Sunny says he is a great find, too. I love all the garnets and mother of pearl. That ring, wow! What a great lark. Thanks once again for sharing your adventure.
The abalony needs a garnet in the hole, would be beautiful as a necklass. I love the ring! You two are the best! Your voices are so soft and comforting. Thank you!
Lots of lovley garnets with one lovley fur paw thrown in hello sunny.i think the mother of pearl would be nice made into a mosiac picture with a few garnets for decoration like flowers to resemble you ring a lasting reminder of your find.
The piece with the hole in it is a abalone shell beautiful rainbow colors in it. Will make beautiful jewery I have many pieces myself and two whole abalone shells I love them.
Such beautiful finds, I would love to have just one garnet from England as I was born there but sadly never got to go to the Thames as I was 12 when we left for Australia and I love your mud larking adventures. I hope you’re not heading for another lockdown as I read you might be, please stay safe and well, love and blessings to you and your family 🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
The shinny bits and pieces of abalone shell are perfect for a wind chime, to hang in the sun. When the wind blows the rainbow colors of the shells reflect beautifully.
Oh Kate 😳, I'm so very excited for you about your found ring🤸🏼♂️🤸🏼♂️🤸🏼♂️!!! I have to admit my heart skipped a beat afew times as you excitedly moved it around with your fingers😳😱. I was so afraid it would snap if it had any tiny fissures or fractures in the metal😒. It's beautiful and we all can't wait to hear back on it's provenance 🤞🏻🤞🏻. Ah Fleur... did we get a wee glimpse 🧐🤔 of your new wellies😉🤭🤫?? Can't wait for episode 2, love mudlarking adventures on the Thames👍🏻👍🏻. Love to all 👨🏻👩🏻👦🏻👩🏻🦰👨🏻🦱🧓(Nan)🐈🐟🐟😉🤗🤭😘
I have to agree the mother of pear is always a great find. As women we love shiny things. Nature has beauty all around even in the mud on a river. Loved watching you gather the garnets one of my favorite finds as I adore garnets
When i go beach combing, i find it very useful to use a tic-tac box comes in very handy for small and tiny things, just something that could be very handy to collect those sharp rusty pins in .. Love the finds, well done xx
The mother of pearl piece with the hole is abalone shell. Native to South Africa and Canada's Pacific coast. The abalone animal has 6 eyes that protrude through those holes on stalks, like a snail's eyes.
The piece of dark-color shell, with the hole, is from abalone shell. I believe it may be called ormer shell in England, but ormers are smaller than our Florida abalone.
Wonderful finds! On the mother of pearl, they make wind chimes from them, inlay jewelry, and the American indian did and still make bird fetishes for jewelry and garments, If you had a dremmel and a file they can be very easily made and I always loved them. or you can put small hole on the sides, use jumper ringer to make bracelets n such. Love the garnets! I wonder if the crimp ball finding they use in jewelry could hold them may have to glue them in but would make nice earrings and dangle for bracelets!
Love the mother-of-pearl and it could make a wonderful mosaic creation of some sort - and the garnets are so beautiful too. Maybe some of the garnets could replace the lost gems in the old ring?
Hi my beautiful ladies...oooh love the things you found...i think the mother of pearl should be used for something special ..was thinking it would be pretty to put some on your candlesticks with lovely glass it should reflect the light so beautifully and maybe use some of the mother of pearl to be put on a container top ...maybe a small jewelry box and if you look at your stack of stick pins they look like stick figure people maybe you could make a small something with stick figure people on it also i saw one bent backwards and it looked like a praying mantis the top of the pin looks like the head so very cool finds ....its so very sad that you ladies are so cool and the thought that i can never meet you both your so far away but im happy to watch your videos i would love to hang out and search for bottles at the dump and do crafting ohhh what fun...well we do what we can ...hugs to you both from santa fe texas in the u.s.a.
Hi guys always great to watch . the mother of pearl is from ormer shells I loved the ring forget me not flower to remember someones love i think looks old.stay safe.....
It does look like a forget me not ring. People are suggesting Victorian but my gut is telling me older. I always go with my gut, which has stood me in good stead in the past haha. If it is Victorian ring I imagine it was handmade though :)
Lovely video. Missed Oscar ☹️. Kate your ring 😱. I’m imagining all kinds of things (who wore it, why was it lost?). So exciting! Fleur a wind chime out of mother of pearl? They are so beautiful. Loved the video ladies. May have time to craft again. Keep safe. 🦋
I so love your visits to the Thames -- you find such incredible things...garnets, pins, mother of pearl, that exquisite floral ring! I would definitely keep that key handy -- you never know when you may need it. This was an amazing visit or two....Fleur, love your new flowery wellies. Kate, thanks for the monocle close-ups of the finds, that was helpful. As always, a beautifully filmed video with wonderful musical selections. Your attention to detail shows in everything you create for us. Please, what else is on your Dream FInd List? -- you seem to be finding them all recently.
Garnets galore. In wee bottles full of metho. or glysoline Reallt shows them off. A bit disapointed that we never saw you two ascending that tall ladder. That silver nail polish was a bit distracting LOL. Good luck with that ring.
From what I can see , the ring you found is extremely old !! And looking forward to you finding out just how old it is !!! I'm so happy for you sweetheart , and by the way , I think the Garnet's you found would serve your ring justes and make it so beautiful to injoy to look at , so stick with the Garnet's for that ring , God bless you both...
As I watched you trying to pick up tiny garnets I kept thinking it would be easier if you took a teaspoon with you. Then, you could just scoop them up. I wish I knew of a place in the US (where I live) to casually pick up garnets.
There are garnet mines in North Carolina. My family is from there and when I was a child we would go to the mines then down stream to pick the tinies up!!
Isn’t the mother of pearl actually from sea shells?? I just went to Michigan and found some of the same stuff and it’s all broken seashell! None the less everything is so beautiful! I hope one day soon to come to your neck of the world 🌎 to go mudlarking! It’s a bucket list :) planning for next year!!! ❤️🙏
oh my goodness those are some amazing finds! I just found my first mudlarking find, a piece of ceramic, maybe a mug handle. I'm excited to learn the history of other items! Your camera zoom is so clear, and I love the water sounds
Fun finds and loved the new wellies-so cheerful. Please be careful working with the mother-of-pearl. If cutting it, the dust is very toxic to your lungs so you need good ventilation and appropriate mask. I hope you find out something soon on the ring-so exciting!
Hello there! Why not pick up all the pipe stems you find and cut into different lengths like 1/2 inches and smaller lengths and dye them all different colors to make necklaces or bracelets! I think that would be beautiful....Just a suggestion..Love your videos!
"Come for the pins, stay for the garnets", 😆! Brilliant 👏!!
:) :) :)
Sunny says he is a great find, too. I love all the garnets and mother of pearl. That ring, wow! What a great lark. Thanks once again for sharing your adventure.

Yes the shell with the hole is abalone. In NZ it is called Paua and used to make lovely jewellery.
Wonderful lark. Well its always a wonderful lark.
Two very precious gems find some semiprecious gems on the foreshore.
Ahh thank you :)
Beautiful finds and beautiful music as usual
Beautiful you could make angels wings with the mother of pearl and that was such a beautiful ring
That is a lovely idea! :)
Lots of lovley garnets with one lovley fur paw thrown in hello sunny.i think the mother of pearl would be nice made into a mosiac picture with a few garnets for decoration like flowers to resemble you ring a lasting reminder of your find.

Ooo, I can see see crafting a hedgehog from your pins with tiny garnet eyes

I really hope you get here one day :)
Beautiful love old staff and your videos make me so relaxing thanx you sheare with as🤗
You should carry a pair of tweezers for the small ideals between rocks or hard to pick up.
I was thinking the same thing
Yes or a teaspoon
@@suziethompson5890 Me too!
Or hemostats
Kate uses tweezers in next Sundays video to pick up a lot of very small things :)
Great!!
Garners are my favorite gem.
Mine too :)
That little coppery hook you found could be used for a pot holder in the fireplace of your miniature Victorian doll house!!
Lovely finds Ladies!!!!
Wonderful video! Great finds!
You find some beautiful things and make some lovely jewellery great video
Thank you so much 😊

Great video some lovely finds thank you kind regards Elaine kayes Cumbria stay safe xxxx
The shinny bits and pieces of abalone shell are perfect for a wind chime, to hang in the sun. When the wind blows the rainbow colors of the shells reflect beautifully.
Beautiful idea :)
I was thinking the same, with regards to both the abalone and iridescent glass. It seems they’d both look beautiful in motion!
Defently an old ring can't wait for more information about it 👍👍👌👌😁xx
I hope you picked up all the garnets you could. They will come in handy in a future project !!
You need to bring some med. bottles o put your pins and garnets in. Also a pair of tweezers would come in handy. Love your videos and your finds.
Love mother of Pearl those pieces would make beautiful pendants hanging from a silver chain. Absolutely stunning. ❤👍
Thank you :)

Lovely video and finds, thank you.
Got watch my favorite mudlarkers, another video
Thank you :)
You could glue those garnets on the old pin heads and sell them.
Ohhhh, all the pipe stems! They would make gorgeous bracelets!
The piece of dark-color shell, with the hole, is from abalone shell. I believe it may be called ormer shell in England, but ormers are smaller than our Florida abalone.
Thank you for that :)

Hi You lovely family. The key is large because many less able people find small keys hard to turn... XXXXXXXXX

We will not be going back there for awhile now because of this stupid virus! :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers Mick thinks we won’t be able to travel in December I can’t bare to think of another holiday cancelled .
The ring is beautiful. Everything yous collected in this video is fantastic. Some of the mother of pearl pieces look like angel wings
Thank you so much!
The garnets look like little dried cherries so pretty in The natural state!
That's lovely :)
So glad to get this video notification!
Love your videos. And your cool.
The piece of shell that has the hole and is in colors of blues and greens, is a piece of abalone shell. In California, we have these shell fish.
Just passing by.. thought I'd subscribe! Love mudlarking vids and your in my collection now! 👍
Welcome and thank you for adding us to your collection ;)
Lovely video. Missed Oscar ☹️. Kate your ring 😱. I’m imagining all kinds of things (who wore it, why was it lost?). So exciting! Fleur a wind chime out of mother of pearl? They are so beautiful. Loved the video ladies. May have time to craft again. Keep safe. 🦋

Beautifyk ring and loved the garnets. The Thames keeps on giving despite the numbers who mudlark there. Nice music lovely pair.
Thank you so much :)
Who Knew pigeons were so knowledgeable about jewellery from the 15th to 17th century 😄, Such a fantastic fined.
:) :) :) :) :)
You should carry small plastic ptescription bottles for those tiny stones and pins. No added weight to your bags.
I so love your visits to the Thames -- you find such incredible things...garnets, pins, mother of pearl, that exquisite floral ring! I love that you pick up the little pins they are fascinating to me. Great video can’t wait for the next one.
