Thank you for another excellent episode. Your analysis of what’s happening in New Zealand rugby is both informative and very impressive-the best I’ve encountered on UA-cam. Diving into the world of rugby videos on UA-cam often leads to an overwhelming array of choices. Yet, take a moment to congratulate yourselves, as your analytical, and critical approach surpasses all others. This, I believe, is attributed to the humility and authenticity of James Parson and Bryn Hill, who are either actively playing or remain connected with current players, providing them with insider insights. In contrast to channels that feature ex-players like Jeff Wilson and John Kirwan, your channel offers a more nuanced understanding of the current happenings both on the field and behind the scenes. Ross, your role as a moderator is commendable, posing great questions that help highlight the expertise of both James and Bryn. Thank you and keep up the great work.
Sam Cane suffered from being tagged very early in his career as the “next Richie McCaw” and was constantly compared to the best to ever do it. Cane was a great player but had the weight of expectation put on him time and time again. I think this is the best decision for him and his family, especially when had to not only deal with the opposition, but quite often his own country.
Not just Sam Cane. Anyone playing flyhalf also seems to receive so much criticism for being good to maybe very good, but not greatest like Dan Carter. Suppose it's the gift and the curse for playing so close after the greatest players of all time. Replacing McCaw, Carter, Read & Whitelock etc. will not be easy considering they were once in a century type players..
When the dust settles Cane will be looked at as a solid 100 test AB. No one can ever take that away from him and his family
When did Cane play 100 tests? Did I miss something?
@@classicMrE Yes just yesterday reports were his career maybe be left on just 95 test
it's no qurantee that Razor will him in the squad because he hasn't played since January and will be sidelined for at least until another 2 months. Also Razor have plenty of quality loosies to pick from the Blues Canes and the Cheifs and the the ABs need to give new players enough game time to reach test level standards for the RWC 2027
I agree he doesn't get the respect he deserves...
👏 Sam's a champion and a role model 👏 big thanks 2 that man 🫡
He not getting a 100 cause he ain’t getting back in
Irish supporter here. Just to wish Sam Cane all the very best for him and his loved ones in the future. Sam is a grand fella, a great player and a fine ambassador for Rugby Union, the All Blacks legacy and the people of New Zealand. God bless you Sam and Family 👍🏴☠☘
Lets leave richie alone. He had his time
Aye.
Good for Sam. Guy broke his neck for the jersey and still puts it all out there. He’s done the Jersey proud. World Cup winner, idk how many bleds and rugby championships he’s got under his belt.
Cane was one of the reasons ABs won the quarter over Ire.
On another note, could we continue on this insightful show with a bit more analysis of super rugby matches? I'm thinking tight matches with the trans tasman sides, what one team needed to do, and did, to win or get back momentum in a game. Missed particular analysis of a couple of close games, what did the Blues do to get over the line away against the Reds, what did the Reds do the beat the Crusaders at home. Asking for something that your giving in spades, always looking for more. Thanks.
And he's why we lost the final
It seems the talk about bringing Mo’unga back is coming from the body who set and insisted on the rules around eligibility in the first place. As with a few other matters in the last three or four years this lot couldn’t lie straight in bed. Another failure of nerve and integrity. Whatever you think about Foster his treatment was appalling by NZRU.
Its Razor trying everything to get him back...
Harry Plummer defence is outstanding. The last three or four games he has made some great try saving tackles.
Loose forwards for the All Blacks: Savea at open side,Finau blind side and Sotutu at 8.
Savea should be captain too.
Agreed! With Jacobson on the bench with Lakai
Ever since I first got into watching Super Rugby when I was living in China, I’ve always enjoyed watching the blues, back with Weepu and Rene Ranger, I have supported them ever since and I’m really happy to see them having such a great season. They are really in with a strong chance to win the comp, definitely a huge challenge as the Canes look immense, but I’m still backing my boys in blue.
I remember when Rene Ranger had that stand out season and promptly went overseas.... such a shame, he was a machine.
@@mikescudder4621 yeah I remember that as well, he was electric to watch.
Let. It. Go. Mo'unga chose for personal reasons to move on. NZRU are showing desperation to get a player back that has chosen to move on from international rugby. What does that say to existing 10s in NZ? "Sorry guys, we don't think you're good enough" How does that encourage players to stay in NZ to be an AB?
ABs to reunite one of the most exciting 9/10 combos in NZ Super Rugby History .... Perenara/Barrett :D
Says a lot about Scott Robertson and I really hope it works because I wouldn't say Ritchie Mo'unga is THAT good
TBH it’s probably mostly Scott Robertson who trying to pull some strings to get Mounga back, as much of a great coach he is, he’s probably really biased toward his crusader players and wants his star playmaker back, he needs to get over it focus on the players here in NZ, we have equally talented players in Barrett and McKenzie.
It's because he's good and has experience. Razor knows this better than anyone.
totally agree the same goes for Sam Cane Razor have enough talent on form to pick from this panel is so one eyed and biase with their views. He was the worst ABs captain ever
Should be Roigard-Barrett for rwc27
Richie wasn't always the player that he is. He evolved into it. No doubt about it. There are players in NZ right now that will surely evolve into world class players. The way NZ has always done it. Who was DC when Carlos Spencer reigned supreme? Go Allblacks.
Carlos Spencer was an erratic average player. He could carry carters jock in a paper bag.
lol Carlos reigning supreme 😂😂😂
Spencer was NZs, Quade Copper
As the Frozen song goes regards Richie Mo’unga and now Shannon Frizell...."Let it go". Those players wanted to persue the next stage and experience in their Rugby careers, and good on them too. The next wave have arrived leading up to the next World Cup. Razor has proved he is good at developing players so looking forward to the naming of his 1st ABs squad.
Richie quit NZ, he quit the All Blacks, he quit the Crusaders for his own reasons, let him go and move on. Plenty of quality 10's in NZ who will step-up. Let Richie go, he's made his decision.
50 all black caps minimum to be eligible from overseas and no need to play NPC or super. This will allow NZ to still retain and grow quality players like we always have while allowing our loyal players to make some serious money in the later parts of their career. It wouldn't open the floodgates because these players are few and far between. South Africa has won two world cups with an even more open policy. NZ rugby needs to stop handicapping itself
Why change the rules for a coach? He's supposed to be the best, he shouldn't need preferential treatment. Choose players from the player base, not the wish list. Another peeve is AB's walking around with another countries' flag draped over their shoulders, especially when he's World Rugbys player of the year. Who are you playing for? Rugby by its nature is Nationalistic. I always thought proud Kiwis play for the All Blacks.
@@Jusnzl That's capitalism and the free market, baby.
We have Tongans and Fijians playing for us that wouldn't qualify for the ABs if WR had the same rules as FIFA. We should select the best KIWIS, regardless of where they play. It happens in every other sport. Name a top football nation that has all their players in their domestic comp.
Why change the rules for Mounga he's no Carter.
Richie decided to leave for three years at a time when he knew Razor would be coaching the ABs. Why is no one asking why he did this? Why not a one year built on sabbatical?
Exactly he's played his part Damien McKenzie will do the job fantastically
Stay there Rit chie and build up the bank balance ! Razor will just have to make do!
Aye
I’m not so sure wanting a 29 year old, non-dominating flyhalf recalled, presumably to play the same basic gameplan, when we have lots of developing talent committed to playing here is “open minded”. It seems quite narrow in focus, in fact. I was hoping for some innovation, not more of the same.
True i personally think he's overrated.
ABs don't need Mounga, time to move on and build for 2027
South Africa can keep their local comp strong because they produce 3 times as many players
Then why did NZ teams consistently beat SA teams when they were in super rugby?
@@tattmoon1 If you where referring to the 2016-2018 time period first of all everybody other NZ teams included lost to the crusaders constantly if that team doesn’t exist the lions probably win at least two super rugby titles and secondly New Zealand teams didn’t consistently beat the sharks and lions I feel I don’t really have to explain the lions and as for the sharks they would literally beat kiwi teams and then lose to Aussie teams the next week that shows you that talent wasn’t the problem consistency was and consistency has nothing to do with players playing overseas or in country
@@BraamBezuidenhout from 1996 to 2019 when SA teams were in Super Rugby there was a NZ team in the final 21 of the 24 years with a NZ team winning 17 of them championships and all 5 of the NZ franchise’s taking a trophy Crusaders x10 Blues x3 Chiefs x2 Canes and Landers x1 each seems pretty consistent to me.
Yes the Crusaders have dominated the majority but most other franchises have had strong periods of consistency on there own
@@natedogg8775 yeah that’s true if you go by titles won which is basically one game every year(assuming that the top of the table team doesn’t always win the final) but if you look at the seasons as a whole other than 2019 and 2018 it really wasn’t that one-sided infact pretty sure 1 of the most consistent performing teams over all the seasons of super rugby where New Zealand and South African teams played where the sharks 4 finals,4 semi-finals and 4 quarter-finals that is comparable to most Kiwi teams the bulls 2006-2010 where dame near unbeatable rarely losing to anybody, the stormers 2010-2015 we’re notoriously hard to beat and the lions 2016-2017 where the second best team in the comp both years and who knows might have even beaten the saders if not for that red card of course I’m not saying that SA had the better of New Zealand teams New Zealand definitely won that battle overall but remember my point was why I felt South African teams do seem to handle losing players better than the rest of the South and that’s because of their giant playing pool and rugby school system which is enormous and only getting bigger because of the growth of the game among the black population while on the other hand I’m hearing the player pool in New Zealand is actually shrinking
@@BraamBezuidenhout the finals are all that matters as we know reflecting on the past 2 world cups the Boks have won given they lost pool games in both and were never consistently winning between the cups if your argument was to be taken in to account the we could argue the fact that in 8 world cups SA have lost a total of 8 games and in 10 cup NZ on 1 more on 9 but we all know that doesn’t matter and that SA are a more consistent and successful World Cup winning nation at this point in time as NZ has been a more consistent team overall
And yes your right the number of players have dropped off in rugby in recent years for sports like basketball and Soccer but I believe we still have the talent pool to get back to our former glory
Why you guys had no mention of the southern derby crusaders vs highlanders . That was the highlanders best game of the season and now ranked 7th . There combo at 9 and 10’is doing wonders for them and their backline is amazing especially timoci on the wing and having most breakdown turnovers . Come on guys
They do this every week unfortunately. You'd be forgiven for thinking some teams had a bye week since some great games are completely skipped over.
If Mounga’s contract in Japan is for 3 years, won’t he be able to come back to Super Rugby for World Cup year? Why not wait until then? NZ can use these 3 years to build depth at 10 and bring Richie back later.
No it's Damien's time to take hold of this team new coach new team new beginnings 💯
I think we need to be open to the new law changes.
Finally someone said it💀🤣🤣
Hey guys, South African born, just love the style of New zealand rugby. I wanted to find out why Can't World Rugby add second teams (New zealand 2nd 15) into tournaments, wouldn't it increase the quality of games. Have those 2nd teams compete with the tonga Portugal teams during the years in a 2nd team tournament to help increase the competitiveness and quality of the game. You could then have competitive plate games at the world cup games
No podcast version this week?
Mo'unga is a good player no doubt but the obsession with him is unreal. We have ample talent at 10 and frankly some stronger options, Mackenzie for one who has been a much more consistent though less flashy 10
Hey, We showed the same zeal to sign Mr Robertson. I talking about the fans as well, well most of them.
Mcgenzie little Mcgenzie that can't defend.😂😂😂😂😂.
DMAC is Ben Blair with ADHD
@@michaelmoynihan9591leave my DMac alone 😁
True Mounga is no Carter not even close let him go.
JK made a good point the other day. Play our 10s in Super Rugby for now and try them out for size in the next few years and use Mounga as a Get Out of Jail Free card a year before the next RWC.
None of the 10s we have are anywhere near his class. He was wasted in the ABs playing 2nd fiddle to Barret, we haven't even seen him play in the ABs properly due to that. And what an assumption that the kiwi public wants players picked from nz. I want the best AB team. Make them earn 40 caps and then be eligible from overseas, it's easy and still keeps the young players home until they have international form.
Excellent comment.
People complain about Richie potentially coming back, but they wouldn't complain if he did and went to another level in the ABs
Too many people watch 5 minute highlight packages of Beauden and McKenzie on UA-cam and not the whole 80 minutes of Mo'unga dominating. Hansen and Foster both chose to play Beauden at fullback and still wanted him as main playmaker never giving Richie Mo'unga full control.
Very worried that razor wants to play super rugby at test level...
Id wish sam all the best. N cheers jippa blues were good. Dont needa get all kirwin about it. Thanx
A team with the weaker scrum will go early in the scrum to get a free kick so they don’t have to scrum again.
For mineI reckon the 'canes need to start Flanders against teams like the Blues & Brumbies, and just get him to try to bruise the opposition for 50 minutes then bring Iose on to try to take advantage of fatigue & gaps.
Richie is gone, McKenzie is the #10 the ABs should build around, matches our style, and is tough to defend against.
"Were used to selecting on form in New Zealand". Most untrue statement this while pod. Sam cane himself has been an example of exactly the opposite. We have been needlessly loyal to incumbents
Not when they then proved their worth, as Sam did. Not only my opinion but this panel and most of the comments here too.
@@geofflecren8827 you're right on stats Sam was one of the best but the balance has never been right with him on the field. And I do stand by my comment that form hasn't been important for the all blacks for years. If the incumbent was at least serviceable they would always get the jersey ahead of a bolter that was playing the house down. Sam has been a great servant for NZ rugby and man I feel for him. But I can't say I'm not excited to see what happens now he's gone.
@dmazingi I agree, but I think we've had bigger problems replacing Kaino and Read for the balance you're talking about. Another factor is the timing in the RWC cycle. Of course we're all excited, but there wasn't another 7 I'd have put on ahead of Sam to start 12 months ago.
NOOOOO he had years to flourish and did not deliver on the highest stage
He had his turn
Took the cash
Good for him but time to start fresh
You guys ever talk about the Highlanders? That was their best performance of the year and they’re in the top 8 too!
It’s crazy how none of the players in that team is talked about either
Like the amount of great work JRK is doing
My last 3 rounds in the rugby pod tipping comp 👇👇
Round 10 - 14th
Round 11 - 6th
Round 12 - 2nd
Coming for that top spot, chu k some respect on my name, cheers 😜
Having 20 scrums a game is time wasting and as spectators re set scrums are frustrating to watch. Scrums should only be used for knock ons and forward passes
If Razor is such an amazing coach why can't he just build new relationships with the no 10s we have available?
Mounga must be sick of the phone calls.
According to the Breakdown, the NZRU have been mentioned trying to get an early release for Richie from his contract.i have no doubt Richie and Razor have had those conversations.Harry Plummer raised his stocks,I really hope Scott Robertson will consider specialist No10 DMac Beaudy Harry preferably
Brett Cameron , Jacobs looks promising with more exposure to super rugby experience.
Hahaha, too right mate
Yep my point exactly. We can always revisit Mounga if we're in trouble before the World cup. It's not like we need him right this moment.
Trust raz in what he wants. He’s had the best record as a coach so why doubt him
Can the super rugby competition really justify a top 8?
Looking at the table and the gaps between the top 4, middle 4 and bottom 4 teams are huge.
Would going to a top 4 or top 6 make more sense making every win matter rather than some teams just getting through mathematically?
That was the nzr caving to the aussies who wanted at least one or some of their teams involved in the 'finals'. That and it not being an 11 round comp where everyone just plays eachother once is ridiculous.
Whoever would've ever thought that wearing the Black Jersey would not be foremost on a New Zealand rugby players mind.
Brin needs to come home and coach his insights are always on point
Bryan Hall should've been considered as an All Blacks especially during RWC selection
This show way better than "The Meltdown" Honest Analytical unbiased Rugby people talking about rugby.
Gosh Mounga is no Carter what's all the fuss?We shouldve done this in 2019 called Carter back.Time to move on instead of going back to the same old players that never won a world cup for us Mounga had 2 chances to win a world cup and only had to get a kick over in the final but failed normally he would get a kick like that and that's the difference between him and greatness great players make it count when it matters
@@classicMrE Carter was new in 2003, he didn't play in the crunch games and not at 10 anyway. He got injured in the 2007 quarter, and out of 2010. He essentially had one crack at a world cup run, and nailed it.
Why does NZ write off Beauden at 10 when the rest of the world breathes a sigh of relief when he’s not picked at 10? Everyone outside NZ believes he’s the best 10 on the planet, even now!
I agree Barrett is the best 10 we have, however because Mounga has had so much success with the crusaders over the last 7 years, a lot of Kiwis particularly crusaders fans now believe he’s the best, despite never achieving the same success with the ABs.
I judge a no 10 based on their test level form and Barrett has always seemed to perform better in the black jersey, although he did seem to drop off in form over the last year or so.
Is that why Hansen and Foster both shifted him to fullback at test level?
@@Karpetburnz Classic case of would’ve, could’ve, should’ve, didn’t. We will die wondering had he played 10. Beauden’s rugby intelligence is remarkable. Form is neither here nor there… he’s a big match player, already has a RWC gold medal (in the 10 jersey). Yes, the ABs are spoilt for choice at 10, but powers that be couldn’t see the wood from the trees . In my books, BB any day at 10, even for 2027.
@@thejunglecrab2141 I think there’s a lot of recency bias with a lot of Kiwis, Mounga was the All Blacks first choice no 10 during the World Cup and people now associate his name with that position and the majority of people have now forgotten what BB was capable of in the black jersey.
Barrett was a bit unlucky to be shifted to fullback after the all blacks lost 3 games in a row in the 2022 season, NZ rugby sacked fosters assistant coaches and hired Jason Ryan, Joe schmidt and made some selection changes including Mounga at 10 after Barrett had suffered a head knock against SA. After winning only their second game for the season and saving fosters job, the AB selectors kept that same team all the way through to the World Cup.
it wasn’t a matter of Mounga being the best player, it was more about continuity and not changing a winning team, which foster was under immense pressure at the time to keep winning.
I look forward to seeing how BB will perform with Scott Robertson as the new coach and I hope he unleashes his potential we all know he has.
Yes Richie mo'unga must coming back
From a South African 🇿🇦. New Zealand rugby should just swallow their pride and select overseas based players just like SA. Rugby has evolved and it’s no longer viable for players to play in Zealand and not accept those lucrative overseas deals!
While I appreciate the topics brought up in this show, do we really need to spend so much time on some of them? There were some really good games last weekend, and yet even with some of the NZ teams, you'd never know they even played.
Let's go Mounga the best flyhalf in NZ BTW best in the world in my opinion
Reading the comments section here and some Facebook rugby posts, its evident that NZ is very closed minded about bringing back some players overseas who still have form and experience. Richie stands out because DMac couldn't control a game at 10, lets not forget, we almost lost to an Average Wallabies side last year under DMac. Rmo is there to push DMac because theres no real competition for him at Super level. You dont want him to be complacent. BB will eventually retire before the next RWC, although hes experienced, I dont think hes in form. The Springboks brought back their overseas players and won the RWC twice. Why cant NZ learn to do that? It will be a better foundation for up and comming players.
Should have picked a ABs coach who wants to look forward not backwards.Where is his confidence in the players of NZ.
What message are NZRU sending to the current players. Razor stand up with what's in New Zealand. Bad start for Razor.
Ruben love fullback
So good.
We need to be blood a 25 yo fly half now so they hit their peak in 4 years
So there goes the scrum in the middle of the posts 5m out. Jeez, speed up the reset scrum ls rather than try to get rid of them altogether.
thanks Sam Cane!
Cane wont be missed
You should be able to pick your best players to play for your country, wherever or whoever they're playing for. Mo'unga should be one of the first picked, he is top quality and above any other NZ 10 at this point. I'd love to see Ruben Love have a crack at 10, he's a big body, fast, good boot, good pass, good brain. Combo with Roigard in the future. Ratima at Halfback for the All Blacks now. Sorry TJ.
I personally think Mounga is overrated leave him there.
Yeah Ruben Love was a 10, but NZ is utterly obsessed with making every first-five a fullback for some reason. Ruben Love seems like he'd be worth a look at as a 10, if he'd be given an extended run there. Plenty of other fullback options, it's 10 that is thin.
@@jacobh1867 yep 10 is thin, put him in there for Hurricanes next season? but what do you do with Brett Cameron? Brett Cameron is holding the spot at the moment, and doing well himself. Super Rugby Finals will be very interesting. An extended run would be key! Ruben Love could be anything! He's world class quality. Essential he is trialled there at 10 well before the next RWC 2027, the season's go quick.
Once again, respected by the team but not the public. Why is he playing for personal reasons. He wants to move on for new experiences and family life. The jersey is not there for personal reasons to get to 100. Sevea all the way!
Sam Cane's been a great player for the ABs but his time has come. The same with Mo'unga. Focus on the next crop of talent.
Yes ABs need Mo'unga -DMAC is Ben Blair with ADHD.
Cane a great soldier, hope he enjoys the rest of his career and then his retirement.
We knew that DC took time to be consistantly amazing, it would be a mistake to make changes at number 10
Rassie Erasmus is way ahead of World Rugby, that's why he brought in Tony Brown and have been grooming flankers that can play prop like Gerhard Steenekamp and Ntuthuko Mchunu. 🇿🇦👏🏼
What did Tony Brown achieve as a coach?
Way ahead with Tony Brown? 😂.
richie moved on pick the best players in new zealand if RAZOR cant do it with that then maybe he is not the right man for the job why not put more into those playing here
I think World Cup last year done his head in
I wish I had the confidence in myself that Bryn has in the Crusaders
James Parson's remark about billionaires is rubbish. Football has loads of them but players have to be released for international games and clubs are sanctioned if they don't. That is what rugby needs. Clubs still release tier 1 players, but don't with tier 2. Australia, SA and Argentina always have their Europe and Japan based players available for the RC and November games.
Where is the money coming from NZRU?
So both tipping on Reds to win against Drua at home(Fiji).....yeah...Good luck with that
It's time to move on from Sam Cane, he's been part of so many bad results in the last 4 years there's no need to keep him around.. It's Dalton Papalii's time to shine. Peter Lakai, Du'Plessis Kirifi and Billy Harmon are able backups.
Pretty sure that every commenter in here against Ritchies recall will be the loudest and most opininated if Ritchie doesn't come back and we lose against the Poms!
hiw pundits can even mention Blackadder any more is beyond me
Cane has never been the best 7 in NZ in his entire career
Razor wants Mo'unga BAD.
Savea is so much better than Cane theres no comparision and Savea have been playing footy unlike Cane. Razor best option is to pick pkayers only for the plans RWC 2027 and Razor is not silly like Foster. People also quickly forget that the ABs have their worst record under Foster and Cane
you are in lala land if you think kiwis will ever forget
What Cane has done looks like a low blow for me. It appears he's forcing a selection into the ABs to be a swansong moment. Ardie can play 7, Barrett at 6 and Iose, Sotutu and Lakai as utility.
I find it hilarious that ppl were calling for TJ to be left out when our scrum half position is light where the loose forwards are stacked. I hope Razor calls Cane on his bluff and plays for the future.
He didn't step away - he got told he wouldn't be captain and probably wouldn't even be needed.
You may be correct, I did think this aswell
Thats just speculation. Why come back at all if that was the case? Towards the end of career, take the money.
Crusaders would kill to have a composed young 10 like Cam Millar or Harry Plummer
Nah, they have Havili ;-)
They would have had Fergus Burke barring injuries, but have somehow managed to let him go for next season which is a worry.
he not experienced enough at international rugby level
this is level is way way different to super rugby level
@@JimmyKip Thats crazy talk. Maybe Mounga is coming back?????
😂@@mikescudder4621
Stay away, Ritchie. You've had your time in the limelight, and missed the kick that mattered. It's time to let others thrive at the top.
Yeah, let's put hare brained dmac in there.
Jordy missed the kick that mattered....
We wouldn’t have made quarter’s if it wasn’t for richie let alone finals . Thats even under Foster. No 10 is even near his level of gameplay.
Sam has had a bad run recorded in history as the alblacks captain red card in a wc final. He should move on. Good luck to him.
27 test matchs as captain but how many of those tests did he lose? 🤔... he will go down as Abs worst captain same as his daddy Foster as head coach, cant think of too many worse capt/coach combinations for Abs ever! Sayonara Sam Cane enjoy the money was a solid player at best but will always be remembered as that capt that when it mattered most he let the team down ala Chiefs vs Saders Super rugby final couple years back red carded last 10 minutes literally gave Saders the win then there was the historical first ever test series loss to Ireland home or away where he was carded & sent off, outplayed by his opposite Van der Flier whole series then there was the big game World cup final vs Boks where he was sent off once again! When the team needed him most he let them down with poor discipline or decision making that's how I will remember Sam Cane!
Build a bridge already. Nobody thought we would get to the final. Why don't you talk about his captaincy against Ireland in the quarters.
Pretty harsh man. He constantly put his body on the line for club and country without a complaint. It’s a very fine line these days with tackle height rules.
@@MegaTkls That's what every Ab player does though, McCaw is a great example of that put his body on the line every test match & was a target by all opposition getting battered & smashed all the time & most often then not came out on top also remember him playing that 2011 RWC final on one foot as his other was broken that's what you call an inspirational captain & leader!
@@Saiyan4eva that was the 2011 WC final
@@MegaTkls 2011 I mean & went back to back first ever player or captain to do so!
beg to differ on Sam Cane thanks very much for your service Sam. your will be forever associated with a very average performance of the All blacks and much of this as Captain when you were available. only time will tell where you sit as a All Black captain and as a player. you are in good company of other past players and captains. however you almost reached the pinnacle of achievement but alas it was not to be.
Yeah, getting sent off in a world cup final as captain is stellar stuff.
RM shackled by foster .
Razor without Richie.Crusaders don’t Win all those titles.💯
He was sucked .period
mounga wasnt good enough either
It is a great thing cane has gone. Foster and him put all black rugby four years.
Agreed. I think this yr is a massive rebuilding phase for the AB's. There was little to no player development under that idiot Foster,so we start from ground zero.
I don't have high expectations for this yr,possibly even the next. It's going to take time to blood new players, and implement Robertson's systems. But I do believe once it starts to gel it will be a thing of beauty. The public will just have to be patient.
@@richardscanlan3419 Oh they won't be patient. So many are waiting for razor to fail. Just look at how much they hate the saders.
@@Marius_vanderLubbe well,I hate the Saders,but then I'm a Blues fan ( JAFA born/bred).
I think the fans will be patient as long as they see genuine progress. And,I believe that will come.
And if it happens that we start to become a serious threat at test level ,you will know from all the whinging out of SA and the northern hemisphere:))
Loosing by one point 15 vs 14 in a world cup final doesn't seem to suggest the ABs were put back 4 years.
@@richardscanlan3419 At least you're honest about your hate, richard. I love knowing the saders have 14 titles and it makes people very hateful.
Will Sam even be selected?
