  • Too rusty? Yes, this double decker bus was so rusty that I had to use tin patches. The drive mechanism was also repaired and everything works. The bus is like new! This restoration is one of the best on channel Restore Machines! Watch by yourself :)

As someone who has collected old antique items all my life (I’m 33 now), I take so much pride in giving them new life and will continue to cherish these items until I pass away. Then hopefully someone else will love them the way I did and pass them down and so on. ❤️ Thank you for giving an old rusty piece of metal- a new chance at life. I’m glad people still care about old toys like I do 🥰

@William Johnson well, honestly, that is how I got into fixing clocks. Pictures after taking away every single piece. Indeed, after some time, you develop a natural intuition around how things go back, but before that, just taking apart and putting back works with photos. Restoring damaged parts is a totally different topic though.

When I first saw that rusted silhouette I knew something amazing will be coming out at your hands.. God bless your talent.
You must seriously consider manufacturing premium 'period toys' given your experience and knowledge. It could be a massive business.

One of the best builds I've seen so far on you tube but if you have got the tools and a knowledge of these fantastic old toys then you can do anything! Good video I enjoyed watching it. É tão bom quando só é o barulho das peças, sem música de fundo.
    Amo o barulhinho do conserto.

A great video! Your techniques for restoration not that far from that used in full sized vehicles, putting 'bog' in the rust holes, then sanding back. Well done!

What a great restoration. I can’t believe you air brushed all those pieces! I’ve got hand cramps just thinking about it. Also the trick with the tin can was clever, I thought for sure you’d have to either have to weld it or remake the piece entirely
