Those round bone things you keep finding would make lovely pendants ,if you could drill a hole in them. I enjoy going along with y'all on your trips wish I could actually go in person. Our history started here in 1492 your go way earlier than that so very much history to enjoy. My ancestors did come from England and Scotland.
So, a mudlarks tool kit pouch and yes, a spray bottle and also a soft bristle toothbrush. And some toothpicks to gently remove mud from fragile objects. Along with some hand trowels and your kit should be complete!
That decanter top would made a fab vintage dowsing pendulum! Loving those black buttons, they remind me of Queen Victoria, the original Goth dressed all in black 😂
Favorite find🤔... 👍🏼definitely the black buttons🙌🏻!!! Although your bead, Miss Kate is a stunning shade of pale green... almost a sea glass green🥰. BEAUTIFUL!!! Really looking forward to Saturday's video. I LOVE🤸🏼♂️🤸🏼♂️ Halloween🧟♂️🧟🧹🍬🎃💀🦹!!!😊🤗🤭😘. See ya soon 🙋🏼♀️
Never apologise for your nails sweetie. You have beautiful crafter/makers hands. I used to have slightly long nails and perfect hands which went well with my love of sewing.....quilting, embroidery doll making & I wore gloves for gardening. Then six years ago I discovered Soapmaking. Now I have short nails and well worn hands! I can only recommend gel nails that need UV curing. They last 3-4 weeks on short nails with care. I’m still surprised you don’t wear thin vinyl gloves. I would. Protect your hands from... oh wait, you are in the UK. No poisonous things in the water! I would be worried about the odd thing here in NZ. But more worried about the complete lack of finds. Love your videos, and the making ones. Good to know I’m not the only one like you both out there. My husband says we are a well scattered tribe....xx🌺🌝🌺
Thanks for sharing your muddy mudlark adventure! After months of magnet fishing rivers near Chicago, IL USA I finally found a proper mudlark spot! I found bits of patterned china, a shotgun shell dating to 1910 - 1930, a small jawbone with two teeth and I pulled a bottle out of the bank. Plus... wait for it... I found a tiny blue bead! It was sitting on top of a dock like a present. The fall rains have covered the beach now but I can't wait to get back there. If I find part of a doll, you'll hear me shout all the way over there!
Yellow wellies are back, yay! Your mom’s wellies really fit her name, I love them. The inkwell is a great find as was all of them. Thanks for sharing your outing with us.
Always a privilege to watch most enjoyable video’s and the amazing things you find really fascinating keep up the good work and keep safe lovely people
Oh how exciting to find a new treasure sight , we loved the glass inks you found, we have a small collection of the pork pie ones and a few others but no glass inks , take care xx
I'm glad you found a new area to search, it's good as you never know what you might find. I like the ink bottles and yes you will have to have another trip there. Take care and see you Saturday
2 nice ink's in one trip Iv'e not found a nice ink bottle for ages.but i found a super cool hag stone on Whitstable beach with a heart shape inside when you hold it up a first for me. stay safe guys.........
Good place to search for sure. I would collect all that seaweed for my garden. When you had those two ink bottles together didn't you notice the buckle just above them? Mum found a complete doll's arm at least. That real pure MUD larking.
So exciting that you found a new spot! It looked as though you had a great time and it proved to have great finds. I guess my favorite was the mother of pearl button. I have a few and that one had such great color. Glad there was a handle to be found! His eyes were shining!
Nice video Ladies .The "stud " looks very much like a Roman Hob nail,if so by far the oldest find on this hunt .Google it and look at images . . Happy Hunting ... Terry .
I got so excited when I saw the ink bottles too!!! Thanks for cheering me up today, this weather is dreadful here in Oklahoma. Looking forward to seeing the Halloween special 😀
They can't see well looking through the camera lens, I also think they should move the rocks and the Seaweed. I know there is stuff all over those beaches that get stuck under rocks and in the Seaweed.
I was watching a video from Chill Bill from about four years ago when I saw something that looked very much like the “jewelry” item that Kate found on your video at 2:14. The watch in his video is from 1600s and he says that the little cover at 2:51 is something that you may find. His video is called “Inside secrets of a pocket watch from 1680” and the video was released July 11, 2016.
When I see a little stud like the black one you found I think of a stuffed teddy bears eye. I have a really old bear that had an eye like that except the edges of the pointy part was serrated. I guess they weren’t thinking of the child’s safety way back then.
I suggested prior to Halloween when you found broken limbs. Then I watched your Halloween special and was so pleased to see one! Great minds think alike.
Kate, Whatever happened to your little swirly jewelry piece at Two : twenty six? That was a short and sweet muddy lark. You won't forget that spray bottle again, eh? : ) Green bead was my favorite of your finds. Good seeing you mucking about with Mom and Sis, Oscar. Nice tea cup handle there. Are you going to craft something with your handle collection or display in a case? I like the new location. Looking forward. : )
20:54 Is that writing at the top rim of the pipe bowl? I can not get it any bigger on the TV to see 20:55 looks like "MOT......" from this angel Great video..... Give your brother a big hug, he seemed heartbroken when he looked back at you in the distance, it seemed like he was really excited at finding the cup handle, my heart got a little mushy for him
Love your new videos, wish I lived in England, I am a holder of a British Passport so when the world gets back to normal I will come to visit and see family, maybe we can meet up for a day of mudlarking.
hi,i also have one of those bone discs, its a bit smaller but looks same,i think they are some sort of game piece.they feel very used.very tactile,i wonder.
What a lovely surprise to see a vid from you uploaded for our viewing. What happened to the Celtic design piece you found, no sign of it in the round- up. It's always such a joy to find buttons and beads. I found a beautiful Art Deco glass button though the shank is broken when I was last in town scouring the foreshore, I thought the stair rod holder looked like a bird, maybe even a robin. Just needs a red breast and white chest,
We forgot to put it in the round up. We have so many boxes of finds for films to come sometimes things get mixed up or forgotten (trying to have a back log of films for a lock down, lucky really!) :)
HI, looks like fun your joy is palpable . Just an observation though: there was a pipe bowl right next to your bead. Did you miss it or did you edit it out? In any case, good job!
I know it's a year kate but for anyone who, like me, stubles over this video and this comment: the bowl you see there is the one she found before that, she put it down next to the inks to have a free hand to pick up the bead 😉

What a lovely beach to explore and such great ink pots!
Thanks so much 😊

Thanks! 😊xx
Awesome finds guys well done and definitely go back there 👏👏👏👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

Lovely lark, lovely ink bottles. Thanks for taking us with you. Stay safe. James in Holland
Such great finds. 👍😊
Lovely. Just came in from hoiking logs about to light the stove. Cuppa tea, warm fire, a snoring tired out dog and mudlarking. Perfect x
That sounds so lovely! :)
What a sweet little spot! Fun finds! Cheers!
Thanks 👍

Yellow wellies are back, yay! Your mom’s wellies really fit her name, I love them. The inkwell is a great find as was all of them. Thanks for sharing your outing with us.
Thank you so much! :)
The pipe with the thumb print is for a better grip on the pipe for when its wet . Makes holding the pipe better . Lovely finds ❤.
Ahh that would make sense! :)
I love you guys, ya'll are so sincere. Much love from across the pond. USA :)
Love all tiny bottles and your yellow boots
Nice finds! Love the buttons!!
Lovely new spot for a mudlark 👍☺
Loved the finds 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Can't wait for the Halloween special 🎃🎃🎃 Happy Halloween 🎃🎃🎃
Thank you and happy Halloween! :)
Always a privilege to watch most enjoyable video’s and the amazing things you find really fascinating keep up the good work and keep safe lovely people
Thank you very much!
Great job I just love you inkbottles❤️🇨🇦
Oh how exciting to find a new treasure sight , we loved the glass inks you found, we have a small collection of the pork pie ones and a few others but no glass inks , take care xx
Thank you we have not found a Pork pie yet🤗
I'm glad you found a new area to search, it's good as you never know what you might find. I like the ink bottles and yes you will have to have another trip there. Take care and see you Saturday
Thank you so much! :)
Love your ink bottles and your week day mudlark!
Thanks so much!
To know that those black buttons were touched by women who lost loved ones is really moving. So many mysteries in the mud!
2 nice ink's in one trip Iv'e not found a nice ink bottle for ages.but i found a super cool hag stone on Whitstable beach with a heart shape inside when you hold it up a first for me. stay safe guys.........
That sounds lovely! Haven't found a hag stone for awhile :)
It was a nice Thursday surprise to see you post. Looking forward to watching your Halloween 🎃 video on Saturday.
Another promising location. Maybe you could take some newspapers to crumple and pad between you bottles to avoid breakage, shame about that ink 😯
Here in the states we call it beachcombing. I really like the word mudlarking more. 💕
Sometimes the sound of the sea is enough background sound to accompany videos...beautiful sound :)
Good place to search for sure. I would collect all that seaweed for my garden. When you had those two ink bottles together didn't you notice the buckle just above them? Mum found a complete doll's arm at least. That real pure MUD larking.
Oh! I was wondering what that allen wrench looking thingy was. Of course. : )
@@rockreader4298 You threw me when you called an Allen KEY a Allen wrench. Keys go into holes not a wrench (spanner)
My Grandmother used used to wear large button clip earrings
Just like the black glass faceted button Kate found reminded me of
Her!! 👍🎃🎃
My grandmother wore those same type of earrings too.
So exciting that you found a new spot! It looked as though you had a great time and it proved to have great finds. I guess my favorite was the mother of pearl button. I have a few and that one had such great color. Glad there was a handle to be found! His eyes were shining!

Kate googled it and it does look very similar! :)
Oh my gosh!! Those ink bottles are bucket list finds for me!!!
Interesting mid week mudlark, but can't wait for Halloween mudlark. 😍
So glad to see Oscar joining in on the fun:) Great finds in the mud!
It looks modern but it part of the necklace looks like the sun I look gold
Love your ink bottles tfs xx
Thanks so much 😊
So glad you guys found a new spot, keep making your videos,as they’re beautiful 👻❤️👻
Thank you so much! :)
Good Afternoon... Welcome back. XXXXXXXXX
Love love love. I so wish i can turn back time because my little one would of loved doing this😭😭.
❤
I got so excited when I saw the ink bottles too!!! Thanks for cheering me up today, this weather is dreadful here in Oklahoma. Looking forward to seeing the Halloween special 😀
Thank you so much! :)
You can take the offerings if you like. Once they have been thrown into the river they have completed their job. So to speak.
7:20 top center... another ink bottle, upside down?
I thought so too!!!
Think so!
I was watching and saying, Please see it, please see it 😊
Me too!
They can't see well looking through the camera lens, I also think they should move the rocks and the Seaweed. I know there is stuff all over those beaches that get stuck under rocks and in the Seaweed.
Nice finds. Where was Kate's jewelry piece? Hug Sunny cat. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
We forgot to show it :(
Wonderful finds. The 2 inks are lovely :)
Thanks so much Adam ! 😊

Funny you should say that I found a teddy bear eye in one of our videos coming up :)
Some amazing finds well done kind regards Elaine kayes Cumbria stay safe xxxx
Thank you so much! :)
Liebe Familie,
Einfach nur schön😊🥰☺️
Thank you so much! :)
I'm looking forward to some peg-leg pirate dolls. they could hide there gold (leaf) on their peg. lol
Ha I made a peg leg pirate in our Halloween video how did you know? :)
I suggested prior to Halloween when you found broken limbs. Then I watched your Halloween special and was so pleased to see one! Great minds think alike.

Loved your video
Thank you for sharing always enjoy your videos🦇👻🎃🐱
Oh my gosh! Oscar is getting so grown !!!
It is scary how fast he grows! :)
The first piece of sea glass you found looks like a jelly bean.
Maybe that pipe bowl had a decorative element going from the bowl to the stem, sort of like the handle on a teapot?
Lovely video!!
Excellent finds, my favorites are those ink bottles 💗
The top of the decanter......perhaps a future Christmas decoration ??!! 💖
Possibly haha :)
You picked up the bead you did not pick up the other pipe might be complete I thought you saw it right there by your hand
Fluer takes the prize for most impressive wellies this week.
Thank you so much! :)
The bone disc may be the bottom of a box the tapered edge fit in the ivory band that was the way early snuff and toiletry boxes were made.
Thank you for that :)
20:54 Is that writing at the top rim of the pipe bowl? I can not get it any bigger on the TV to see 20:55 looks like "MOT......" from this angel
Great video..... Give your brother a big hug, he seemed heartbroken when he looked back at you in the distance, it seemed like he was really excited at finding the cup handle, my heart got a little mushy for him
Thank you so much! :)
Love your new videos, wish I lived in England, I am a holder of a British Passport so when the world gets back to normal I will come to visit and see family, maybe we can meet up for a day of mudlarking.
I hope the world gets back to normal soon :)
I think this should be called extreme mudlarking! So hard to see anything when it is covered in a layer of muck. Good work!
It is hard, you have to look for shapes! :)
There's another Amber ink bottle push that would make three do you see it 3 ink bottles
hi,i also have one of those bone discs, its a bit smaller but looks same,i think they are some sort of game piece.they feel very used.very tactile,i wonder.
They are very tactile! :)
have you thought to make a bead curtain using pipestem peices?

Why don't you use the bird grid (ground oyster shell) to clean bottles like Northern Mudlarks
Hi Oscar.. Lovely to see you.. XXXXXXXXX
💖💖💖💖💖💖
Another bottle stopper
Grate video and some fantastic finds. Why dose some of the glass found whilst Mudlarking have a pearlescent colour to it?
I think we might make a video about that! :)
That would be swell :)
Is that another coin near to the top of the screen at 12:00? It certainly looks that way! Loved the ink bottles, by the way.. 😊
I hope not! :)
Well done Oscar how is the handle collection coming along?
HI, looks like fun your joy is palpable . Just an observation though: there was a pipe bowl right next to your bead. Did you miss it or did you edit it out? In any case, good job!

Could the round bone pieces be poker chips or checker game piece? Do they have those in England?
It could be checkers maybe :)
What will u do with all the buttons u find?
Oscar is so handsome
Did you get the pipe right next to your green glass bead?
That was the pipe Kate had already found luckily :)
Thumb print
Include water in your bag
Black glass drop
You got a green bottle and the other one look like a brown like an amber color might be white
👋
