The trouble is it's like Christmas, you wait and wait for it to come round then before you know it it's the end of the day, you're food stuffed, tired out, slightly tipsy and wondering what all the fuss was about. But unlike Christmas, this only comes once in a lifetime. So, all you fellow fans of a certain age, like me, have a ball, raise the roof and make it a day to remember. unless you're on a planet of Nogrowhairia where everyone is bald and no one can tell toms from jerrys, unless you're from another planet and just popped for a visit, but still then your hair won't grow, cause that is the point of Nogrowhairia, but if someone were to cut your hair, it wouldn't grow back and you will be bald forever, or until that time you left the planet, but until then stay away from scissors ! scissors are not cool !
It's a running joke on "The 5 Who Fans" that Moffat absorbs eyebrow hair from people around him. Now that Matt has left the show his brows seem to have started growing back in again.
let us just hope galaxies stay intact, he has quite remarkable eyebrows

New Who makes me sad. Not because of the quality - I think it's great. The problem is the quantity. I miss getting a weekly fix. Now it is long periods of longing with semi annual binges.
I am so surprised that PBS in America isn't doing ANYTHING with the anniversary today. This was how most of us became fans of the Doctor. Someone missed the boat bigtime.

I wish BBC was better at making money from a worldwide audience so they could afford to make more shows each year. The content is good enough to be even more successful than it is but the distribution and pricing structure limits the potential size of the audience.
PBS gave them a huge audience that they essentially ignored and never figured out how to profit from. BBC missed many opportunities then blamed the content creators and this mismanagement killed the show more than anything else.

There will always be a group of fans who don't like a particular Doctor. I'm not one of them; I like each Doctor equally because each has brought something unique to the role.

Who decides when the current Doctor regenerates? Is it a contractual thing, or does the actor just decide to move on?
well I know Christopher Eccleston left after 1 season and it was his own decision and I believe David decided to leave after the 2009 specials, not sure about the actors before the revival though.
