing like getting home from school in junior high and high school and turning on Fuse while eating snacks and doing homework, learning about all of these cool new bands and who was playing on Warped Tour or Taste of Chaos. The good old days.

I have to say this is quite refreshing to see him humble himself and how much he has matured and grown-up. I was the biggest Senses Fail fan and met them circa 05' at warped tour and they were the biggest jerks to us. So, I have to say, seeing him speak about how far he has come took the bitter taste out of my mouth from so many years ago. He seems like a pretty nice guy now.
